I am very upset with this company because I did not get the padding I was told and promised I would get! After the job was finished and paid for then they were honest about not using the soft memory foam pad we chose and wanted. They never mentioned they were using a different pad, not on the phone or when we went to the showroom and spoke to them in person. They assured us we would be getting the same memory foam as we had purchased before. I still do not believe that the pad, they chose to put in was a memory pad because it is as hard as a cement floor. It is like walking around in the most uncomfortable and painful shoes and you can never take them off. All I wanted was soft padding and they failed me! There is no way to rip it out and replace it at this point. We rented two storage containers and paid a moving company to take everything out of the house and put it all back. Who is going to pay for that? read more

I had carpet installed by Southland Carpet about five years ago and have experienced ongoing issues with the carpet lifting and not staying secured. What's even more concerning is that my mother, who also used Southland Carpet, is having the exact same problem in her home. We live in different cities--Murrieta and San Marcos--so this does not appear to be a coincidence or an isolated issue. When we contacted Southland Carpet, we were told the problem was not their responsibility. I stated that we should not be charged for an issue that appears to be related to installation and mentioned that I would be leaving a review. At that point, I was told that writing a review would be considered slander, which was both unprofessional and alarming. Do not use this company. Within a few years, your carpet may begin to lift, and when you call them for help, you may be dismissed and accused of slander instead of receiving support or accountability. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Southland Carpet to replace my carpet, hardwood flooring and ceramic wood flooring after a flood ruined them. I have travertine and hand scraped cherrywood flooring in my house and wanted to replace them. I was having a hard time finding the same quality of travertine and hand scraped wood flooring, but Rainee and Liz were lifesavers and were able to find exactly what we were looking for. I rarely leave reviews but Liz at Southland Carpet made a carpet miracle happen so I feel I must share. Here's what happened, I was in an absolute bind because I went to a big box store first. This big box store advertises "5 day install" but they left me hanging just a few weeks before we needed our carpet installed. I went to place my order after weeks of talking to them and they said "oh everything takes 2 weeks to order and 4 weeks to install. Because of covid we don't offer 5 day install right now". Of course I panicked. I left the big box store and started asking for recommendations. Enter Southland carpet to save my day! Liz went above and beyond. Their quote was less than the big box store and hundreds less than a quote we got from a previous private carpet company. Liz helped me find the perfect carpet and was able order and install a week before my move-in day. They had a great selection and Liz was very helpful, never pushy or salesy. If there was a way to place zero stars I would. Worst most shotty work I have ever experienced. Was forced to use them through Pulido Restoration, which we have now spoken to on who they should stop using for their flooring company. Dry wall damage, Loosely glued bull nose on the stairs, risers pulling away and floors not installed to the carpet line. Their tile installers did obvious damage to my kitchen cabinets. They then acted like they never saw the damage. When this was brought to the attention of Southland, their remedy was to take $150 off our 6K+ bill! So far we have had a great experience with Southland. They installed Coretec vinyl flooring on our entire first floor, which also included needing to remove our tile first. The installers were polite and timely and did a great job. Rainee is always very responsive to my questions and has had the crew fix a couple of little things here and there upon my request, including ordering extra flooring to replace a board that had a scratch. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and I really appreciated getting all inclusive pricing instead of some places that you think you are getting a deal and then at the end they say well plus the pad, plus the installation, plus...
