Like an idiot, I packed a large external hard drive in a suitcase without taking out the cables from the USB port on the hard drive. Something pushed down on the cable, and bits of the port broke off in my hard drive. Great. After a little research, I found this place. I set up an appointment for a random afternoon which was easy enough. I dropped off the hard drive, paid a ($29 I think) and was on my way. Not too much later, I got a call that my hard drive was ready. The new housing it's in is even better than before, because it's more compact. My problem was more an issue of stupidity rather than major computer malfunction, so the price seemed a bit high. However, my hard drive is in perfect working condition and way more portable, so I can't complain all that much. Most importantly, PJ was really professional, fast and it was a Great Price. I have to thank Yelp for this one. I would have never found this place on my own and would have had to resort to the Geek Squad in my hour of desperation (oh the horror!). read more

Chris you are the Best! I just dropped my laptop the other day! Yes oh Crap. My screen was smashed, cracked and spider webbed. I did not know what to do so i called an friend and this company came highly recommended. So i decided to give them a try since my system was toasted anyway. I went down to Southern New England and they total me they would test all the hardware and get back to me, in case more than just the screen had been damaged which I had not thought about. The called me the next day told me they had tested all the components, Hard drive, ram and stuff and everything passed just needed a new screen. I gave them the ok and then got a call later on that week saying it was ready to be picked up it was just like it had been before the Drop. First of all, what can I say, I love this store. I went there with a file that wasn't working. I will update at the end of this procedure with the outcome. I put my computer on their new back up service, and for support. Let me tell you - they are A+! Do not believe other reviews here that say they are a waist of time - remember there are two sides to EVERY story. I am getting into writing, and they have been hunting down for a novel I lost for the LAST week. I give them credit doing their searches for me, and if it is found or not, They will have a repeat customer with this writer just the way they treated me and attempted to find it. I don't know much about computers but I know a lot about people and I like these people. They treated me like a real person not just another customer that they could get money out of. I don't like walking in to a place and being ignored and that did not happen here. As soon as i entered the building they greeted me and asked if I needed help I did. I was looking for a new laptop and did not want to go to a big box store and get no local support or order it online and hope the screen was not crack when it was arrived. I came Here and Leeanna was helpful nice and sweet she asked me what i would do with the computer if i travel a lot or if it would stay in one place. I brought my laptop in because it was a mess. I have had it for a few years and never had anything done to it. It got so slow and I tried every anti-virus out there. Anti mal-wares didn't work and even on line cleaners didn't work. Then my keyboard started acting up, some letters were missing then some numbers. I had had it at this point, so I brought it in and I am so glad I did. First, it didn't cost me an arm and a leg, because of a new program they have, called, Home Solutions. Second, they found my speed problem and repaired that. Then they had to order a new keyboard and I was on my way in a matter of a few days. After getting home and plugging my new power adapter in, my old mac booted up, made some disturbing noises and died a quick death. Guess she had enough. So being a little upset and thinking the replacement power cord had something to do with the tragic passing of my 10 year old machine, I went back to the SNECS. Even thought I spent almost nothing in their store, they offered to replace my old machine with trade-in they couldn't sell. Luckily it was basically the same model as mine. I thanked my new friends and set off to swap my hard drive out. They didn't have to go above and beyond to satisfy my cheap ass, but they did. My mother board died - I bought a new computer My Account got hacked - I changed my password Verizon locked my account, got the server wrong, and dragged their feet - I was stumped. Enter SNECS who after a month of dealing the intractable Gordian knot of misery that is Verizon managed to get it all straightened out. I could not have done it. I needed a geek like Leeanna and to Her I am eternally grateful. Not the Geek Squad, or any other computer shop (I did try one with negative results) could bring this case to a successful resolution like Leeanna did. My laptop got a wicked nasty bug last week. A friend of mine recommended this place so I gave it a shot. Really glad I did! The staff was friendly and helped me understand how I got the virus. They checked out my laptop and not only fixed the problem but installed anti-virus to prevent this from happening again. After all was said and done, my laptop was running fast again and I was safe from online nasties! Best part? It was ready in a few days! Excellent! They removed the viruses off my computer and did a more thorough job than did Staples did a year previously. They also downloaded a free Microsoft internet protection. My computer internet was redirecting me to sites that I did not search for, but they final disabling virus was an extortion virus that locked my computer screen and said that it could not be removed unless I sent them $$$. I had a terrible experience when my computer crashed and was told by a local computer repair shop its junk buy a new one. So all my work files and family photoswould be lost for good. I ended up calling a local guy Leeanna from SNECs. He was a life saver he came right over saved my stuff i think its called data recovery and gave me a new hard drive. My computer is as good as new and he give me helpful tips on how to save my stuff on the computer. He is a life saver and a great guy and I recommend him and his rates are fair. read more

I have Been in the Computer Field for many years. i was very impressed by the clean and organized building that the have. Nice, friendly techs who know what they are doing. They care about there customers unlike Best Buy or Staples who are just out to make a Quick buck and would sell you sand and tell you it removed virus... Sorry for the Rant... Chris is friendly, no-nonsense, and competent. I had (serious) water damage on my motherboard, and Chris took apart my computer, cleaned it up, replaced the keyboard, and got it running good as new again. He even helped me - as a coutesy - to fix a logon file that had become corrupt. His communication is prompt, and while the repair took slightly longer than I would have liked, he was up-front with me about the amount of time to expect it to take, which was appreciated. read more

In early April, I brought a Compaq desktop that was not performing well to SNECS...mouse freeze...sudden shutdown and other quirks. My laptop would not reboot after Windows 10 downloaded their creative update.
