I had been dealing with intense pain in my neck and shoulders--so much so that even turning my head was difficult. My massage therapist, Yoyo, was absolutely outstanding. Her expertise and attention to detail were clear from the start. Within just 30 minutes, she completely melted away the pain and tension in my neck, shoulders, and back. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and pain-free. I highly recommend Bay Massage, and especially Yoyo, to anyone in need of real relief and exceptional care.

I actually ended up having back spasms on one side for the remainder of the day after this massage :( The provider alternated between feather light touch and then without warning using pressure so painful it was strange. The majority of the time wasn't even spent doing actual massage but rather ridiculous tiny circular moves and light brushes of the skin. Her technique was rudimentary and unbalanced. She didn't respond to pain cues at all. The only positive part of the expensive experience was the beautiful studio..

I have been doing PT on a ruptured Achilles and all that comes with it for about a month, which results in me doing leg day effectively 4-5 times a week. The work has been good for my muscles and correcting issues, but it's also a lot and my hips, thighs and feet needed some work. She leveraged multiple different types of massage modalities and helped me ID what was in need of more work. AND, while asking me to detail the situation to work on, she didn't count that in the massage time giving me the full 60 minutes in addition to the time we spent talking about the needs. I feel MUCH better and am still taking in as much water as I can to flush my system of the crap she released with the work. I regret not living here (from AZ) as I would see her more often, but I am sending my daughter to her instead. Heartily recommend, especially if you have real areas that need work. She has good advice and options to help, and she does great work!

I noticed Mirage Massage just opened and figured it would be easier to book an appointment there. So, I went to their online site (www.miragemassagewhidbey.com) and was able to book an appointment for the next week! The clinic was only 20 minutes away by foot from my house, so I got in some steps and walked. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and walked in to find a little waiting room/reception with a couch and chair. Not much in the way of decor, but this clinic just opened, so that isn't a surprise. Shortly after I arrived my masseuse, Sue, walked in and introduced herself and led me to the massage table. The massage room was comfortably arranged with the table in the center with an overstuffed chair on one side and a side table with the music speaker, hot towel machine, and accents. I regret I didn't strike up a conversation with Sue to find out how long she had been working as a masseuse or anything else about her work history, but I still had an enjoyable and relaxing massage. I just hope she doesn't get so busy that I can't book future appointments!
