After talking in their elevated conference room, they came out with an offer, $4000 (listed price was $5000). After saying we were happy with this amount, they took it back to their inspection room, and after about an hour and a half of us being there they told us they were not interested because of problems with the transmission and suspension. These problems were clearly listed on our KSL listings, which makes me think they either didn't read it or because we got someone that was not familiar with the car they didn't realize the problems. Either way it took an hour and a half out of our day with absolutely nothing to show for it. There were also some workers chatting in the back and it made me uncomfortable how they were talking about a woman that wasn't there, very loudly calling her a b*tch. I couldn't believe they would be saying stuff like that in such a customer facing area.

With no time to spare, we bought a Nissan from the CarMax in Meridian, Idaho. There was a known issue with the AC that was agreed to be fixed before her departure. After we walked out of the dealership, the sales person was MIA and was no help. Thankfully, Gabe in the Meridian service department connected us with Hayden. After a sweaty 5 Hour Dr. to Utah, we pulled into CarMax and were in great hands with Hayden. He provided a loaner car, called every day with a status, and was just so accountable for the issue. And it wasn't even from his dealership. Hats off to the UT service dept and to Hayden! He's the best!

My car had a tire pressure light on that they said they would fix and when I had it in to fix the just reset the light. The light was on for a reason. There were multiple pieces of metal in the tire (which they said they took off and checked) I had to purchase a tire from Big O. I also had the oil change pckage and the 18 year old that did my last oil change over torqued my drain plug and bent the opening pretty bad so he put a really big after market plug in with a gasket. BMW said that the entire oil pan had to be replaced, Fortunately I went in and threw a big enough fit that they gave me a written promis that they would replace it if it ever leaked. Then I found that the rear passenger door was broken with the child lock on and the Transfer case was out. Everytime I took it back they said it was fine. The warranty that they sold me for 3k was locked to their service dept! I finally got someone to listen to me and they checked out the transfer case and said it did fail. It had metal shavings in the fluid. They used to check off that they rotated my tires and they didnt until I told them too. Then when I drove home my car started making a weird noise about a block from home. My husband checked and the lugnuts on my driver side front tire were so loose that it could have fallen off. I can see why they have been closed down. update: my oil pan is leaking now and the dealer is closed, the gentleman who promised a replacement is saying the they will honor it since it was all part of the Larry H Miller chain and he is still a district manager there. I am glad I had the manager brought into this when I was in there fuming . Still waiting to hear back where I take it for repair, another update coming.

That said, aside from the length of time, we had a pretty great experience with the team at Utah Used Cars. Matt was our salesman and did a great job answering questions and thoroughly explaining the process and options. Helen walked us through each piece of paperwork clearly and efficiently. I recently bought a car here and wanted to share my experience…read more First, the positives: the sales process was relaxed and not pushy. Chris was great to work with and made the shopping experience easy. Unfortunately, the finance process was a different story. While completing the paperwork, the Finance Manager, Marco, added an Auto Theft Recovery product ($400) to the contract without mentioning that it was optional, or even mentioning it at all. I didn't notice until I was at my bank getting the check. I then had to contact the dealership to have the contract redone. The first revised contract they sent was incorrect, so I had to wait again for another corrected and signed version. The entire process added about two hours at the bank over a charge that should have been clearly disclosed from the beginning. Overall, the buying experience was good until the financing stage. My advice is to carefully review every line of the contract before signing, especially any optional products that they will unfortunately try to throw on there.
