I go here regularly for pedicures and no-chip manicures. For the sake of full disclosure, I have not had waxing services here. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are very professional and d oa great job. They even have current movies playing (muted, with subtitles to keep the soothing spa feeling). They are on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for, I suppose. They offer weekday deals that help with the pricing. I brought my bridal party here the day before my wedding and they were great, and fully staffed to accommodate my large party. read more

Incredibly rude receptionist. I'll never know how nice their services are because I got so much flack asking if they accepted walk ins.

I can't say enough about spa o (spa dabin) in Logan square! I see Brian and Kathy on a regular basis and they're always so friendly and thorough. They even took amazing care of my ultra swollen feet and ankles while pregnant without complaint. If I ever move out of the hood, I will certainly struggle to find service that's close to comparable. Awesome job guys! read more

I used to come here all the time, but it has been a bit since the last time. It seems like things have changed. This time, the pedicure lasted less than 20 minutes, with little to no fluff. 15 second leg rub, very little grooming done (please help me with my hangnails!!) and the exfoliating scrub was over before I had a chance to exhale. I mentioned my changed experience to the woman running the front desk when I was checking out, but she definitely couldn't care less. In a city of nail salon options, I likely won't come back and pay $30 for a sub-par experience. Bummer. read more

I had a great experience at Spa O! The decor is fun and stylish, the employees were very pleasant and welcoming. I love Logan Square and since moving here I have usually headed to another neighborhood for the occasional mani or pedi, but I will definitely head back to Spa O in the future! read more

I love this salon for 2 reasons. 1. My $15 regular manicure here lasts longer than any other place I have ever gotten my nails done. They do a beautiful job with the polish and it is always super professional looking. Sometimes I stop in a few days later to fix a single nail that has chipped, and they are always happy to help me for free. 2. They play movies on silent with closed captioning on, which is pretty much the greatest idea ever. There are 2 flat screen tvs where you can watch the movie, without the disruptive noise. Keeps the spa environment spa-like, and also gives you a way to totally zone out. read more

First time I went for a mani/ pedi it was phenomenal, this time it was terrible! Definitely not accommodating and even though they did an incredibly shitty job on my nails, they didn't even offer anything like a coupon, for example for me to even come back. Just an "oh sorry. We'll make sure you don't have them do your nails next time." Oh, and apparently a "soft square" is making your nails look round to some people. Yikes! Now I get to go home and re-do my nails for free. Just would be nice to have people that actually know how to work in a service job. read more

Stopped in here for an impromptu pedi and I have to say it's really cute! They have decorated it so well that if feels very relaxing and fun. It's charming! The girl who my pedi did a lovely Job. I really liked it. They don't accept tips on a credit card but since I didn't have any cash they made an exception which I thought was accommodating of them. I'll be back! read more

My new go-to nail spot in the neighborhood - hooray! If you've lived in Logan Square for a few years, you know this is a very welcome addition. It's clean, cozy and nice. The girls are sweet and I can get an appt with ease. I think they have a good selection of colors. It's a few more dollars than the cheap places, but they do a better job on your nails and give a little shoulder massage to boot. Totally worth it to me. read more

My friend and I got mani/pedis here saturday afternoon. It was both of our first times there. They did our hands first since it was a busy Saturday and by the time our hands were done, there was room for us to sit next to each other for pedicures. Things I liked: The receptionist was really friendly and nice. They had an impressive selection of colors to choose from. We were 15 mins late but they didn't give us a hard time or try to rush us. They had tvs showing Tower Heist with subtitles on and the volume muted so they could play music. After Tower Heist ended, In Time started. I like the way the place was decorated. The seats were comfortable (both for mani and pedi). The women doing our nails were nice and attentive. They didn't talk to us much since we were mostly talking to each other but I appreciated that they were loudly gossiping with each other in Vietnamese the entire time like at some nail places. They had some magazines that I would have looked at if I hadn't been talking to my friend and they hadn't done our hands first. I was impressed by the selection of nail polish colors. something really unique and awesome was that they gave us a short shoulder massage midway through the manicure. It wasn't super long and fancy but I didn't know to expect it, I haven't seen that done at other nail places, and I LOVE shoulder massages. Things i didn't like as much: I would have liked for them to offer us water or tea or something since most other places I've been recently have done that, but maybe that's a California thing since most of my recent nail spa experiences have been in the San Francisco area. It also seemed weird to me that they didn't have massage chairs for pedicures, but again, not necessarily bad but maybe a general difference between regions. Both my nails and my friend's turned out really well, and a day later, they look almost (maybe 95%) perfect. If I look really closely I can see tiny air bubbles in some, but I have to look really closely. It cost $40 for each mani/pedi plus gratuity, and they only do gratuity in cash so do t forget to bring some cash with you! My frien didn't have any cash so they let her tip on the card since it was her first time there, but they even have a sign saying cash gratuity only. read more

