Came to the spa for a pedicure. Toi was the lady that did it. She was not friendly at all. I paid for the 25 min pedicure which took her 15 mins to polish my toes. Overall I loves the hair style I received and the stylist was great! However, I was misinformed when I called 2 different times that it will be $45+, updos are $75. I get there & was told it will be an updo price even if its not going to be up. I was told since I wanted a specific type of style. Plus the stylist said she only have less than an hour to do my hair, I fet rushed.. But she ended up spending 1 hr and 15 mins on my hair which is fine by me. I got snacks & water. I went in for the Sunday morning boot camp class at the spa and I was the only one who showed up. This is a bit intimidating for an overweight woman who is newly into fitness. Mimi was the instructor and I told her that if I was the only one there, we did not have to have the class. Her immediate and cheerful response was "if you are the only one here we are definitely having class!!" Mimi took a few minutes to get to know me and when I told her I was working on a 150 mile hike in September Mimi asked if I wanted to go for a hike for the boot camp class! I immediately said of course, and we went for a delightful, yet intense hike around Pechanga. I have never met someone like Mimi. She is truly interested in her clients, has helpful and encouraging words and is the reason that I will be back to Pechanga soon. Mimi thinks outside the box and works hard for each client. Both my boyfriend and I had massages at this spa on 11/25/18. We were not hotel guests. We were both thrilled about how nice the spa was and loved our practitioners. One of the better deep tissues massages I have ever had by Alicia. She listened to what I needed and did a great job! The check in personnel were nice and the spa attendants were also eager to help. Its been open for less than a year and the women's and men's locker rooms are separate but there is a sitting room, deck and outdoor pool area (magnificent view) which is co-ed. The facility is elegant and classy. A couple of suggestions: hairspray, disposable toothbrushes and perhaps another area to do hair and makeup. The women's side is very spacious but the designated area to primp is quite small. When I was there there were 5 of us getting ready and it was cramped. Both my boyfriend and I agreed we will be back. It is a 45 minute drive from North County San Diego and we felt like we had a mini vacation. read more

IF you do get to go and get your service done, this is a 4*. why 2 stars? well, we got late cancelled twice (yes, TWICE) for my wife's pedicure. 2 separate discrete times. except we didn't know about the cancellation til she got there. since she's pregnant, she couldn't really get any other treatment. what a bust! i still got my massage while she waited though, and i have no complaints to the quality of the massage. read more

Went in for a simple manicure with gel. Informed them that I was using a gift card for services but they still requested to put a hold on my credit card that I had been asked to provide in order to schedule appointment. I was qouted $50 for manicure and $20 upcharge for gel. At checkout I was charged $60 for manicure instead of $50. I didn't question it at the time and proceeded to remind receptionist that I was paying with a gift card which I presented to her. Two days later a charge for $90 came in from Pechanga for the Spa manicure. After a few phone calls and messages I was contacted by a Spa Manager about the charge to my CC. After looking into it she discovered that they had never charged the gift card for the services and had indeed overcharged me for the simple manicure that I requested. Card has been refunded on their end but still awaiting for confirmation for that on my end. As far as quality of the service rendered, I would rate it as a 1. It has been less than a week and two of my gel nails have peeled off completely. I have had better gel nails done in Europe and on Cruise ships than this thst have lasted 3-4 weeks. Another concern is that I never saw the manicurists proof of licensure and know that they are required to have it displayed at their stations. My overall rating is a 3 because the Supervisors/Managers went above and beyond to make up for the horrible service and mixup with payment. I would however probably not recommend this spa for any nail services. read more

The massage service was great. Came early because I thought I could use the amenities (gym/pool). Unfortunately, you're not allowed to unless you are a hotel guest. That would have been nice to know. The new renovated spa is hands down the most beautiful spa I have been too. Always have a great experience here. The girls at the front are always welcoming and have a smile on their face and assist when having any issues. Great therapist been coming here for years and now I'm pregnant and I get the mother to be massage and I'm always feeling relaxed. Mimi is so kind made me feel very welcomed by chocolate strawberries ! Would recommend for a getaway to relax! read more

