We had a routine, pre-season inspection of our home heating by a "big box" provider. The…read morerepresentative came to the house to inspect and declared our system was leaking carbon monoxide, resulting in him shutting down and locking out the system and arranging a a follow-on visit to propose replacement HVAC systems for our home. Suspicious of this result, we found two highly-rated independent HVAC shops - including ComfortX - to perform their own inspections, neither of which corroborated the CO reading. Likewise for the gas company, who came out and also confirmed no leak. So, the CO panic was wrong, whether intentional or not. Jacob from ComfortX was fantastic! He showed how the CO sensors may provide a false positive reading if not operated correctly. He then showed how to test correctly and that the test confirmed no CO. Separately, he DID identify a problem in the controller board that resulted in intermittent heating, a symptom we had experienced the last few years. He was able to isolate the problem to and perform a repair, and got everything fully functioning by the end of the same day. So, rather than us being shut down and waiting for a quote to replace two HVAC systems, instead, thanks to Jacob and ComfortX, we have two fully inspected and functioning systems and a comfortable home, all for a very reasonable inspection and repair charge. It's a huge relief whenever you find someone competent and trustworthy. I am thrilled to have Jacob and ComfortX in my contractor Rolodex! As an added bonus, our house had two systems that were nonfunctioning since we moved in three years ago: air purification and whole house humidification. Numerous visits from various contractors resulted in versions of "We don't know how to do that" type answers. In contrast, ComfortX explained how these systems worked, described what it would take to get them functional and installed optimally, and they will be soon doing the repair that we have been struggling to get done for years now.

He's been doing HVAC about six years and recently went out on his own, and it shows. He takes real pride in the work and clearly knew exactly what he was looking at. Beyond the repair, he's just a genuinely good guy. Charismatic, easy to talk to, and he explained what was going on without talking down to me or trying to upsell me on anything I didn't need. That's a rare combination in home services. If you're in Tucson and need HVAC help, call Leo. I'll absolutely be using him again.

We are now contemplating a New System, and of course we will go with him. The company is very sharp, and we know they went way overboard in helping us in such short order. I was amazed the problems kept coming up, and he got them handled at a VERY FAIR PRICE. Thank you Enrichment. Thank you Leo.

I'm so glad Sensi Mechanical was recommended to me. I initially hired Ryan for seasonal HVAC…read moremaintenance and was impressed enough to have him back for a coil cleaning. The difference in the quality of the coil cleaning compared with the service I received from another HVAC company last year was night and day. Looking at the before-and-after photos from the coil cleaning, you can clearly see the level of thoroughness and care Ryan puts into his work. He takes pride in doing the job right, and his pricing was far more reasonable as well. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a truly owner-operated HVAC company without constant upselling and inflated pricing. Sensi is a genuine mom-and-pop operation, and it shows in the quality of their work and customer service. Ryan is knowledgeable, thorough, and trustworthy, and his wife Danielle is an absolute joy to work with on scheduling. Sensi Mechanical is now my go-to Tucson HVAC company. I highly recommend them.

I didn't particularly like the guy with his up sell as to me needing some sort of sanitizing light in the blower cavity for mold. The estimate was way over the top! But he checked out all parts of the system thoroughly, said things were in order, and that was great. Then the summer visit came yesterday and don't know where the communication breakdown came but when i talked to the scheduler a couple of months ago and made the appointment, I immediately documented it in my Google calendar. Well, yesterday's appointment was to be between 8 and 10 AM. Then 10 AM came and went, and so did 10:30 and 11:00 AM. I called at 11:30 and was told that my appointment was late afternoon. I said no thanks cancel my appt and hung up. Within about 20 minutes or so I get a call from technician David, whom was told to call and report to my home. Very nice guy, we talked about the system, do's and dont's. He went outside and checked things, hosed out the inside of Condensor fan housing and the coils. He said everything looked great and we were done. Upon reading other reviews, it looks like most customers had a good experience, so I as well would say they are worth a try.

Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare…read more Replaced my whole AC. Was at my house from 8am to almost 10pm. My husband had ti take off work and I had to leave work early because my husband had an appointment. A technician came out with an apprentice. The AC never actually turned on and they had to come out the next day because things outside weren't properly installed. The following Monday (exactly 1 week later), we woke up and the AC wasn't working again. Monday was also Labor Day so naturally, it took my husband 9 calls to get in contact with someone even though this company claims to be 24/7. The issue was, the thermostat wasn't properly installed which turned the whole system off. They didn't have another thermostat to give us, so they took reinstalled our old ones which temporarily fixed the issues. Next day, AC wasn't working again. This time it was a draining issue in the attic -my husband went up in the attic and drained it manically. Technician came out, actually broke it more (which we found out the next day) and left. This technician was at my house till 7-8 at night. Next day, AC wasn't working again. Still a drowning issue. My husband continued to manually drain it himself and took a video of the broke piping that wasn't previously broken. No technicians can come out till the following day. Thursday now, I leave work early for the technicians that are supposed to come 12-2... guess what, no one does. 2:15, I call for an update, 3:30 I call for an update. Technician finally shows up at about 530 -so again, I had to take off of work for no reason. Technician comes out, my husband shows him the video and guess what? THEY DONT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT. So I waited all day for absolutely nothing. Technicians are supposed to come back out today so we'll see if this finally gets resolved. I'm not hopeful. Update: Company never called me to notify me when someone was going to come out like they said they would which annoying. When the technician came out, he had the correct fittings for the piping but he forgot a thermostat so he had to go get one at their store so that added another hour. All the technicians that have come out have been very nice. But that doesn't actually fix my AC. I feel completely ripped off. They replaced my whole system, just for it to take like 4-5 other visits to work . It feels like they're stealing our money. They never even give us the courtesy of calling to let us know when someone will be at the house if they're running late -they just expect us to be able to wait all day. Terrible customer service. Me and my husband are both active duty military so luckily we don't lose any money when we need to leave work early for these things but guess what? A lot of people do lose their income when they aren't actually at work. This company seems to have no sense urgency or caring of others to actually prioritize them and their time At this point, I want/expect a conversation with an owner or manager. I requested that one the phone and the woman said she'd forward me call to someone.. still haven't gotten anything from anyone. It's like they don't actually care. I'd like to know the average amount of apts it typically takes to install someones AC correctly and if it's always so many. I'd also like a discount because all of the issues we've run into have been absolutely ridiculous.
