Do not book an appointment here. There are a lot of other spas in Ajax that would welcome your business and will appreciate you. I guess this is what happens when the spa manager gets paid regardless of whether a client books an appointment or not or whether the customer is happy or not...she still gets paid. One of the reasons I book a spa package is to get that ZEN, but before i even set foot in this spa, Zen is gone and i was simply just stressed out because of what the spa manager made me experience. I was looking for a Spa in Ajax where i can come once a month and spend about $400 per session. The owner should be aware as to how the customers and potential customers are treated by the staff. The Spa Manager is rude and condescending and needs training in customer service. Not only did I find her rude, they are also way too busy for you... i understand that other spas can be busy as well but they make sure their being busy is not the client's problem and make it invisible to the clients. I took the time to detail out the questions I have and to detail out the services I want but when I was on the phone I was asked if I wanted a female RMT and if a Saturday appointment would do when it was clearly stated in my email that no weekend bookings and only a Female MRT for me. When explaining what I wanted over the phone, I was rudely cut off and accused of changing the services I want several times when I only made 1 change - to NOT use their package and instead simply do the services as is. Then she said they are too busy to reply so I will reply some other day but then I waited and waited and nothing How many times can the reception/manager make you feel that your business is unwanted? Perhaps they are already busy that they do not need my business or they get paid their hourly wage either way...happy customer or not. I am sure the spa manager will have a story to show she wasn't in the wrong, but none of her stories will bring me back. Also this review is not about right or wrong, it is about how i was treated as an unwanted customer and that they are way too busy for me and that they lack customer service. If you are looking for a spa in Ajax or in the Durham Area, do not book here. You can book elsewhere where you and your business will be greatly appreciated. Imagine, i haven't even stepped in the spa and already have this experience. I cringe at the thought of actually going there. Beware of the spa manager... Wow I don't know what others are rating here. I booked an appointment for myself and friend over a month and a half prior to today. 2 days before the spa calls to say sorry 1 of the 2 female rmts is no longer available. Then we arrive at the spa and told that they found out 30 mins prior to our arrival that the 2nd female rmt is not trained for hot stone massage. Forced to take Swedish massage that we didn't want Lessons learned don't listen to the receptionist. We booked this appoint at the time they suggested to get what we wanted. She lied to me and said both were trained for hot stone and rmt. The guy I had terry was not very good at all. I have had many hot stone therapy and this was one of the worst. I won't be back here. Looks nice inside but the service and the customer service sucks. Trust me book elsewhere. Very annoyed taking time off work and paying this $$ for not what was ordered. read more

I have been a customer of Spa Sedona for quite some time and just work literally 1 minute away so it is very convenient also. I had a service booked on Dec. 16th but unfortunately my dog was hurt the night before and had been up in the night with him all night and at the vets most of the day... I missed the appointment. To make a very long and extremely frustrating story short, I called them back once I realized and explained what had happened. They have a policy which I totally understand for delinquent people that a fee goes on your account, after explaining what had happened in length they said they would have to speak with the owner and get back to me. They did not get back to me so I just called and she said the owner would not remove the charge...I am completely taken back by this that I had no control over what happened to my pet and it was very stressful situation in itself !! also what we have all gone through these last 3 years that they would not reconsider helping out someone that has never done this before!! I will never be going back to a place that has no empathy for people at all !! read more

Although the service is good and the place is clean, the woman behind the reception desk is very rude and unfriendly. She should be replaced. She does not make people home, does not smile and does give good information about your service. She cuts you off with unpleasant comments if your ask questions - never friendly. I cannot recommend your spa if she is there and I am surprised after many reviews about your receptionist - that she is still there. read more

It was my first visit to this spa and my treat of choice for the day was a 70 minute Swedish massage. I must say, it was very difficult to get a Saturday appointment. When I arrived I told the receptionist it was my first visit. She welcomed me but did not proceed to tell me anything about the spa. I asked if there was availability for me to add a facial to my program and she told me no. Which I expected because of the short notice but she didn't offer to look for another day. Mark was my massage therapist and he was excellent! The music in the room was soothing and the oil was not over powering in aroma. He used warm wet towels throughout the treatment which was amazing. The only criticism about the room would be that the table squeaked...a lot. It was a bit distracting. I always like to relax after a message but there really isn't a space to do so here. The area designated for this was too busy and loud. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a steam room or sauna. Upon checkout, the receptionist had a RMT receipt all ready without me asking. This was a nice. However, she didn't offer to book a future appointment. I will go back and try other treatments (if I can get an appointment). read more

