I've been here 3 times, 2 wax appointments and 1 pedicure! Both wax experiences were great! Vanessa was really awesome and made me feel completely comfortable, which to me was very important with it being my first bikini wax ever. I would definitely recommend going here for all waxing needs! Today I came in for a pedicure as my toes and feet were in desperate need for some attention! Anna was really amazing. I told her my knees hurt me from time to time and she spent extra time on my knees during the massage portion of the pedicure! This place is amazing! I left happy and booked my next appointment before I left! :-) read more

Amazing facility. The staff courteous and professional. I was looking for a spa that had both massage and acupuncture and this spa exceeded my expectations. Both of my therapists were caring and great listeners to my bodily ailments. I left there feeling great. read more

Beautiful surroundings, convenient parking, cozy locker rooms, extensive drink service, elegant lounge area, CLEAN facilities. My mother-in-law and I went for a Couples Escapade: scalp massage, milk body wrap, Swedish massage, lounge time, and hamam. We were gently guided to and provided with secure lockers, a robe and slippers. A bit of friction occurred when one massage therapist came between me and my AM coffee. It ended up that my massage therapist graciously offered to fetch me a coffee. Let me tell you about my therapist, Bonnie. She has magic hands, she is a heavenly cup bearer of coffee like the Greek goddess Hebe. She loosened up my back tension like a champ, and when loosening some muscles put an ache in other muscles, she flipped me back over and worked them out in overtime. I tipped her lavishly because she went above and beyond for me, a fairly demanding client. Last words: the Hamam is lavish, and the showers are clean and large with very nice product for cleansing. I felt like the price was exactly right and the receptionists were great. read more

Brandi S. is my favorite, however the entire staff is exceptional. Prices are reasonable considering the spa is in the Domain. The place is always clean and peaceful. Highly recommend! read more

My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage here, and I was very very disappointed. First off, we paid over $300 for it so you think we would get a 5 star treatment. But this was far from it honestly. I have never wanted a massage to end sooner in my life. I paid extra for deep tissue, and it felt like a 8 year old was rubbing on my back the entire time with barely any pressure. I really needed the deep tissue for my muscle pain, which is why I called to confirm twice that I would receive a deep tissue massage. But instead they gave me someone who barely applied any pressure. I just felt like someone was rubbing oil over me the entire time, which anyone could have done. I could not relax the entire time because I was furious that I couldn't get the service I wanted and paid for, which was supposed to work out the tenseness in my neck and back. She didn't even rub my neck at all, either. Just lathered it with oil and did a bunch of nonsense to my arms and legs that was certainly far from even a firm amount of pressure. The facilities themselves are pretty nice (could use some cleaning in the bathroom with hair everywhere) and the sauna is cool, but I will not be coming back here because it seems as if they do not truly care about their clients needs, especially first timers even when they ask and pay extra for it. It's just rude and frustrating to take advantage of people like that and not deliver. read more

A massage is a rare indulgence for me and it's the worst when you have a disappointing experience since the whole point is you're paying to relax and feel rejuvenated. I heard of Spa Reveil through Travelzoo and had purchased a 75 minute Swedish massage/hot stone combo. I can't really comment on their other services but the ladies I chatted while waiting with were happy with their massages too. Making the appointment was easy, I like the fact that the gratuity is included and charged on your card so there is no awkwardness about passing your masseuse cash at the end of the session. The facility itself is tasteful and nicely organized. The waiting area has a choice of lounge or club chairs, water, tea, coffee, etc. The locker areas have steam rooms which I took advantage of before and after the massage. The massage itself was relaxing, thorough, and for whatever reason it felt like it lasted forever. I felt pretty blissed out by the end. Nice experience. read more

I absolutely love going to Spa Reveil! I'm at the domain frequently so it is very convenient for me to come here. The reserved parking spots in front are also really convenient. What I really love about this spa is that I feel so comfortable and welcomed everytime I go in. The front desk staff is so pleasant and I don't feel a sense of "uppityness" from them. I started coming here for lip waxes only, then had my first pedicure recently. They use a French blue wax that is really gentle on my skin. It doesn't leave your skin looking red and irritated so you can walk out and go shopping without worrying about looking like you've just had a lip wax! I've gone through 3 aestheticians by now. They must have a high turn over rate... They've all done a great job with waxing though. I really have to rave about Anna, the nail tech. She gave me the best pedicure I've had from any other spa. She is so personanable and fun to talk to. I lie that they use disposable files and buffers. I saw her sanitize the tools right in front of me so I knew I was getting a safe and clean pedicure. This is very important to me. I am looking forward to my next pedicure with Anna and would highly recommend you see her too! read more