BYOB plus a comfortable and clean spa, really what more can you ask for? Everyone who has done my nails there has been lovely. I admit I have shut the place down with girlfriends a few times and the staff has been so kind. They have touched me up a few times if I bumped a nail. They have even helped me carry things. Just genuinely a nice crowd. The clients who come in are quiet and nice. It's a small space and could easily get loud but everyone is just so happy to have a little "me" time that it's a great experience. I highly suggest you stop in but be sure to make an appointment first. read more

I have always liked this place but it REALLY depends on who you get. There are two newish guys who are still figuring out how to do manicures and pedicures and I understand that, but the quality of service with some of the newer employees is far inferior to what I hope to get when i pay for a specialty service. I always feel bad when i get assigned to one of the new nail techs cause i never know what I am going to get and there is nothing one can do. I only hate to pay for service that may or may not turn out well. read more

yes! yes, this place is the best. to start, i hate going to asia nails and those sorts of places, because i feel like paying to be pampered should be in a relaxing environment. check! next, a manicure shouldn't cost 25+ dollars. check! now.. they also give you a short shoulder massage as well as a massage from your elbows to the tip of your fingers. that adds such a wonderful touch, and was very unexpected. they also have you soak your nails in either a lemon (to relax) solution or.. or.. i don't remember, but something to help moisturize, rather than some funky chemistry experiment. i realy just loved this place and i can't wait to go back! i went in the middle of the week and had no difficulty getting in. it's probably a good idea to make an appointment in the afternoon or weekends, though. also, A GOOD FACT TO KNOW!, you can't put tip on your credit card, so be sure to bring some cash. read more

So glad to see new commercial enterprises pop up in Loan Square. The spa is nicely decorated, reasonably priced, and the service is great. Love the chair massage! Hoping more nice places will pop up in Logan so we can continue the gentrification process! read more

It's fine-- the remodel has made it look really nice inside, and it is a very clean salon with decent service. The last time I had no-chip done the woman didn't really check to make sure things were drying evenly and I wound up with kind of a lumpy area with too much polish on one portion of my ring finger nail. Still, I did think they did a good job with the skin around the nails and the selection of polishes was quite nice. read more

Lovely place! Chairs are a bit hard to get into but the service was great. Pedi looked great and lots of colors to choose from.

I went with a friend for no chips and pedicures. We brought wine as well because it was a Friday night. The man working scolded us multiple times for "taking too long to pick our colors". He waited until the forth time we asked for paper cups to give them to us. Services were very rushed and we were told repeatedly it was because we looked at colors too long. Not relaxing, not enjoyable. read more

I love the other Spa Dabin locations but this place is awful. Rude receptionist, disorganized even though i had made an appointment. My sister was literally standing in pedi water and they decided we needed to do manicures first, they mischarged for the polish by not charging the extra $5 for vinylux polish, and then came back and blamed me for not saying something when i didn't have any way of knowing how much i should've been charged. Just bad from start to finish, and the manicure is really just average. I won't try again. read more

I enjoy this place overall for my pedicure. That is the only service that I've had done. They dont use a blade for the dry skin which I like. There is also a short shoulder massage at the end. But dont get too excited! It is very short, but still a nice touch. As with any service you will find that one technician may do the job more to your liking. They keep your name on file and you can save your favorite or put someone on your "no no" list. My biggest criticism is that they dont have WiFi. I could really use that time to get some quality work done! But hey I guess the idea is to relax. read more

**Spa Dabin** While it was great that they were able to accommodate four girls doing mani/pedis on a Saturday at last minute, it was my fault for expecting that the quality would be good. My manicure and pedicure were done very quickly and my manicure chipped the next day. Granted, I didn't get a no chip, but come on. The price wasn't bad...$40 for a mani/pedi, but I'm not going back. I can make a manicure last longer than that by doing my own nails. read more

