We got 5-star service from the team that came out; they installed fan speed switches, added outlets, updated electrical to our summer kitchen, put up lights in a bedroom without any and even set up a ghost switch in our closet for a hard-to-reach light switch. They told me it needs a new control board, and they looked up the price. $250 for the board. Gives me a quote for $582 to repair the washer. $332 labor charge??? Then tells me I have to pay him $140 for the service call. Worst part is, it wasn't the control board, it was a small hole in the pressure tube, which I fixed for free. I'll never call this guy again.

Not only did they answer the phone on a Sunday, but scheduled a technician to come out the next day. Awesome! The technician arrived right on schedule, was very pleasant, and determined within seconds of hearing the A/C turn on that it must be the capacitor for the compressor. I've dealt with capacitors a lot in my life as an electrical engineer, so I knew that that should be a cheap fix. Chinese A/C capacitors sell for $25 on Amazon, so even with a small, local company mark-up I was expecting to get away with maybe a hundred bucks, plus the $95 service charge for coming out. To my surprise they charged me $420 for the capacitor, so with the service charge I paid $515 for a capacitor that Amazon sells for $65 (US made, not Chinese). I believe that at this point, the company is taking advantage of customers when they otherwise have to live in 95 degree heat, and I cannot recommend this company at all!

Several hours later it could be restarted and would again run for several hours. Bob had me check the condensate safety float and as soon as I removed it the unit started up. Bob then walked me through how to clean out the drainage line. It was very clogged and after I cleaned it out as he instructed the unit has been fine ever since. I really appreciate that Bob took the time out of his busy day to help me with my problem with no expectation of payment. In my book, that is providing great value.
