To die for! Everything is delicious, definitely recommend everything from breakfast sandwiches to lunch sandwiches. I wish they were open everyday but the anticipation and wait is well worth it! read more

Best Focaccia and Sourdough Bread Ever This place is a hidden gem. The sourdough and focaccia bread are amazing. The El Porto (turkey) sandwich and Tuna sandwich on focaccia will blow up your world. They're only open Thur-Sun and close whenever they run out of bread. The food is too affordable for the quality. I actually think they should increase prices if it improves their odds of staying in business. read more

Hidden gem in El Segundo. I got the El Porto sandwich on focaccia and it was incredible. The focaccia here was really good. It's hard to find a good bakery in the South Bay but this seems like the spot. I'll definitely be returning, prices were reasonable and service was incredible. read more

5 star review for their loaves and sourdough rolls!! 3 stars for food availability (keep reading). The rolls? We love them all!! The spicy Hot Night vegan roll is my fave, and the bf loves the Submarine roll. The Date Night tastes a bit like a dessert roll, and if they are offering their tuna stuffed roll- it's super delish. The bagels are a bit dense for our preference so we thought it was exciting they offer biscuits BUT we were SUPER bummed to wait in line to order then be told you really have to call ahead first thing in the morning if you want a biscuit sandwich ... apparently they don't bother to reserve amounts for walk-in customers throughout the morning and they all usually get taken first thing by customers who call to reserve them. Probably should advertise this so people don't show up at 9:30am (Friday) on their birthday excited for an egg & cheese biscuit ... birthday or not, I'm still bummed to hear this is a thing cuz I don't typically eat breakfast at 8am. oh, wellll ... still glad to have them in town for the rolls and that lovely kalamata olive loaf. read more

Excellent pockets and bagels, plus the best olive focaccia. Great service as well-with a smile

Great food. Best sourdough rolls stuffed with amazing fillings. Best jalapeno and cheese bagel in town.

I loved the sandwich El Porto on Baguette. The sandwich was so full of great stuff but hard to eat. I wish the seating was a little nicer. Definitely recommend for a great sandwich. read more

So good!!! I love this place. They have amazing biscuits and coffee. The biscuits are hard to come by because everyone gets them!! I like the coffee too. There is excellent service too. I called ahead to reserve some biscuits and it was excellent! They have a really helpful waiter/cashier named Taylor who gave great service. I made sure to give a big tip. Go South Bread! 5/5 read more

Southwest Bread makes the best sourdough I have ever had, and I have had A LOT. Also, Cory is always so nice and pleasant. I am so glad Southwest Bread opened in Gundo! read more

Southwest Bread is absolutely amazing! First found out about them at the Palos Verdes Farmers Market and instantly fell in love with the stuffed bread rolls. The owner Courtney is by far one of the nicest people I have met and very helpful. I highly recommend this business to anyone. read more

I found Southwest Bread at Palos Verdes Farmers Market. It was easy to love the long ferment sourdough. The stuffed bread roll are freaking awesome and I've never had a bad bite from here. I especially like the night owl (bacon, cheddar and red onion inside a sourdough bread roll). The sandwiches are fresh and well done. They also give awesome customer service. Courtney is the hardest working small business owner I know. It's great to see her open this storefront and succeed. read more

The sourdough bagels are amazing, I love how the everything bagels are completely covered in seasoning

My family and I love everything Southwest Bread makes. By now we've tried almost all of the breakfasts, each of lunch sandwiches and stuffed rolls, every bread, and they are all fantastic!! I'm so glad that they've joined downtown El Segundo and am looking forward to each new item they add to their menu! read more

A wonderful addition to El Segundo. Delicious breads, sandwiches, bagels, and stuffed rolls. Great service and cozy atmosphere.