For the price, the manicures and pedicures are perfectly fine and it is nice to have a clean place in the neighborhood. But do not under any circumstances go there for a brow wax. I have tried twice. The first time I was not really satisifed, but in a pinch I went back. Not only did they change the shape of my brows without a conversation confirming or even asking if this is what I wanted ahead of time, but the results were completely asymmetrical. The girl who did it took way too much off on one side and then laughed before telling me she was sorry. I have had to try to grow my brows back to a point where I can go to my normal spa downtown and get them reshaped... and looking terrible in the meantime! read more

I got a mani/pedi & had a 7pm appointment. The manicurist was polite & did an adequate job, though my french manicure was not as even as I would like & there were bubbles in the paint job because she seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. Which brings us to my main complaint: if you say you are open until 8pm, be open until 8pm. From the moment I walked in the door, I was being rushed out of it. I arrived a few minutes early & while I was picking out a magazine, I was asked to pay now because they were closing the register. What?! But I did. And then they had to charge me a second time for the difference between a standard & french manicure b/c they did not know that's what I was doing & I didn't think to mention it b/c I was so caught off guard by being asked for my credit card instead of welcomed & offered a beverage (which is what I am used to at my usual place). And, 3 people came in after me, so obviously there was no actual "closing" of the register that took place after my transaction(s). The pedicure & manicure were ok & the neck massage during the mani was a welcome bonus, but I will mention that the water you soak your fingernails in was cold & they were playing some bad action movie about a train (how about a rom-com?). Around 7:35, while 2 other customers & I are still having manicures, the staff starts cleaning up. I'm not talking about a little discreet tidying...I'm talking about picking everything up, taking out the garbage, & changing out of their work uniforms. Talk about feeling unwelcome! And then the drying station is situated so you are basically sitting at the reception desk, so while I am willing my nails to dry faster & exchanging awkward looks with the other 2 ladies doing the same, they are essentially holding a staff meeting, tallying things up, doing close-out paperwork, & dispersing tips. That was completely inappropriate. They should either do that in a back room (if there is one) or after the (posted) closing time & all customers have exited. I would like to add that I was out the door by 8:02 and my nails were still wet. It is not like I was sitting around trying to finish a magazine article at 8:20 or anything. I was really disappointed. I read the good reviews & was expecting a relaxing experience. For less than the $45 I spent (early weekday special, not including tip) I know I will be treated to a lot more hospitality elsewhere. read more

This place may not be the cheapest, but it's worth every penny. The nail techs are clean and efficient, leg massages are great, the atmosphere is very soothing and relaxing. Plus, you earn points that THEY keep track of toward a free future service! I won't go anywhere else now. I wish they had a better selection of colors, but I got a cute sea green on my toes, which I love. read more

Do not park in front of the salon . U will get ticket . It was pretty expensive mani $15 plus tip , parking ticket $50 . I don't think I would come here again . Just because of parking . Nothing's wrong w nail techs . read more

More like a 3.5! Super friendly and accommodating. Small, but with a clean and relaxing atmosphere. They were able to fit me and my 3 friends in morning of on a Sunday. They are meticulous and do a beautiful job... but like others have said, the no-chip mani is overpriced for what you get. In 6 days mine was already chipping. Not sure why this is an issue? Anywhere else I've gone it's lasted at least a full two weeks! I will continue to go here, but will only get a regular mani-pani. Which is a real bummer since no-chip is definitely what I prefer. read more

Very nice salon! I got the signature manicure and it was reasonably priced at $15. They also massage your hands, arms and shoulders too! Everyone was very nice and I intend to become a regular. read more

Love the addition of a fancy, clean and refreshing salon to Logan Square - boy did we need it. The salon is impeccably clean and the service is pleasant. I've tried various technicians and each has performed a thorough job. They also offer this point system which you can cash in for free services. read more

Came here 2 weeks ago for a no chip mani and regular pedicure. Four days later 2 nails chipped and a day after that the polish came off completely. The pedicure was mediocre at best. The technician barely scrubbed my feet with the pumice sponge and she definitely did not massage them as promised. This place is a definite hit or miss as the service is inconsistent and sloppy. read more

