Lots of back and forth about marking the water lines that run under the fence line between the meter and the house. I didn't want the project to start until those lines were marked and Rudy didn't care. Rudy told me installation could begin because he had clearance from the Tucson Water Department. But it turns out that the city only clears the line running to the meter, not the lines from the meter to the house. I found out, after calling 811 (Before You Dig), that the lines to the house are considered private and that I needed to hire a private contractor to locate the lines, which I did. Despite the lines having been marked, the crew broke one the first day on the job. Rudy told me it was an irrigation line (happens all the time according to him). After several unsuccessful attempts to fix the "irrigation line", a plumber was called hours later to fix the broken water line. All in all an extremely unpleasant experience with a happy ending -- a very nice fence.

They actually took me out to the yard and showed me different material options and even some sample fence sections in the back - helping me change my plan a bit and get the correct amount of material ordered up. To my surprise, no one sold these GE plates in the whole state of AZ. In fact, I was told by several people including electricians that I would need to spend thousands of dollars to upgrade my box because it was from the early 80's. I am in no position to spend that kind of money. My inspector simply require I have a deadplate covering my breakers. So I got busy calling around to several metal and steel business to request a plate be made. Due to COVID 19 many places didn't have the bandwidth to get this done in a 24/48hr turnaround time or they didn't/won't due this type of work. I was desperate because my deadline was fast approaching. To my surprise, I was guided to contact Santa Rita Steel. I spoke with Poncho and well, the rest is history.
