I had been looking at possibly adding new screens to my home for a year. When a friend recommended Dwayne with Southwest Solar Screens. I contacted him and he was out with in a few days with a reasonable estimate for doing my entire home. He told me it would take 3 to 4 weeks to build and then we would install them. He contacted when he had them built, 3 weeks, and installed today!! They look amazing. He and his family were kind and friendly. You are Supporting a local small business owner when you chose him. To top it off he did a terrific job. Thank you! PS to top it off I found out he does porch screens too!! Next on my list!!

We just had 90% solar screens placed on our windows and living in Arizona I'm wondering why we didn't do this before. He covered all 16 of our windows including our window arches. It has made such a huge difference in our house already. If you are looking into the possibility of solar screens I would highly recommend Southwest Solar Screens (380)631-9732. The owner, Dwayne Morris, came out quickly for an estimate and has very reasonable prices. The installation process went smoothly as well. We love them already!

Found Dwayne through neighborhood referrals and standout reviews on quality of work/delivery on solar screens. We had our house and guest house to do, lots of windows. After living in the desert now for 18+ years it had never occurred to me to put solar screens on to help negate the summer heat/sun and last year we had some lovely white shutters put up that I wanted to protect from discoloration. Dwayne came right out after my initial contact in late June and measured our house windows along with our guest house windows. Price point was excellent, included installation - cleaning outside windows and removing/discarding old screens. Now, while it did take some follow-up on my part and roughly 3 months from quote to installation it was worth the wait. The screens look fantastic from the outside and it is also nice not having wobbly half screens in our windows now. read more

Needed Solar Screens for our home. Following my practice, I called 3 separate Solar Screen companies to get estimates. First company came by and measured with the promise of an email estimate that same day. No email sent. No estimate given... Rather odd after coming out and taking measurements etc but??? I, of course, took that as they were too busy and immediately eliminated them. A second company came by and measured. Offered no real ideas or choices but then again the first company didn't offer choices or ideas either... He wasn't a bad guy but I didn't feel like he was passionate about doing this job or even selling solar screens- almost like it was a "side job" for him. He emailed the estimate as promised. Then Dwayne from Southwest Solar Screens came by. By far and without question the most professional! He truly knows his stuff and it shows. He radiated not only knowledge and passion but also a strong level of pride. And ALL while being just genuinely a real nice friendly person. He offered frame color choices. He offered levels of screen protection as well as screen colors- He graphically explained how he measures and fits each window. Our current window frame were white and he promised that if I chose a frame color to say, closer match the color of our newly painted stucco, the white window frames would be hidden by his beautiful new frames. I received Dwayne's email estimate later that day and comparing him to the other estimate- Dwayne's was a bit higher BUT offered a far superior product! Without hesitation I emailed him back and asked to be put on his schedule. The process took 3 weeks from measuring to installing. Our home looks fantastic with these new screens. And even better- we can already FEEL the difference! Much cooler inside which will mean lower AC bills! Oh- and did I mention- these screens come with a 10 year warrenty!!!! Highly recommend! Worth EVERY PENNY! You won't be disappointed. read more

I had an appointment 3 weeks ago and they did not show up. I called twice, only getting voice mail, left two messages and tried again this morning to get a live person. No luck. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. I'm moving on. read more

Dwayne the owner of Southwest Solar Screens is amazing! He's so nice and very efficient! I called him with an ask and he came out right away and replaced my screen on my sliding door that my puppy ran through. We've used him in the past for our window too and the product is great! I had custom screens done for my triangular shaped windows on the East and West side of my house. Dwayne the owner contacted me right away and came out and measured to give me a quote.. the price was very reasonable and he had them built and installed in a week! The quality is great and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this company too anyone looking to get solar screens.. he also guaranteed his work with a 5 year warranty! Southwest Solar Screens did an amazing job on my screens! I went through the company website for a free quote and had someone here with in a couple hours. They took the measurements and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. They were back out within the week and did the install. The screens were made perfectly and fit just how I imagined! The installation was very quick and clean and professional! Last but not least they were very easy and friendly to work with. Customer service was an A+!!! read more