I went with two colleagues on a Thursday afternoon. The place was very quiet and relaxing considering it's in a busy spot in the domain. They didn't seem very busy which probably helped. We had the hydrotherapy, body wrap and massage. It was really great. I wasn't sure about the hydrotherapy, but it was relaxing. I picked the relaxing setting, which was super intense. I'm glad I didn't pick the more intense setting. Also your hair does get wet. Even with the shower cap it was unavoidable. Next time I'll bring my hair care products. The body wrap was nice and the massage was very gentle. I would come here again. They had a small lounge with tea where you could sit after. read more

Spa Reveil - Spa main entrance - Day Spas Near Me - Austin, Texas

This spa is absolutely amazing! I came here for a bachelorette party with several girls and was so surprised at how kind and accommodating the staff was! All of the girls were bragging all day about how amazing all of our services were! Facials... Fantastic! The estheticians are so knowledgable! Massages were so great and relaxing! 80 min massage is a must!! I will continue to come back to this spa every time I am in Austin!! read more

Beautiful spa, and very nice knowledgeable staff

I was recently gifted with a prenatal massage here, and it was the best surprise! I've been hesitant about continuing massage since my pregnancy, and I was made to feel completely comfortable. Amber was my therapist, and she was great. She had a nice sense of humor, respected my preference for minimal talking during my session, and she checked in on my comfort and pressure preference throughout my massage. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The ambience of the spa is great, the staff is friendly, and I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family. If you want a great massage, especially if you're pregnant, request Amber. You won't regret it. :) read more

Staff at the spa were incredibly kind and calm. I booked a couples Egyptian Spa package, and it was amazing. That was a first-time spa for my husband and I, and we loved it. My husband has been having shoulder pain for the past couple weeks, and he mentioned it when we were asked if there were any focus areas. He felt so much better afterwards. From the locker rooms to the relaxing lounge area, everything was so calm and clean. Thank you!! read more

I almost feel bad leaving this review because I have had some great massages at Spa Reveil....but this is not about a massage. I received a gift certificate for Mothers Day and decided to try the lash extensions, since I was about to go on vacation. I don't think the lady who does extensions is skilled at all. The lashes are super thin, and wispy, there are a few glue clumps, and there was literally a lash glued to the side of my face. The worst part was that when she was finished, my eyes were glued together and at one point she got out tiny scissors to try and get them open. I've never had a lash tech do that, ever. Needless to say, I am super disappointed in this service and that I wasted my very sweet gift on it. It was a giant waste. read more

Two years later, and this is still my go-to place. Maybe they've hired better therapists or just offered new training. Because I melt every time I'm here. I've recently had to switch it up to prenatal massages, and they're just as wonderful and relaxing as the signature massages. These ladies are saviors. read more

A great place to relax and treat yourself to some pampering! Susana has been my go-to gal for pedicures over the last five years, she is so sweet and personable, and I recently received wonderful body scrub and massage treatments from Carissa. I love that you can hang out as long as you like: using the steam room, drinking tea, or enjoying a book in the relaxation space. I do wish they offered snacks (gluten free options would be amazing!) during the week (snacks only put out on the weekends), but I was informed that if you ask the staff, they can provide something. The weekends get busy so if you want the place to yourself book early morning on a week day! read more

