I was glad I was able to get cupcakes before they closed. They one gave a one day notice so not everyone knew. They had the best chocolate cupcake and best red velvet cupcake. The Baseline: For a desert shop the flavor of offerings must out-weigh the taste of pure sugar, there must be unique/rare offerings that drive me to go there, and the value of the desert must be balanced with the fact I probably just finished a meal. Food: Tasty cupcakes with a slightly higher price tag. ATM them at 4AM if you need a cupcake fix. I got the Vietnamese Coffee cupcake which was good but a little too sugary. Need to try others to really make a final verdict. Service: Great service from the employees and there is a self service ATM for cupcakes so it is 24/7 cupcakes if you need them. My daughter and I were in the area after a candle making class I couldn't leave without buying a cupcake or two. Located in Manhattan Village shopping center underground parking is available nearby and it's free to park. A clean cute quaint storefront as I remember from a prior visit to a sister store in Santa Monica California. This location is very small and in my opinion there weren't very many interesting flavors and they had just one vegan option red velvet and my daughter doesn't like that flavor. I chose Pumpkin Spice Latte Creamy and spicy deliciousness. 9/10 Coconut cream Sweet tender coconutty awesomeness. 8/10 White chocolate Raspberry Tender raspberry cake, tangy raspberry filling and the frosting isn't too sweet. 8/10 Are these expensive cupcakes worth the hype no but to me buying eating and enjoying a Sprinkles cupcake is like taking a trip down memory lane. So this is where happiness lives! Boyfriend treated me to the best sellers after a gum operation when I could have only soft foods for a few days. I thought they were amazing, so we got 14 cupcakes to take to our hosts' house for Thanksgiving. I've definitely seen these cupcakes around, both the stores and the vending machines. I've also heard they were a scam. I was feeling like a sweet treat so I decided to get one cupcake. Terrible, couldn't finish. Red Velvet Cupcake - $5 (0/5): First of all this cupcake is $5. I would expect the best but its not. The cake was moist but its wayyy too sweet, from the cake to the frosting. I got a headache after like 3 bites even tho im a sweets girly. ALSO WTF IS THE RED THING ON TOP!!?? I get its probably brand design, but at least make it edible wtf. I thought it was chocolate but it was just a wafer of food coloring. It was bitter and it made my mouth red. Threw this cupcake away. The chocolate cake was delicious, rich, and moist. The service was friendly. They offer curbside service. You cannot park outside their storefront but you can wait in adjoining parking structure in designated pickup spots. My only critique is they do not decorate their cakes. My husband birthday cake was bare and I was resigned to tossing some gold edible glitter dust and other doodads on his cake to pretty it up. It was not perfect but it worked out. But I would rather have it professionally tended. The cake cost just as much as a Sunday brunch for me and my husband at another establishment in Manhattan Village. This was my first visit to this location (super small storefront) in the Manhattan Village. 3-star rating fo my order being ready upon picking up, and for ok service. The cupcakes were packaged well and looked nice. Unfortunately, all four flavors were just ok and the cake portion was DRY. The Biscoff Cookie Butter had the better flavor of the 4. Dry cake isn't uncommon for Sprinkles cupcakes (IMO), however, I was hopeful the special flavors might be worthwhile. Pass. I'll stick to Susie's down the way. read more

I've been meaning to try Sprinkles for a long time, and I finally got to try it! I chose a lemon blueberry, while my partner and her mom got chocolate cupcakes. Cupcakes were $5 a pop, which is hefty for just a cupcake, but hey, they were *gourmet* Verdict? WAY too sweet. Now, I love frosting on cupcakes, but the ratio of frosting to cupcake was way off, over 3:1. It would've been fine if the frosting wasn't too sweet, but it was CLOYING, to the point it hurt my teeth. And the cupcake itself was just okay, a bit dry and not enough blueberries to stand out. Maybe it's just me and I just can't handle sweets as well as I used to. But Sprinkles' sweetness was overkill and too expensive. I picked the red velvet because I do enjoy the taste and I know this is one of my favorite flavors from here. The inside is small and no there isn't a place to eat it. We just got ours and just walked around and are it. I still do think there is too much cream on top but you can just get a napkin and take it off. It's awesome that there's a Sprinkles in the south bay now! Parking and streets in surrounding area are less hectic than the Beverly Hills location. I do enjoy that they frequently have unique flavors. The Patrón tastes like you'd expect (wasn't a big fan though; for me, didn't enjoy that flavor profile in a cupcake). The Vietnamese coffee also tastes like you'd expect (chocolate and coffee flavors went well together). Overall, think Sprinkles cupcakes make great visually appealing gifts for people with a sweet tooth! I've made Sprinkles cupcakes whose ingredients are/were sold in tubes at Williams Sonoma and they weren't fantastic. Memorable? Yes, because the cost was silly expensive and in my opinion a box of Betty Crocker was tastier. I needed birthday cupcakes and then the email arrived announcing a free birthday cupcake with my name on it...I knew it was kismet. I ordered my usual box of six: Dark Chocolate x2, Triple Cinnamon, Chocolate