Woke up this morning to water falling from my closet ceiling. Called Express Plumbing (they did my…read morere-pipe) since they advertise 24/7 emergency service ,I called them at 8:30am it's now 1:15pm and still no call back. When I just called Express to find out what's going on I was asked, " Did they tell you they would call back today?" I realize it's Sunday but I guess I misunderstood the whole 24/7 emergency service statement in your paperwork. At this point my husband wants to hire someone else but the re-pipe job comes with a lifetime warranty. Received a call from Express at 2pm, only 1 tech on but would be sure we were taken tomorrow. 8:05 Monday morning Express called saying the tech is heading my way and everything was all repaired by 9:30. Very apologetic about the issues with communication. Whole experience was inconvenient for us, especially cause it was Super Bowl Sunday and we had to cancel our party but Express came through. Excellent plumbers and still highly recommended. They take care of their customers.

All too often you hear of people having plumbing work done and they pay a lot of money for the…read morework, but the quality of the work isn't up to par with what you would expect. However Express Plumbing isn't like that at all and you'll not be complaining about the finished job. What you'll be scratching your head for is the bill you get for the work they completed. If you are in a crunch and are worried about who will give you a quality finished product but aren't worried about the cost, then Express Plumbing is your choice. If you are on a budget or the job is small I'd reconsider calling them. I would have given them 5 stars for their quality of work, but the 1 star I wanted to give them for their prices brought their rating down. Since I can't give 2.5 stars and I dislike high costs, I had to go with a 2 star rather than a 3 star.

It was then I discovered that the crew broke a memorial stepping stone for my beloved deceased dachshund Strudel. The crew did not tell me about the bad news. They just discarded the memorial off to the side in the grass like trash! I called the company to complain and was transferred to an "owner" who was rude, unprofessional, unconcerned, and decided to scold me for having a memorial stone where the crew did work. Seriously, this is my property and I happened to try and decorate the area adjacent to an ugly septic mound with potted plants and stepping stones. Of course the crew did not perfectly put my decorations back, but that's not what I care about. They broke my property, a simple but special stepping stone, did not notify me, left and then their owner scolded me for having the property where I placed it a few years ago, and scolded me for thinking I had a right to place it there! He never offered to replace the property which is what I would expect the owner of a company to do and at least care that his crew damaged personal property while making a repair. It was a simple paw print stepping stone, but I guess maybe Tropical Plumbing does not care about personal property of their customers while they perform work. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They will wreck your stuff and blame you for having that stuff! From start to finish, Mr. Hippensteel was always available to answer any questions that arose. Always courteous, enthusiastic, and managed this job with excellent professionalism. The best testimonial to this happened on the day after the install. Mr. Hippensteel stopped by to check on his punch out man Nate who was busy inside installing a final return grate. My wife was out in the front yard picking a few bits of insulation out of her prized lawn where the old duct work had been stacked. I then saw him get a battery powered shop vac out of his truck and commence to vacuum my front lawn for the next half hour. That sure amazed me, but speaks volumes about Dane Hippensteel's ethic for customer satisfaction. I also applaud the efforts of Nate, Iron Air Punch out man who came out to install a UV light in the air handler and a new return air vent. He ended up (under the supervision of my wife), looking at each new vent and making sure they were perfectly square to the room. One vent just did not meet my wife's approval so Nate went to Home Depot for a tube of caulk. An hour later he was back and caulked the vent. My wife was pleased. I was amazed. One never showed for the quote, one never got back to me after his inspection, third one was 50% higher price than Iron Air & Heat, fourth quote was within $1000.00 of Iron Air & Heat but I could never reach anyone to answer questions. So why would I let you paint the door the wrong color? For the move-out cleaning, you didn't arrive on time, so no, 8 hours of cleaning were not done. You did spend a good amount of time cleaning my home, but that's what happens when it's one person cleaning a 4-bedroom, 3-bath home. And the house wasn't spotless.