Worse spa place! First, I booked this place for a couples massage and my husband and I got placed in 2 separate rooms. As I was getting my massage there was construction going on. Sounded like they were banging on the door, I could here the saw being used. Lydia, my massage therapist had to leave the room to tell the front office how noisy it was. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My friend and I visited Spa Reveil for the first time and our experience was AMAZING!!!! The staff was extremely nice and answered any questions we had. I booked a 90 minute Couple's Escapade to take my boyfriend to for his birthday. I chose Spa Reveil over other nearby spas because of its many awards and also the fact that they were still allowing couples massages despite the pandemic, as other spas were not. I read the COVID disclaimer on their website and did not see anything that indicated any limited services. However, although the package description included beverage service and use of the hammam, we only found out those services were discontinued due to COVID when we asked about it after the massage was over and it was time to pay. They substituted the beverage service by giving us each an 8 ounce bottle of water. I don't know on what planet this is an adequate substitute. At least offer a can of soda or bottled juice or tea if you can only offer bottled drinks. I understand some things must be limited due to COVID, but this was not made known to us ahead of time. Not when I booked the appointment, not when I called to provide my credit card info, nor when they called to confirm the appointment. The only consolation is we were given a 10% discount off the total price, which is reasonable, but this was only given because we asked. I feel it should not have required us to call attention to it. If your services are limited, your prices should not remain the same. How many other people are receiving limited services and paying the full price because they didn't say anything? I wish my complaints ended here. While this was a couple's massage and we were in the same room, it was like we were on different planets. My masseuse was friendly and talked to me, guiding me through the process and I felt great throughout. My boyfriend's masseuse was silent and unfriendly, moving him around without any verbal cues, and he was in pain for many parts. He himself is a trained masseuse and so he knows what proper technique is, and he said his scalp massage was painful, as was most of the body massage. The hot towels they used also were too hot and he felt like they almost burned him. He has a high pain tolerance so this is all concerning to hear from him. His massage also seemed to be rushed, as he was finished nearly 15 minutes ahead of me. This especially is perplexing since I am much smaller than him, and so if anyone's massage might be quicker it should be mine. Since it was his birthday we were celebrating, I wish I could have given him the better masseuse. However I don't think anyone should have a significantly different experience as all of the masseuses should be trained well and vetted properly when hired. I realize each employee might have different approaches but they should all be able to make the client feel good. All in all, I gave 2 stars only because my experience was good for the services I did receive. My boyfriend would have given 0 stars if it was just him. read more

I purchased a gift card for my spouse in December 2019 from Spa Reveil. Unfortunately, my Wife passed away from Covid-19 and never used the gift card. As I have been going through her personal belongings I came across the unused gift card and formally requested a refund for the unused gift card because of her death. Their response was to give the gift card to someone else. They have refused a refund. I hope future customers of Spa Reveil will think about a company that is unwilling to take into consideration the death caused by Covid-19 for a gift card. Spa Reveil is not out any cost associated with the refund as they have not provided any service or product. read more

It is really nice inside and the staff is very nice as well... I came here for a facial. When I first went in they gave me a form to fill out and afterward they bring me to an area where I can put my belongings into a locker and gave me a robe to change, just like most spas... Then I was led to a room and I explained my concerns and what I wanted from the facial. It felt nice there with the relaxing music and the massages felt nice although I kept wanting to laugh cause I'm very ticklish. However, I felt very disappointed with the facial itself. I felt pampered but I didn't get the deep cleaning and declogging of the pores that I expected. It was more massaging and masks after masks. She only spent a little time on getting rid of my blackheads. Overall I'm not completely satisfied. But I appreciated how they didn't try to sell you products afterwards. I hated places that does that. read more

Carissa is a great masseuse! I highly recommend doing a 90 min deep tissue with her.

I have gone to Spa Reveil for years. Literally since they opened. I think the massages that Melissa gives are top notch, but I'm not happy right now with Spa Reveil. I figured I would warn yelpers about their not so great gift card policy! Don't buy gift cards from them. I was going through my "junk drawer" at home yesterday and I found an old gift card from Spa Reveil that my husband bought me. It was pretty old - from 2010. I called the Spa to find out if there was money left on the card and their was -$200. They told me that it was expired. I told them that in 2010 I was pregnant and had been told by their staff that the spa did not offer prenatal massage so i couldn't use the gift card until after the baby was born. Well, after the baby arrived i completely forgot about the gift card. I mean come on - thats a really good reason to forget about things! My husband buys me a gift card from Spa Reveil every christmas. Plus I also go there occasionally and pay myself. So i am a recurring long term customer. The receptionist was nice and said that she would talk to the manager and owner of the spa about reinstating that $200 from 2010. She called me back today and told me that they will allow me to use $100 out of the expired $200 gift card. I said so you are KEEPING THE OTHER $100. They said YES!!! I told them that I will ask my husband to NEVER buy me a gift card there again, since they have bad gift card practices. They are KEEPING $100 of my money and not giving me a service for it. Their stated reason is "tax discrepancy". Really?? They are willing to lose a long term customer who has been with the spa since they opened over $100 and a "tax discrepancy". I understand that businesses allow gift cards to expire, but i figured since i was a long term customer that had been told by them that i couldn't use the card originally (due to my pregnancy) that they would honor it. I mean they took the money, I was supposed to receive a service for it, so give me my service. But alas, they don't see it that way. read more