Marshmallow, Red Velvet and Carrot plus 1 birthday cupcake for pick up. Wholly cupcake queen this round was super delicious! Which is a big deal because the last 2 rounds from the Irvine location were enough to cause me to pause on any more Sprinkles cupcakes. But this batch changed my mind; fresh, moist and cupcakey superb. Now I could complain about the cream cheese frosting on the Red Velvet...but I won't because even my cream cheese frosting lately hasn't been wonderful - the taste just isn't as good as it was when I was growing up (even mom agrees). Hello Sprinkles Manhattan Beach! I am so excited to see the newest Sprinkles Cupcakes is in the South Bay! This is technically the second location of Sprinkles in the South Bay as there is a Sprinkles vending machine at the Del Amo Mall. This location however is the first full on store location of Sprinkles here in the South Bay. The store is small and cute and has all the favorites like Red Velvet, Strawberry and of course Sprinkles cupcakes. For my first visit here I got the seasonal Pumpkin cupcake as well their Bewitched Red Velvet in their $10 box (additional 25 cents for the Bewitched cupcake and additional 50 cents for the Pumpkin. There is also a seasonal Reese's Pieces cupcake for an extra $1). The boxes are a great and yummy deal as there is a slight discount. The cupcakes individually run at about $6 and if you get a box; they run around $5 each or a little over for the speciality ones. Aside from cupcakes they have chocolate candy and they will also soon have cookies. For now it is a indoor store location only but they will soon have an atm outside where you can also get cupcakes. Indoor they have iPad kiosks where you can place an order. It is quick and easy to order cupcakes. They also have very friendly staff if you run into any issues or have questions I can't wait to be back to try more cupcakes. I also will be sure to check out the atm once it is up! read more

This spot has been open for a week. It was hard to find on google maps and Apple Maps, so I would suggest parking in the north lot and looking at a map to show you where to go. The front is really small. We got there before 8:45pm on a Friday. There was 1 person in front waiting for their order and 1 person walking out with their order, so others were aware they were open. Lots of stuff was sold out, but that's normal before closing at all the Sprinkles I've been to. You order from the tablet and input all your rewards information there. I had a free birthday cupcake and was able to get the discount before paying. I recently had to change my diet, and Sprinkles definitely isn't approved. So... I got the gluten free options of these: -red velvet. Delicious but not as great as the original. 4/5 -chocolate chip cookie. I'm not a cookie eater, but it was delicious. 4/5 We also got pupcakes. I went in search of good desserts. Always wanted to try sprinkles. Was on this side of town and when I yelped it, I headed straight for it. Mapquest directions suck as it took me everywhere but Sprinkles. It's on the inner streets of the mall. Anyway... was towards the end of the night and they were sold out if the good flavors. So I got the dark chocolate ($5) and lemon blueberry ($5+.25). They were quite small. For $5? I guess it's quality ingredients. Lemon blueberry-tasted more lemon than blueberry. The good: I ordered outside the shop from the self-ordering kiosk/vending ATM machine. You could also walk inside but there was a line and I was curious how the machine worked. I got a pumpkin cupcake and thought it tasted great and wasn't too sweet (the ultimate Asian compliment for desserts). The cupcake was just the right level of crumbly and soft. I enjoy their signature polka dot sprinkle on top. The bad: It had been over ten years since I had Sprinkles. The only time I ever had it was from their NorCal not too long after they had opened and cupcakes were super popular then. They waste a lot of packaging with their individually wrapped cupcake but it makes for a nice gift or potluck contribution. The interesting: They had both pumpkin and pumpkin spice cupcakes. Customer Service- Ok. It is tough to find great customer service nowadays. However, the young lady seemed preoccupied upon us walking in. I will blame the service on that. Cake- Decent. We purchased the dozen box for $61.50 A little on the higher end. Having that said, I do expect fluffy and moist cakes. The presentation is so cuteee!! This can easily be a gift to someone. You have sticker options for different events which adds a touch of cuteness. Flavors- I would say some are a hit or miss. The milk chocolate is by far my favorite. Lemon Blueberry was a little dry with very little lemon flavoring in the frosting. The cinnamon one was light. I have yet to try others but judging by what we have tried so far they are just ok. Sprinkles Cupcakes is always delicious, so I was very excited to find out they opened a location in Manhattan Beach. This location is in the new area between the two parking structures. It will soon be next to Alo. Since they just opened, they have a limited menu. The full menu should be available mid-November 2022. The cupcake flavors they have on the limited menu are Red Velvet, Dark Chocolate, Sprinkle, Vanilla, Strawberry, Black and White, Milk Chocolate, Lemon Blueberry and Pumpkin. Cupcakes average about $5-6 each. They have different box options if you want to get 12, 6, 4, etc. The ordering system is on an iPad at the counter, to do yourself. They have 2 iPads to order off of. You can also order ahead if you just want to pick up at the door. A cupcake ATM is also coming soon. The staff was very friendly.
