My major complaint is regarding the hair salon, hair cuts are average at best although they do have a few skilled hairstylists who need to go elsewhere. Price points are high for the service provided. Customer service is LACKING. I missed ONE hair appointment due to unforeseen circumstances and the manager emailed me scolding me like a child telling me that I am no longer privileged to make an appointment in advance and now have to pay for all services upfront. LOL what is this a doctor's office? I've been coming here for years. I am shocked at how poorly they treat their customers and have never been treated this way at any other hair salon. I have recommended massages here before and will never again. Due to this, I will never EVER come here again for neither hair services or spa appointments. Lifespa needs an attitude adjustment.

I loved it as well. While it had the luxury trappings, it was smaller than I had anticipated. Nonetheless, my massage was excellent. The atmosphere was very calm and serene. I felt like I was the only person in the world. I was happy that they offer appointments on Sunday, which is super convenient. I also liked that when I paid by Visa, I wasn't prompted to tip the therapist. (I still did though, because I had a fantastic session.)

I confirmed back a time via e-mail and even received a reminder e-mail 24 hours before my appointment. LOCATION It is right off of Bayly - note it's not located in the condo towers but rather next to them in the townhouses, street-facing. Parking is street parking - I had no problem finding a spot on a Tuesday evening but I can imagine it might be a challenge during the weekend. FIRST IMPRESSION When you walk it, it's absolutely stunning - classy decor, very clean and very chic. It's very small (one treatment room) however it's done up amazing. I was met by Yao (my massage therapist) and had a quick health questionnaire to complete. MASSAGE QUALITY Amazing! I had a 90 minute massage done and it was completely worth it. Yao focused on my problem areas (shoulders, neck, upper back) and also accommodated my requests (no feet - I have an issue with ppl touching my feet!) and also made adjustments to the pillows so it was more comfortable. The massage cream used was also very nice - lightly scented (not too overpowering) and not too greasy. OVERALL I have found my go-to massage place in Pickering (have been looking for awhile). The hours are fantastic and they are open 7 days a week. Because there's only one treatment room, you feel like it's your own personal spa - no hearing other people walking/talking, getting their massage done...extremely personal and private. Highly recommend to check it out!

Do not book an appointment here…read more There are a lot of other spas in Ajax that would welcome your business and will appreciate you. I guess this is what happens when the spa manager gets paid regardless of whether a client books an appointment or not or whether the customer is happy or not...she still gets paid. One of the reasons I book a spa package is to get that ZEN, but before i even set foot in this spa, Zen is gone and i was simply just stressed out because of what the spa manager made me experience. I was looking for a Spa in Ajax where i can come once a month and spend about $400 per session. The owner should be aware as to how the customers and potential customers are treated by the staff. The Spa Manager is rude and condescending and needs training in customer service. Not only did I find her rude, they are also way too busy for you... i understand that other spas can be busy as well but they make sure their being busy is not the client's problem and make it invisible to the clients. I took the time to detail out the questions I have and to detail out the services I want but when I was on the phone I was asked if I wanted a female RMT and if a Saturday appointment would do when it was clearly stated in my email that no weekend bookings and only a Female MRT for me. When explaining what I wanted over the phone, I was rudely cut off and accused of changing the services I want several times when I only made 1 change - to NOT use their package and instead simply do the services as is. Then she said they are too busy to reply so I will reply some other day but then I waited and waited and nothing How many times can the reception/manager make you feel that your business is unwanted? Perhaps they are already busy that they do not need my business or they get paid their hourly wage either way...happy customer or not. I am sure the spa manager will have a story to show she wasn't in the wrong, but none of her stories will bring me back. Also this review is not about right or wrong, it is about how i was treated as an unwanted customer and that they are way too busy for me and that they lack customer service. If you are looking for a spa in Ajax or in the Durham Area, do not book here. You can book elsewhere where you and your business will be greatly appreciated. Imagine, i haven't even stepped in the spa and already have this experience. I cringe at the thought of actually going there. Beware of the spa manager... Too bad i am forced to choose at least 1 star to post this review, I would have given ZERO if i could.