I went here with my sister to get a pedicure. In the middle of my pedicure she asked if I would like to get my nails filed while my feet soaked. I said sure. I thought it was very nice of her to do this for me. Then she continues to do sort of a mini manicure and paints my nails. She told me I needed to come back in 4 weeks b/c she said I had a nail fungus (which I went somewhere else and they said that I did not). I go to the front and find out that I got charged for a manicure! I paid over $100 for these services which I find ridiculous especially when I walked in with a pedicure appointment only. I spoke with someone there over the computer and they were going to give me 10% off any service that I would like to have for the next time. What's 10% of zero? Because I will not be going back. All I wanted was my money back. read more

when people daydream about winning the lottery, they may dream of having a full time maid, or a chef, or a chauffeur. not me. i'll keep cleaning, i'll keep cooking, i'll keep driving. because when i daydream about having limitless expendable income, i fantasize about having my very own masseuse. I love a good massage. when they're good, they're so very good. I love getting into the zone - that blissful place between being asleep and awake, when you are ultimately, completely, effortlessly relaxed and your muscles and your mind both just surrender. give me that, and i'll gladly take care of the rest myself. I've been to spa reveil twice now for massages and have to say - when it comes time to fulfill my daydream, I will likely go poach someone from spa reveil. both of my masseuses were well skilled in the art of making me go "mmmmmmmmmmmm". yesterday's massage was with Carissa, who asked all the right questions beforehand and then delivered me into the zone, exactly as requested. bust my knots and i'll follow you anywhere. it was worth every penny (and services at spa reveil take lots of pennies). at my same visit yesterday, I was also treated to a luxurious spa pedicure. once we adjusted the water temperature (which was akin to a bubbling cauldron, initially), the pedicure was well done. my tootsies were soaked and stroked and tubbed and rubbed. very enjoyable. if I were reviewing Carissa alone, this would easily be a 5-star review. my one hesitation - and the reason for not giving 5 stars is that the polish application for my pedi was ...what's the right word here...sloppy. now, I am one who is a big pedi aficionado and i know that the polish application is just the icing on a big, deep delicious cake. however, it's the most visual result of a pedi and therefore accuracy and perfection are bold indicators of a quality job. I was not impressed to see polish where it did not belong. I have way better, more accurate, professional application done by my usual folks at the local nail salon where I pay a fraction of what we paid to spa reveil (like as in less than 50% of what spa reveil charges). so go - go for the massages, get into the zone with one of their skilled masseuses - but I would probably not blow the big bucks on a pedicure there again. read more

