We recently moved (back) to Tucson and purchased a home where we needed to replace two aging wooden gates, to be followed by snake fencing. Property goes down into a wash and there are lots of rattlesnakes. Rene fabricated the two primary gates, provided a replacement for a 3rd at "cost", and solved a problem of another not latching properly. We prefer to deal with smaller, locally-owned companies. In this case, we could not be more pleased with how that worked out. The quote was very reasonable, the fabrication excellent, and the installation process done on time and carefully. Nowadays you won't find one less than $700-$900. And even those are not that great. With all of that out of the way. We accepted and he wrote on the estimate/contract that it would be done 1st couple weeks in December That was ok as we needed it done before Christmas. On the first day of the second week in December we haven't heard a word, so we contacted him as to what day that week he was coming so we could make sure our schedules were cleared up. He called back the next day saying he was finishing up a big job and would have ours done next week. Well it's now Thursday of that next week (3rd week in December)..11 days after he said he would be here this week...... and we haven't heard a word from him....we cleared up our schedules yet again for this past week. And here is what else he just lost out on.... if he did as great a job as all the reviews said, we had a huge $$$$$$$ job that we needed done next. Looking at another site review, seems he has done this before. Now we wonder if all the great reviews are too good to be true or perhaps a scam. Extremely disrespectful to the customer, no contact as to even when or IF our job would be done, ignoring the contract, changing our schedules for this. If we knew this was going to happen, we would have found someone else to have this done before Christmas.