Checked out the spa today and booked a 50 minute massage. Staying at the RV park and it is very easy to get a shuttle ride over to the Casino. The Spa staff was very nice and I checked in an hour early expecting to be able to relax in the steam/sauna rooms or take a swim. The pool happens to be located on the same floor as the Spa but not inside the area so I was unable to use it. There was no sauna and the steam room was not working so I was dissapointed. The staff was able to move my appointment up early so I didn't have to sit around and wait. Chrissy did my massage and she was really good, I would ask for her again if I visit. I thought the price was a little high since there was no pool or steam room available to relax prior to your appointment. The robes and shoes were comfy and the bathroom area had all of the ammenities needed. read more

What my wife and I expected to be a nice relaxing spa day, ended up becoming a large dent in our wallets for the weekend. The facilities aren't bad, however I do question why there are so little amenities in the already small quite area. The massage was nice, the choice of champagne and truffles were great as well, the additional time in the tub and allowance for the shower were all found to be a pleasant experience. HOWEVER, when being told that your spa day would be one price, and then ending up with a larger bill was not what we had planned. We had booked a couples massage that we were told would be for $125, with an additional $45 if we'd like time in the jacuzzi and to use the shower. Sounds great doesn't it? Yes, we thought so too, until we got handed a bill for almost $300?! When we asked the attendant why we were being billed so much, she smartassly answered that it was "because we booked you in the suite". We didn't ask for the suite, had we been properly informed that they do couples massages in the suite/only in the suite/or that it would have been in the suite, we would have never come to this spa in the first place. False advertising we were told wasn't their problem and there was nothing the attendant could do about it. CHECK THE PRICING AND YOUR BILL LADIES AND GENTS, you're better off at any other place not at this casino. read more

I had the most amazing experience here. I had been suffering from severe back and neck pain for 3 months. My boyfriend decided to treat me to a massage as part of a weekend getaway treat. My therapist was Leanna. I wish I could give this woman her own personal rating. She was honest and thorough. She knew exactly how to treat my problem areas. Massage was good. Main complaint is they give you slippers to wear which are extremely slippery. I have been here several times (I always forget to bring my own shoes) and each time I have slipped on the floor due to the lack of traction on slippers. I have mentioned it but no change. The beautiful new Pechanga Spa IS as good as it gets! I was there with some friends for a "spa afternoon" and it was perfection! The newly renovated facility is immaculate, thoughtful in it's amenities and serenely chic in its decor. I particularly appreciated the honoring of Native traditions and culture in elements of the decor and the treatments. I had a facial from Yesica that was just wonderful! She was attentive to my skin's particular needs and was very proficient in addressing them. It makes me want to try ALL the facials...and I just might! After the treatment, I retreated to the Women's Lounge and the dim lighting, music and comfy couches were the perfect "next thing". What a lovely room! Even though the new Spa has been open only a few months, it is apparent that it is extremely well managed; the staff has purpose and confidence and I felt that I was in really good hands...literally! I"m already planning a return trip and look forward to working my way through the Spa menu! Awesome experience!!!! read more

I'm only giving 2 stars because their Fitness Center is open 24/7, but there's no restrooms available nearby. It's part of their Spa, but if you work out after the Spa is closed, there's no bathroom available to you. You have to walk all the way back to your room to use the toilet. I called the PBX operator on the house phone near the elevators on my floor last night & she confirmed this. This is an issue for me because I have a bladder disease called Interstitial Cystitis (IC). It also goes by PBD, or Painful Bladder Disease, and I need to know where a bathroom is at all times. The fitness center is nice, but last night (8/9/17) I got whiffs of something that smelled exactly like Raid bug spray. I sincerely hope that the Tribe hired an architect firm that has enough common sense to design a fitness center with restrooms that are part of it for their new expansion/tower. Morongo's fitness center has a bathroom located directly inside their Fitness Center, so that restroom never closes. Last night was my first time using Pechanga's Fitness Center. I'm in my mid 30's and relatively healthy. Doctors/scientists don't know what causes IC, & there's currently no cure. It's a chronic, painful medical condition in which sudden urinary frequency is a common symptom. We stayed in room 3171, which is literally the last room on the 3rd floor, the furthest away from the fitness center, which is an inconvenience for someone like me to have to walk all the way back to my room just to pee because of my medical condition because there's no other restroom available. read more

I could not believe that she said that there was no manicurist today. WTF. So I said ok I will get it done in the morning. She said no, she will not be there until the next day. I could not believe what I was hearing. She advised to drive down the street and get it done at nail shop. Complained to a supervisor who did nothing about it. I did not even bother to get a massage. My BFF and i popped in for a pedicure while our husbands gambled at the casino. They were able to accommodate us an hour later for back to back express pedicures. For $35, we basically got a nail polish change, and a sloppy paint job at that (which is normally $10 at my spa). Helen was our technician and proceeded to interject her opinions and life experiences into our conversation when it was clear it was our only girl time together when we live halfway across the country from each other. So annoying! The facility was fine but not the value you would expect from a "spa" and the technician was horrible and unprofessional. read more