I've been a client of Spa Reveil for over a year now and have truly had some of the worst service in a SPA of my life. Why did you continue to go? Well I lived right across the street and had been pregnant and then a new mother in that time and convenience out weighed my need for good service plus as a resident at the Domain we get a 15% discount. I started going to them for wax's. I have a specific request to use hard wax which they have although it seemed that I had to specify that thats what I wanted when booking every appt, I also had to constantly remind them I was a Domain Resident at checkout as well. I'll just list my experiences as there are so many. After my first wax there was so much wax behind it was comical. My tech said to me since I was not working I could just take a shower after and clean up! Did she think a pregnant woman was going to take a shower hot enough to melt wax from her body? I forgot to specify that I preferred hard wax the tech didn't know how to use the hard wax so I had to get dressed and book another appointment. Came in at about 8 months pregnant and the tech wasn't notified that I was preggers and she freaked out and said she couldn't help me. Came in for a massage after baby and the masseur talked the ENTIRE time. I think since she was a mom and I had just had a baby she felt she needed to tell me every single detail about her son for an entire 60 very expensive and not so relaxing minutes. The last and final straw. For Valentines day my husband went and got me a gift card so I booked a wax, facial and massage. Unfortunately my son passed on his cold to me and by the time my appointments arrived I was a sniffling, sneezing, coughing mess. I called to rearrange my appointments they were very accommodating and let me reschedule my facial on short notice to Tuesday. Monday comes and I'm still feeling like crap I'm coughing so hard my throat is raw. So I figure I'm in no shape to be laying on my back while I'm coughing so violently I have actually almost brought myself to being sick. I call the SPA and cancel. Alls fine until about two hours later when I get a call from the SPA at 6:30pm. The receptionist proceeds to tell me that I can't cancel my apt since it was previously moved from another date and I either have to reschedule or lose my money. Umm WHAT? Did you seriously just call me and tell me your policy that A. was not explained when I moved the appointment in the first place and B. Not even offer a reasonable solution for me not to lose money! Okay but I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow for 3 weeks. EXACT WORDS sorry its our policy that the apt must be within 2 weeks so your just going to have to pay. Of course at this point my blood is boiling and ask to speak to a manager. She says she has stepped away from her desk and will call me back. I dont hear back from her and forget about until the next day but think it must have been taken care of why else would they just let my apt time go by w/o notice? At 4:30pm my appointment was at 10am I receive a call from the "manager" Terri. She proceeds to tell me that she can't do anything for me except be charged $30 from my gift card for the appointment I missed. I proceed to explain to her through my raspy no longer there voice and even start chocking while talking to her that there was no way I would have been able to get to today appointment and she says I'm sorry but I won't tolerate you arguing with me about this this is what I'm willing to do and I don't appreciate you yelling at me..HUH I can barely speak let alone yell? I continue to try and rationalize with her on how I couldn't move the apt and that if she had contacted me last night we could possibly have come to some arrangement but seeing as she is calling me 6 hours after the actual appointment was to take place its a bit late for that. Terri's response, "I'm not going to discuss the time I'm calling you so don't even bother" Does anybody else see the irony in her calling 6 hrs after the appt was meant to take place? Or that fact that she was actually stealing from me? So as I'm again trying to get it through to her the phone goes dead she hangs up! I have never experienced such total and complete disregard for customer service in my life! I actually called back and said to them keep my money I'll never come back to your SPA again and she says "OH WELL". Seriously? I will say if you must go there be sure to ask for Vanessa she is IMO the only good thing about this spa and the only reason I continued to go. read more

Update - Babette the manager of Spa Reveille spoke to me after my facial. Babette has been the manager for about 3 months and she seems very intent on ensuring that the spa focuses more on customer service. She was extremely nice and apologized about the way the receptionist handled my call. The facial I had with Connie was amazing. I was lying there thinking how sad I was that I wouldn't be able to come back for another facial with her because I was so annoyed with the spa. Babette explained that she is making changes with the front desk and asked for ideas on ways things could be better. I am surprised and happy that she took the time to speak with me and also remembered my son's name because he occasionally has facials for his teenage skin. She offered to make the issue right if I would give them another chance. I am going to schedule another appt. for the end of Jan. and give them another chance. I also urge anyone who had a bad experience before Babette was manager to try Spa Reveille again. This spa is mediocre. While you are waiting for your service, you have to sit in a pretty small room, very close to others waiting for their services. I have had facials and a massage here. This spa isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either. The prices are as almost as high as some of the more luxurious spas in Austin - Lake Austin Spa and Travaasa. What I don't like is that they really push their products on you after the service and have a cancellation policy that shows their main focus is money. When making an appointment, make sure you cancel before 24 hours or you will be charged, even if the highways ice over, you get sick, or have a death in the family. I know this because I called to express concern about the weather and they told me I would be charged, even if the roads were icy. When I asked what would happen if the aesthetician couldn't make it to work, the receptionist said - then we won't charge you-. I asked about illness and death and was told that it was still their policy. I was more than willing to reschedule, but was told they were going to charge me and then when I came in, I wouldn't have to pay. So why don't they just pre- charge everyone for their services? I understand why they do it, but the spa isn't nice enough to warrant this kind of policy. I have had just as great services at Woodhouse, Aziz and Renew Spa in Georgetown. With so much competition, Spa Reveille should consider taking their client's situations case by case, rather than generalizing them all. I have been a steady client of this spa, but felt I was treated rudely the minute they thought they wouldn't get any money from me. They did get one more facial from me because I drove from the hill country in freezing weather to get it, but they won't get another one. I will simply go to other day spas who don't have this policy and talk to me like I am a valued client instead of a service charge. read more