She lied to me and said both were trained for hot stone and rmt. The guy I had terry was not very good at all. I have had many hot stone therapy and this was one of the worst. I won't be back here. TORONTO HIGHLIGHT: THERMËA SPA VILLAGE ‍…read more Thermëa Spa Village was definitely one of my personal Toronto highlights! ‍ This was the perfect place to slow down, disconnect, and just enjoy the moment with my girl during my birthday trip. And listen... THE COLD PLUNGE! I'm not even going to lie, that water was COLD cold! But the experience was actually so refreshing. Going from the heat of the thermal baths and saunas straight into that freezing water was an experience all by itself! One of my favorite areas had to be the sauna meditation room. ‍ It was so peaceful and calming. Being able to sit quietly, breathe, relax, and let your mind just slow down was exactly the kind of reset I didn't know I needed. The whole spa was beautiful, peaceful, and luxurious, but what I loved most was that it wasn't just about being pampered--it really felt like an experience for your mind, body, and soul. The food was so refreshing and tasty. Between the cold plunge, the saunas, the meditation spaces, the thermal baths, and simply enjoying the day together, Thermëa was absolutely worth adding to our Toronto itinerary. 10/10 experience. Would absolutely go back! ‍ Relaxation: ELITE Cold Plunge: WHEW! ‍ Meditation Room: PEACEFUL Birthday Memories: PRICELESS

My partner and I have been wanting to come here for a while. We were super excited, and for the most part we had an excellent time. The facilities are well maintained. The activities and rituals are very nice. The unlimited towel and robe exchange is a very nice perk. The relaxation areas are very comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant service is excellent, the decor is lovely, and the food was tasty. We spent seven hours at the spa and tried every single offering. While yes, it can get busier at the midpoint of the day, the evenings are very quiet and you can enjoy many of the pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and cold plunges with little to no other people. We thought the staff were friendly and approachable, and the therapists very professional. We got the Kalla upgrade and it was very cool, a great experience with very thoughtful decor and an extremely interesting experience. This is actually what we came for, the saltwater float pool. It didn't disappoint and was definitely relaxing we spent almost an hour in the float and no regrets. The lockers and change area, while busy, are easy to navigate, and the showers were extremely clean. All in all, we had an excellent time, and this is a great day spa that really offers some peaceful, tranquil, and relaxing spaces. It's a very thoughtful and enjoyable spa. I would absolutely come again. My issue is what happened after. When I got home, I noticed my lower back was quite inflamed and hot. I didn't think much of it and figured it was my body detoxing and flushing out the not-so-good stuff. I had a mild fever, but again, with all the hot and cold transitions, that's normal. When I woke up the next morning, my lower back was itchy and red, some pimple-like nodes had shown up, and when I accidentally touched one, a bunch of greenish pus came out. It's since been inflamed, itchy, and sore to the touch. I have tried contacting the spa three times, and each time I'm told there is an hour-long wait to speak to someone. I just need to know what may have caused this. Since this is the spa I went to, I imagine they may have some idea of what this could be. I'm going to the walk-in clinic today, because I have never experienced this before. I go to a lot of spas, resorts, and hotels, and I'm a big pool and spa enthusiast. I have never had this happen. I don't care for how hard it's been to connect with someone, and that there isn't any information provided on any of this chain's sites that even addresses this. I went online and found out that this has happened before and does happen because of the Kalla. Again, that's not the issue - I'm not stupid and I know things happen at such busy spas. The issue is I can't find a single way to contact the spa and actually reach a human I can talk to about what this is and what I should do, I have called three times and it's an hour plus wait to speak to someone. That really isn't a great way to cap off such a good experience. I would say that if you have sensitive skin or concerns, you should ask the staff before or during your visit, so that if something does happen, you know what to do. These are communal baths and spas, and I think it would be helpful to have more "health and safety" information available on both their website and at the spa. I think finding out secondhand, from a variety of news articles, that you can get a staph infection from the Kalla is not very comforting. I'd have really appreciated more transparency and clear communication.
