The appointments were professional and on time the drawings were perfect and most importantly the gates I had made far exceeded my expectations. The gates were designed to match an existing custom door and were perfect in every way. The installation was on schedule and the crew were great. The follow up from there office gave me many opportunities to make any changes but there was nothing to change. Almost a year after the installation the gates did not close as cleanly as before due to other contractors pulling on the gate in moving an AC unit. It still functioned great but with a slight rub. So we called and they had a crew out to look at it in a few days and fixed it in moments. The fix was half what I was expecting to pay. 6 months later it's as precise as ever. My front security door is beautiful. I chose a unique pattern and got it in an Ostrich color. I got it with clear glass on the back, which can be opened and I put some frosted film on it. I get light when it's closed and air flow when it's open, as the actual door has a bug screen on it. It is a very well constructed door and is difficult to open and close but that's what I wanted. I get many compliments on it. I also purchased a bare minimum patterned door for the side door to my garage. Both have keyed locks inside, which I choose over the thumb switch/toggle kind of locking system. The garage door stays open for ventilation. It only has a screen on it. read more

We got three quotes on security screen doors. We chose to go with first impressions for several reasons. Overall, they seemed like the best value for what we were looking for. I guess we wanted what a lot of people want, a high-end look and features at a mid-price. They offer the look of an iron entryway door on a regular security screen door. We especially like the large handles and the 4-inch framing around the entire door. The two-tone look, with the front design being a different color than the security screen backing, looks especially nice. The door also has what I think are nylon rollers that close it very securely. These are large 8-foot double doors! Glenn was our sales guy, and he was exceptional. He was very accessible for follow-up questions, and he worked with us on the price. Also, very importantly, the installation guys did a really great job. It took longer than I was imagining, but when I saw what all was involved, it completely makes sense. My only additional recommendation for the company would be to have the installation guys use a Shop-Vac to clean up a little better, and take an extra two minutes to wipe down the front of the door. We just love our new door, the whole process from sales to installation was charmed. First Impressions provided First Class installation, service and price. We had priced a similar door but not close to this heavy duty and quality of door, it would have cost an additional $600 and 3-4 month install date instead of 3 weeks. Eric their salesman did an excellent job in explaining and advising but Richard their independent contract installer did an outstanding job installing and explaining the care for continued happiness for this beautiful door. The investment company that has taken over seems very focused on product quality and customer service, never a bad thing. Five stars for these guys in every aspect or step of the process! The door is lovely, but neither the salesman or the installer explained that it required a double lock to be totally secure and instead they put on a single lock. Then the office person had the audacity to say that's what you ordered. That was even after I told the salesman the reason I was replacing the current screen was so I could be totally secure at night. They made it right free of charge after I complained. read more

After my earlier comments, Jennifer from customer service contacted me. She agreed to have technician come look at the condition on my two gates. Once the technician saw my gates he acknowledged that the level of corrosion was not normal. So despite the normal 2 year warranty on powdercoat, First Impressions agreed to clean up the steel screens and powdercoat them again. The screens were installed today, and look great!!! This place gets a Big Fat "F" in Customer Service , Response Time and Quality !! When you call and I've been doing so since December of 2020 , left messages, talked to people who took my information and some who sent me to someone's Voice Mail who have never called back. Today I called again to find out if I can drive to Phoenix to pick up the parts I need to replace their crappy quality garbage they sell and was told again that someone would return my call today. It's 3:59 and no call, they close at 4. If you are going to have any iron works installed In Tucson don't call this joint. I was told today that a 3rd party company answers the phones but the messages are passed along to someone else and was told by someone else that the Tucson office had been closed since Covid but they drive to Tucson to do work every day. Another crock of crap !! I called Southwest Iron works to see if they could fix this junk and was told that they have tried in the past to fix it but can't because they use inferior quality that isn't readily available to other companies. With that said and what's been going on since December is prolly guess that they need to go outta business everywhere. When I have to replace these doors I'll have Custom Work done by a local independent shop !! First Impression sucks ass in every way !!! read more
