The 4 pendant light wiring was tucked away in a clean manner, and he was even able to improvise because my existing light fixture had some metal that needed to be shaved in order to get the desired look. Emilio and his crew from EJC Electricity are the nicest people I have ever I have ever had the pleasure to hire. On first day, I called the number listed on Yelp and spoke with Emilio, he said he could come out to my house in an hour. When he arrived, I explained to him what I needed, (replacement of 1962 electric breaker box), he was very receptive and explained exactly what I would need to do to get the electrical system up to current code. He gave me an estimate and said he would get the permit from the city of Titusville so he could get the work done. To both of our surprise, it only took two days for the permit. He called to schedule the work for the next day. Emilio arrived with his two workers at 8:30 and started the job, which was a complete change out of the electric from the mast on the roof to the circuit breaker box in the house. These gentlemen worked all day taking only a short break for lunch and were able to complete the job by 6:30 that day. The finished product was stellar, they up graded the service from 100 amps to 200 amps, completely changed the meter box and brought it up to code, changed out the breaker box in the house adding additional service availability for future lighting projects, rewired the stove and the drier and added an outlet in the kitchen. Emilio explained each step of the process as the work was being done and answered all of my silly questions along the way. Emilio and his crew were very professional and courteous. The work was done as explained, the clean up at the end was complete and the price was exactly as stated in the estimate, even know additional work was required. I added EJC Electricity to my contact list so if I need additional electrical work done, I can contact them. The reason I gave them 5 Stars is because they wouldn't let me give him more. This company responded to my inquiry on Yelp for an electrician to install a whole house standby generator and transfer switch. If zero stars were an option, I still would have given this company negative 5 stars! They chose a 4:00pm appointment time themselves 4 days in advance. I responded that the appointment time would work for me but that I had a tight schedule on the day they chose, so I would allow a 15 minute window past the appointment time for them to arrive. Emilio from EJC acknowledged this and assured me that the appointment would be kept on time. You see, I believe that this initial interaction is an indication of how the company operates and simply put, if they can't adhere to a previously acknowledged time of arrival, they are likely to NOT perform the required work in accordance with industry standards. It may seem like a trivial thing, but actions speak volumes about how a company conducts themselves. At the very minimum, there should be clear communication between the company and the customer if there are any issues that arise that prevents them from arriving on time. I would have gladly rescheduled. I, along with most customers, am quite flexible provided I have communication from the contractor. In this case, the communication with this company is practically nonexistent. The limited communication I did have was barely one sentence long and sometimes just a word or two. Florida has been overrun by shady contractors simply looking to victimize people and make quick money by leaving a trail of unfinished or shoddy work in their wake. When it comes to extending second chances, why offer one to a company when they didn't even try to make any attempt to foster any effort at the first impression/chance? This company clearly exemplifies all that is wrong with Florida contractors and should be avoided by every consumer unless they have endless time and money to waste on unscrupulous people and companies! read more
