We got pink champagne and churro flavors. After the wedding, our top tier was packed with the flowers and was left in a bin for 2 days in the heat. Long story short our top tier was destroyed :(. Piece of cake was so nice to make us another one and they were able to put both flavors in that tier! We are so fortunate to have Piece of Cake as our cake vendor. They did such an amazing job and the customer service is superb! Definitely recommend them for any special occasion!

Our wedding cake was something I was incredibly excited about, and unfortunately it ended up being…read moreone of the biggest disappointments of our day. The design we discussed and were shown was a spatula-lined, ripple-style cake with a true ombré effect, starting with a rich plum at the bottom and gradually fading through soft shades of purple into white at the top. What we received did not reflect that vision. The cake was a very dark plum throughout, the finish looked uneven, and the ombré effect was not present. My husband immediately noticed that it wasn't what we had asked for, and it was honestly upsetting to see something so different from what we expected. That said, the flavor was absolutely delicious and truly the saving grace. We chose a more unconventional flavor combination of lemon cake with blueberry compote, and it tasted incredible. Many of our guests commented on how good it was. While the cake tasted wonderful, the visual execution did not align with what was requested or shown during the design process. Given how meaningful the wedding cake is as both a focal point and photo moment, this was really disappointing for us. I wish the final design had more closely matched what we had discussed, but I do appreciate the quality of the flavor and baking itself.

The rich chocolate paired beautifully with the salt, and caramel creating that perfect sweet-and-salty combination. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and we left already talking about what we'd try on our next visit. We will definitely be back!

Trust me, I have gone far and wide seeking the best for the money desserts in the area. Why best for the money? Because I usually take items to work for sharing. That can be pricey at $5-7 bucks per item. Often the expensive desserts aren't really much better than the Safeway Bakery. Cupcakesters are reasonably priced and also do custom orders. I love the selection of items and would recommend a trip to this place. I did get one of everything for the office. Super good. They also have vegan and gluten free. The current location as of 7/20/2022 is in Mesa on the corner of Main and Lindsay west of the KFC.

We came at 4:30 and still had more than enough options to choose from. I happened to like frosting and it was fun to see adorable frosting cups although I didn't purchase one. We opted for the tuxedo, pins colada, cinnamon and s'mores cupcakes. The tuxedo was rich and balanced, with smooth chocolate with vanilla frosting that felt classic and satisfying. The Piña Colada was light and tropical, with coconut and pineapple adding a fresh, summery twist. The Cinnamon had a warm, cozy spice--simple, comforting, and perfect with my after dinner coffee. S'mores was sweet and nostalgic, capturing chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker in a fun way. Overall, a great mix of classic and playful.