I decided to wander into their workspace to learn what I could about this company that had a terrific reputation and had gotten press for being worker owned. When I walked in I was greeted by gracious Derek working at his computer near the entrance. Behind him I saw one of my decades-old cartoons about solar power on the back wall of the office. A good sign. The collegial space was packed with an industrious diverse crew with a sunny vibe. Forgive the pun but it is rooted in truth. A positive workspace is telling. Now wonder they're the best. Derek explained the available financing, how the system would be designed and the simple steps and I was delighted with the affordability and the speed with which I could have photovoltaic panels generating power on my roof. A year before I had posted interest in solar and was descended upon by sales people from the many solar operators here in southern Arizona. It was discouraging and dizzying. Unlike that blizzard of experiences my encounter with TFS was encouraging both because of the affordability and the simplicity of the steps. I was sold on the spot. We are buying our system on time and it will cost us much less than our electric bill and in the future will easily make even greater sense. In this strange political time going solar was an enjoyable act of defiance for us. Derek, Tamarack and Taylor and the other co-owners of TFS whom I encountered during the installation were terrific. TFS was present throughout the process of inspections, installation steps and reviews insuring a painless and pleasant transition. The patient positive attitude of everyone at TFS blew us away, both in the office, and in the field, at our home. The crews that came to my hacienda were staffed by exceptional highly experienced workers. The TFS electricians who replaced the old circuit box with a beautiful modern model were good humored and happy to explain their mission. The TFS installers of the panel supports and the panels who followed were a competent synchronized team who were equally cheerful about answering our questions. The much anticipated day TFS guided us through the simple steps of turning on our system was thrilling to this homeowner. Once the app we loaded was showing us how much energy the sun light was producing the experience felt magical. We set about using our appliances like kids, savoring the scientific miracle of sunlight powering powering our washer, dishwasher and oven. Our hacienda is powered by TFS and our hearts were warmed by TFS.

I've followed up and gotten bs response #1. be patient. you'll have it soon! a month after that still nothing. many other local solar companies can get you a quote in days and do a full proposal and site visit in a week. Obviously these guys are not motivated. They also seem to believe that all of there solar customers are green cred motivated by doing solar for the good of the planet. That's Not me. Yet. All their marketing and effort seems dedicated to appealing to my emotions and not the cold hard facts. So. All in all. Don't waste your time with these people.

The solar installation is still NOT living up to what we were promised. This has been a complete waste of our money and expectations have yet to be met. Again, this is completely unacceptable and unsatisfactory. Back in August 2018, wanting to know why the system wasn't living up to our expectations, I was given a song and dance routine, claiming that as the winter months got colder and our need for electricity became less, that the system would be generating more electricity than we used, creating a bank of credits for us to draw on from APS, this coming summer. However, that has NOT been the reality. See the results below (I won't be able to see the December bill for 24 hours, for some reason): January 2019 Total electricity you used, in kWh: 439 Total electricity you sold, in kWh: 431 November 2018 Total electricity you used, in kWh: 654 Total electricity you sold, in kWh: 676 October 2018 Total electricity you used, in kWh: 1590 Total electricity you sold, in kWh: 487 As you can see, this system isn't even cutting it during the cold months and we are going to be right back in the same situation when it starts to warm up, that we were in last summer. This is a totally bogus installation. When calculating how many solar panels we would need to meet our needs, they took the billing from the 3 HOTTEST months and supposedly configured a system (so we were told) that would generate 105% of the required electricity, even during the hottest months. Obviously, that is not happening. Today, I sent them an e-mail to their BuilderTrend.com account - rejected. I attempted to log into my BuilderTrend.com account - Denied...account has been terminated. I tried to go to their website - no longer exists and neither does their e-mail domain. Tried to call them. Both the regular number and the 888 number are out of service. It looks like they have gone out of business or closed shop and opened under a new name. I'm angry right now, at them and myself. My next move is going to be to go to the States Attorney General. If there any others that have been duped by this fraudulent company, we can get together and file a class-action lawsuit...provided we can find them. If you see this company coming, run like hell!

I called again on Tuesday and left a voicemail; I called again on Wednesday and left a voicemail; and I called again on Thursday and left a voicemail. Still no response. I'm obviously going to call another company that cares about customer service. Perhaps it's because I had a problem with them once before and I let them know about it, but ever since Jerry Sr. retired the service has been awful. Very, very, sorry to say that.

We discussed the work I needed done on a rental property in Tombstone AZ, and he agreed to meet up with us at the home on the following Saturday. Cliff and his assistant arrived promptly, a little early actually, which was nice. We walked through the property and pointed out what we needed done, which was mostly outlet installs. Cliff gave us several suggestions on good places to install them. A few of our heavy duty appliances had been tripping the breaker, so he explained to us in detail how he could fix that also. To our surprise, he was able to schedule the work to be done within a few days. We don't reside in town so the work needed to be done without us on the premises. During our meeting, he was friendly and felt very trustworthy so we left him our keys to the place and within days he had completed the job. Payment was a breeze and we found his charges quite reasonable. We traveled back to our home a few weeks later, anxious to see the work that was done. What I will say is "WOW!!!" All the outlets were installed as requested, new lines for our mini-split and our troubled appliances going into a different circuit. Then came the test... could we run the washer and dryer at the same time without it tripping? YES!!! I never thought something so simple could bring me such happiness! It is so nice having the peace of mind knowing that the work was completed by someone knowledgeable, efficient, fair and professional. Much better than how we were originally connecting surge protectors to extension cords - no more fire hazard!