This is one of those places that you can tell the owner cares so much about the product. The food here is out of this world! The food and customer service is what keeps us wanting to come back. An absolute must try! read more

I first tried Southwest Bread sourdough stuffed rolls at the Palos Verdes Farmers Market. Wow they were fantastic! I loved the combinations especially the spicy ones. They're best right out of the oven when they're warm. I feel like the rolls were one of those special things you find when visiting a farmers market that you can't find anywhere else. Until they opened their own shop! Would highly recommend and I've already told all my friends and family. read more

I already wrote a review on Google but I'm writing another here since I truly have never had such a negative and unwelcoming experience like here before. The lady who served our food explained that we couldn't eat outside food in her store. We understood and put the food the food away right then. But she continued to rudely said "If I didn't make the food, I don't want it on my table either" and when she came back with the coffee, she made it obvious to look around the table. Your coffee is average but what left a bad taste is your customer service. We were a group of nurses who finished our 12 hour shift and just wanted to get some coffee, but you had to ruin the only time we had to relax and catch up. read more

We got the everything bagel with lox and the honey butter biscuit. They lox bagel was beautiful and so was the biscuit -- it is clear they prepare their food with lots of care and artisanship. Definitely stop by and check out this small business! Just be sure to get there early, before the most popular items run out. read more

This place is on another level of amazing. Everybody who works here is so kind, service is great. But the real kicker is the food. Every sandwich here is amazing. The Porto and the Pier are my personal favorites. Been here 5 times now and every time it was consistently great. The bread is insane try it!!! read more

Finally made my way to this cute establishment around the corner from where I live. Ordered the El Porto sandwich on focaccia bread and bagel with cream cheese. My sandwich was one of the freshest sandwiches I ever had! And their breads are freshly baked! So delicious. They also offer a selection of beverages (coffee, tea), freshly baked bread and catering (for Thanksgiving)! I'll be coming here often! read more

Ummm.... My fiancé and I are obsessed with Southwest Bread and their Sourdough Stuffed Rolls. We don't even live in El segundo but happened to be visiting the town and stopped by a couple months ago randomly. So happy to find them cuz since then we have obsessively come back into town at least 2-3x a week to get those rolls!!! Even woke ourselves up earlier to get there when they open just so we can get the rolls we love cuz last times they were sold out. :)))) Omg soooo yummy! Also the staff is super sweet. Thank you! See you next week! read more

the best sourdough bread i've ever had in my life!!! all their food is spectacular..i am hooked forever

I would like to start this review off by saying it's Father's Day and my husband lovesssssss the honey biscuits and I truly wanted to enjoy having the honey biscuits this morning for my family for church. I called a few days prior and spoke to a woman on the phone. She took my name number and order. This was for a pickup at 8am... it's Father's Day getting kids ready takes a toll so my apologies for not being as punctual as I should but that's why I called ahead to reserve my biscuits just in case something comes up.... I called at 9 am just knowing that my order would still be there.... SMH Now the new employee that answered the phone was clearly uncertain of the rules and the owner was giving her directions in the background instead of speaking to the customer directly which made me feel disregarded and dismissed as if my business wasn't worthy of accurate information or good service. The girl seemed confused and flustered and the energy shifted and she began to have a tone... as if I'm wrong to ask questions about their services and how things work... But again I was late and just trying to get a better idea of why my biscuits were sold when they're open until 3pm... from Thursday- Sunday Now this is my 3rd Attempt at these biscuits in 2weeks alone. 1st time I called at 8am and spoke to a woman and reserved 3 biscuits to pick up in the same day! They called me back with a man on the phone 14mins later letting me know my biscuits were actually sold and they gave me the wrong info. 2nd attempt I called days prior and the owner said we don't do days prior orders over the phone only same day orders on the phone... then this 3rd attempt where I called ,they honored me calling and placing an order over the phone only for it to be sold and the owner telling me we don't call to notify you we're selling your reserved food we sell it if you aren't on time. With no buffer then only to say we wait an hour... but no notification it's just very interesting how inconsistent and very rude this owner is. I've referred so many people here because clearly I enjoy the food... it's just very disappointing... a co worker of mine had a bad experience a few months back with feeling dismissed and not really tended too and I continued to eat there but yea I'm good now... I'm not mad or anything I just know when God tells me not to go places I'm not wanted and not to give buisness to places I'm not celebrated! And that's for my people of Color no knock on the food tho I know they will still get amazing business I just wanted to express myself and my experience.... I didn't feel heard or cared about and that made me feel icky and I decided to stand up for myself but me and my tribe won't be back read more
