I got several quotes on adding a door handle and deadbolt to my gate and Phil's quote was the best. Phil's mobile welding is fantastic. Here are four examples why: 1. Expertise, called and sent pictures of the job to repair two connected driveway gates that would not close due to bent and corroded j-bolts and rigging. Required welding new J-bolts and installing cane rods. Perfect job, great welds and the 15 year old gate works perfectly. 2. Reliable, despite a labor shortage, Phil was out on Friday, scoped the work procured the parts over the weekend, and executed the work first thing Monday morning. Followed up on calls, was exactly on time - responsive to text messages, etc. Read: RELIABLE. 3. Flexible, once on site, asked him to look at a separate gate and move the gravity lock, flip the gate to swing the other direction. Phil happily squeezed the additional work in - again, great job. 4. Honest, genuine and polite / professional! Estimate exceeded final bill. Phil worked the entire time, did not drag out the effort to meet the hourly estimate. Walked back his estimate and charged me only for the hours on site - rolled parts into cost. In closing - highly recommend and will use again for mobile welding requirements. Phil is super nice and he came all the way across town to my home to fix my mailbox after I got home from work! Small job most people would go to the corner to do- Blazing hot outside and he got here and got right to work! It was a bit more than just tacking the box back on- needed to use a piece of metal he had on hand to weld to the uprights so there was something sturdy to weld the baseplate to then drilled through that metal and screwed the baseplate to the metal he added! I have a bench that I wanted two additional (approx)18" pieces welded on for additional strength. Got a phone bid which I accepted. I called a few days later and we agreed that I would take the bench to his shop. I arrived at his shop (a trailer with a few benches). He seemed upset when he learned that I wanted to wait while he did the welding ,he for whatever reason thought I would leave the bench and pick it up later. Having driven cross town (about 10 miles one way) this was not my intention. After some back and forth he reluctedly agreed to do the job while I waited. At some point he casually threw out a price that was more than what we had agreed on. A brief argument later he agreed to do the job as quoted on the phone. The WHOLE EXPERIENCE was unpleasant. AND to top things off, the "welding" was subpar. read more

Phil's Mobile Welding came out and installed a rear gate for me after I cut the fence section where I wanted it. After one last minute cancelled appointment Phil made it out 2 days later and he welded sides to the cut out fence section to make a door frame, welded hinges and gravity latch. Needed new hinges on a security door after they'd rusted solid/broken the welds. Fast response (within two days the repair was complete, and on a Saturday), did a great job, even painted it.