I won a gift certificate in an auction and I didn't realize there was an expiration date of only 4 MONTHS. Having been away for the winter I rediscovered it and enquired. Every place I have every seen gives a one year expiry. I was told that the owner had been caught with expired gift certificates so she was decided that was how she should treat her clients. What a way to bring in new business! I guess if that's their customer service, I'm glad I didn't trust them to work on me! read more

We arrived at this place not knowing anything about it. We had made frantic calls to area day spas in the hopes of possibly salvaging a long awaiting spa day with my BFF. We called this place on our way back from a very upsetting and disappointing experience at another spa we had booked that morning (see my review of the Uxbridge Manor and Spa) Sedona happened to have two spa packages available & we were on our way! From the outside the place did not look like much, but once we were inside we knew that this was the place we should have booked to begin with. The owner greeted us and took our coats, then we were immediately ushered into a luxurious ladies change room equipped with lockers, a rain shower, fluffy towels robes and slippers. After getting into our comfy robes we relaxed in an amazing waiting room complete with snacks, lemon water and a variety of teas. After a short wait, my friend and I were treated to amazing facials and massages. We returned to the waiting room to relax over a light spa lunch. It was the most relaxing experience ever and we felt pampered. This is what a spa experience should be. The great thing is it was only 8 mins away from my home!!! I can't believe that I thought I needed to head far to have a relaxing spa experience when this place was just around the corner. Thanks to the owner who made us feel welcome after a stressful terrible morning and allowing me the opportunity to do something nice for a friend that really deserved a little TLC! read more

Went here to get a massage last week and was pleasantly surprised. I normally go downtown TO and was not expecting much from a suburb spa in a lil plaza. In the from reception area it's nothing special, but then when I went into the rooms inside I was very impressed! Clean areas with tea, water and snacks, a small change room with lockers and robes. The only thing I wish they provided was slippers. My massage therapist was great! She took great care of me. This place is professional, I got there on time, was escorted into the spa area quickly and massage started right away! I will most likely go here again since it's close to home and better than travelling all the way downtown. The only issue is the slippers....but that's minor. I never ever did a review before but I am so upset I got too say something. I booked a couples massage three weeks ago, and confirmed it two days ago. I just got a call saying that one of the massage therapist said she had an emergency and has to cancel my appointment. But my wife can go to her if she would like. But my appointment is not till the next day so how is that an emergency, that is time off and they can't get someone in to replace her in short notice. Its a couples massage, hence we get a massage together. To make matters worse I have a daughter who I got a service to watch her while at the massage and since the cancelation is under 24 hrs I now have to pay for that. $30 for nothing. So I don't recommend this spa if u want to go on the weekend or if u have kids that need to be watched. They need to hire more massage therapist to work at their business. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I had a horrible experience dealing with the owner of this Spa. She was extremely rude and abrupt with me and kept interrupting me with a condescending tone. I spent $500 for 2 gift certificates and when I called for help this is the treatment I received. She even told me 'well you haven't even used our services before and I'm not making an exception for you.' I guess thats why I was treated so poorly? Interesting way of doing business and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated like a human being. I have 2 $250 gift certificates for sale dirt cheap if anyone wants them - I will NEVER go here to use them. If I can stop even one person from visiting this horrible place I feel I've done them a service! What a waste of money. :( read more

The Staff here is absolutely and utterly terrible. DO NOT GO HERE. The first time I came i drove 45 minutes to make my appointment. When i got there i was told that the therapist was not coming in. After voicing my frustration i was offered a free pedicure for my inconvenience. I also booked another appointment to give them a second chance, as i was looking for a new place in the area. I could only get a week day appointment which I called and cancelled. When i called to use my free pedicure i was giving they told me no cause i missed my appointment which i Cancelled. The receptionist was very very rude, and told me i would have to wait till next week for a decision to be made. Needless to say, DO NOT GO HERE, they are rude, arrogant and very condescending. I do not wish to be talked down to a company that I am trying to give business to. read more

The service and reception at Spa Sedona were professional and courteous. The atmosphere is relaxing and the changing rooms are clean and well stocked. i have had no issues and have been going for over two years now. read more