I have frequented this place many, many times and have never had a bad experience. The good: -very clean, quiet, upscale-type atmosphere -great treatment from staff (never had any dirty looks, talking between staff in another language, awkward exchanges/conversation when all you want to do is relax, etc) -the amount of time they spend on each customer is always consistent, I've never felt rushed and never felt like they were doing less than a thorough or complete job -even though I usually make appointments, the few times I haven't made an appointment and just walked in, they've always been more than accommodating. They keep the place well-staffed, which I love, there is nothing more annoying than an under-staffed nail joint where you have to wait forever, or get rushed out of your pedicure so they can take care of someone else -the mini-massage at the end while nails are drying is a nice touch -they have a rewards 'points' program where you don't even need a punchcard or anything else, they keep track of all customer information on the computer and reward frequent customers accordingly The bad: -instead of massage chairs, you are literally sitting on a wooden bench, which can feel rather awkward and uncomfortable, not to mention you feel like you are positioned up too close to the person doing your pedicure, and you are LITERALLY inches away from the next customer. They really should have designed this place better, to have more seating for pedicures, it can feel way too cramped, especially when they're at full capacity. -the price. It is definitely on the pricier side of nail spas I've been to. Granted, I get the more expensive pedicure, the Spa-O pedicure, which is $45, but that's because the difference between the two pedicures is really night and day, so I feel it's worth the extra money. However, I find it absolutely ridiculous that when I'm paying $45 + tip (so well over $50) for a pedicure, that paraffin and/or callus treatment are not included (they charge $10 each for those 'extra' features). I have NEVER seen a spa-pedicure (especially at that price) NOT include paraffin wax. Seems pretty outrageous to me. Also, two helpful tips: 1) You can NOT tip on credit cards, so make sure to bring cash 2) Ask for Kathy (I think that's her name). She's awesome, always does an amazing job! read more

Love this place!! Started coming here after a few bad pedicures elsewhere. I'm a waitress so I'm on my feet a lot and get a pedi almost every two weeks! Deanna rocks...always fits me in when I need it. Love chatting with her while I dry and relax! I always have my coffee but I might need to sneak some wine in and really enjoy myself. read more

Spa Dabin is just okay. Their seating is uncomfortable and you essentially put your feet in a kitchen sink. Both pedis I've gotten (signature and spa) left my feet smooth for about an hour but clearly rough and unevenly pumiced, kind of ragged. I dislike how non working techs walk around like the spa is their living room (eating lunch, on their phone). I think their services are overpriced for a mediocre experience. I have no issue paying $35 or $45 for an excellent pedicure if it truly is an excellent pedicure with great relaxing ambiance. This place is just okay, unfortunately it's the best we've got in Logan Square. read more

I love this spot. Clean, usually don't have to wait on a weekday morning, nice polish variety. Tina does a great job, and the other techs are good as well. Never had a bad experience. read more

I have only been here once and I liked it. Only thing I wish I had known before hand- is that they don't add tip if you pay with a credit card. Just went for the first time ever with my bridal party. We all left with great nails and agreed that we'd gotten great service and reasonable prices. The shop decor is cute, there's free street parking available, and days later my mani/pedi still looks as good as when it was first done. What more could I ask for? read more

After years of going to this nail salon, I'm officially done with it. I'm tired of the inconsistency! I would say you get a good mani/pedi one out of every four visits, which is why I'm not returning. This is my GO TO nail salon. The staff is warm and welcoming as well as talented. My no -chip last 2 weeks like it should and the tools they use are clean. This place is a gem in Logan Square. Very Pleased with this new spa option in Logan Square. The staff is very friendly. The pedicure was great the massage was an added plus. The spa is tranquil, which is nice when you really just want to unwind and relax. The flat screen was playing a movie on mute with subtitles for who wanted to watch. I do recommend you make appt while i was there 3 ladies walked in for a pedi and were turned away. There were only 4 ladies doing services. The manicure was nice and loved the hand massage and the hot towl retreatment., with the green tea soak. Well worth the money, may be a few dollars more then your cheesy asain quick nail place but it is worth the relaxation . Check it out won't be disappointed. read more

I've lived in Logan Square for eight years and am sad it took me so long to find Spa Dabin as they are by far the best nail salon in the area and maybe the city. They also include a neck and shoulder massage while your nails dry adding to your relaxation. Salon is comfortable and clean. Highly recommend! read more

Thank you Spa O! I am so happy you are my neighbor. I was looking for a new pedicure place and I have found it. I called and made an appointment and the girl on the phone was so nice and helpful. The foot and shoulder massages are a wonderful addition as well. I can't wait to go back! read more