I come to Pechenga every week. We are club members and overall have a great experience at pechenga, with the big exception of their Spa. The Spa receptionists have very very poor customer service! I wish I read the negative reviews before coming here. I will never come here again. I am very surprised at how extremely rude and unprofessional the staff is. I have NEVER felt so unwelcome at a spa before! I visited the spa on 7/2/16. I initially called to schedule my appointment and spoke with Crystal. She informed me about their 4 hour cancellation policy and to hold my appointment I scheduled my massage. I called back a few minutes later and spoke to another receptionist (I do not remember her name). I asked questions about their services but I did NOT book an additional service. I came to my appointment promptly at my appointment time. There was another lady in checking out in front of me and I had to wait for a few minutes for her to finish checking out before the receptionist could check me in. (Later the same receptionist told me I was late to my appointment which was clearly not true.) I had a $200 players comp to use at the spa and since my service only cost $150, this same receptionist offered me to get something from the gift shop of $50 value. I told her I would do that after my massage. My massage was actually great. My masseuse Cassondra was excellent. She gave me a terrific massage with outstanding bedside manner. I even told her I wanted to come get a massage from her every week that I come to Pechenga. When I finished my massage and went outside to check out, there were now 4 receptionists at the front desk. Crystal who I originally spoke with, the receptionist who checked me in and told me I have a $50 credit and 2 other receptionists. To my surprise the receptionist who checked me in and told me I have a $50 credit was now informing me that I owe $60 because I had another service booked after my massage which I did not get?!? But she JUST told me before my massage that I had a $50 credit! I began to question her regarding this, I did not complain or get upset because really $60 is not worth getting all worked up over after getting a relaxing massage. However the way she proceeded to speak to me is absolutely unacceptable. She was so rude and unprofessional. I felt teamed up by having 4 receptionists in front of me telling me how I was wrong in a very condescending tone. She even told me I was late to my appointment which I was not. I asked her to call her supervisor hoping to get some help. She called the supervisor in front of me and she did not care to hear about the situation at all and said I owe $60. That is what prompted me to write this review because I would expect at least the supervisor to try to help resolve the situation. I called my club member host who immediately credited the $60 to the spa, however that does not change the fact that I went there for a relaxing massage and left extremely upset and tense. Very disappointing Pechenga! I expect way better. PLEASE teach you spa staff how to speak to customers and learn how to be professional! We have just paid $230 for a couples massage that never happened. Why? Because the staff at the hotel and spa don't take "no" for an answer. When I called to cancel my reservation over 12 hours before the appt. (they have a 4 hour notice cancellation policy), the hotel sent a message to the spa stating that I wanted to reschedule instead. After being on the phone with a manager for over 30 minutes and speaking to about 4 different people about the situation, they would rather believe their employees over the customer. I cannot give this a good rating because they did not accomodate us on the day of our reservation. I called two days ahead to make reservations for two and had to repeat my request about 5 times before the girl got it right. We were given appointment of 11 am and when we arrived they still had the reservations mixed up we were told there was nothing they could do to correct it. We asked for the manager and the girl again told us there was nothing she could do. So, in the end we did not have our manicure, pedicure and massage......Very disappointing. read more

She.Is.Absolutely.Awesome! 5-star service with a smile and authenticity. Mimi graces Spa Pechanga with a yoga class and boot camp class. Whatever your level, you will be accommodated. I've taking both classes and she listens to YOU after she asks her thoughtful questions; "Something YOU want to work on? Any concerns I need to know about YOU before we start?" She will ask if you mind if she does any adjustment before laying a single finger on you. We should have known from all the smiles of the people leaving her earlier class. Speaking of which that's the only drawback, classes are early and only on weekends. However, they are FREE! That's right, no extra charge for hotel and spa guests. Complimentary and fabulous. Not to mention the ambiance of the gorgeous new spa there. Another top of of the line referral: Kristen. Very kind and knowledgeable masseuse. I've had friends comment that the front desk staff can be a hit or miss but I think they are working out the kinks and my most recent experiences have been above par.
