I didn't know what the big deal was. Now I know! I ordered three types (2ea) of Conchas. They were the most flavorful moist Conchas I ever had. The powdered flavored coatings remained adhered to each Conchas with every bite. The coating of Conchas I previously tried from other bakeries fell off as soon as I picked them up. I also ordered her dessert empanadas. They were very tasty as well. This self-taught baker knows what she's doing and can teach the other bakers a thing or two. She has such a wide assortment of baked goods to choose from on her menu. She even takes orders to bake cakes for special occasions. Her cakes looks amazing! In fact I just ordered one, The Emma, which is her version of a German Chocolate Cake. I can't wait to see my wife's reaction after I present her with the cake. It's a surprise! It will be her birthday Tuesday and German Chocolate is her favorite!

3 star pizza, 5 star calzone…read more My daughter and I were craving deep dish and decided to give Vero's a try. It was our first time visiting. The crust was nice and the bacon was delicious, thick cut, and crispy. That said, the pizza looked a bit thrown together and the sausage tasted underdone, which was surprising considering it took nearly 45 minutes to prep and cook. My son ordered a calzone and was audibly demolishing it. It was very large and he said it tasted great, so that was a plus. Our intention was to dine in and enjoy our meal there, but the very limited seating and the fact that the table is positioned right in front of the register made it feel awkward. We ultimately took our food home to eat. I would not consider this a dine in restaurant. It feels more like a pickup and takeout focused spot. It is definitely on the expensive side. It was about $60 for one pizza and one calzone. Both items were priced as cheese only, so each topping was charged separately. $3 for sausage, $3 for bacon, $2.50 for spinach, etc. The total came out to $37 for the pizza and $19 for the calzone before tax and tip. We might give it another try, but it is unlikely.

For reference this location doesn't do pup cups (who doesn't do pup cups in this day and age???). Instead they charge you for a small vanilla cup of ice cream per pup cup for $2.89 a piece. I ordered a large fudge sundae and the ice cream is good but there's not a ton of fudge for the amount of ice cream. The peanut butter parfait we ordered was good, but I'll stick to blizzards when I come here.

Could not hear the person at all, drove up to the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I was the only person in the drive up so wondered what was taking so long. The front of the store was all torn up and when I drove up didn't see any cars there. When the server finally appeared and handed me a cone with his bare hands, I asked for a napkin. He said they didn't have any napkins. What??!!! no napkins?! I almost gave him back the ice cream. Ridiculous they even attempted to serve food (especially ice cream) with no napkins. This place is from back in the 70's. This store needs to be torn down it is in such bad shape. I will never go there again. It is hard to access as it is behind a Chevron station, and the drive up is so narrow you can see how many times the concrete post has been hit by drivers trying to navigate through. There is no discernable spot to order from, the speakers are not clearly marked. Drive past! go elsewhere!

It is a traditional Mexican bodega and meat market better known as a carniceria. Everyone there is so friendly and they have all of your hard to find Mexican brand goods. The best thing is that they have a full kitchen that serves everything from tacos, burritos, nachos and even menudo on certain days. Fresh hand made tortillas that you can purchase and take home to cook when needed as well. My go to there is the mixta burrito which is a mix of pastor (pork) and carne asada. The burrito is huge and also has beans and rice inside combined with cilantro and onions. Their fresh homemade salsas are to die for! First, the good: when I arrived at the drive thru, I was very quickly greeted and the gal I spoke with was pleasant to interact with. The unfortunate: I was the only car in the drive thru, and although I was able to order and drive up to the window quickly, I then sat at the window for aaaaaaages. By the time I was handed my food, the line was 3 cars deep. I appreciate that they were maybe making the food fresh, but holy smokes I waited forever. It is also worthy to note that the location isn't great. This is not the restaurant's fault, obviously, but it's something to know. The parking lot is ridiculous and I have no idea how there aren't constant accidents.
