If you're thinking about solar, do yourself a favor and call Dominick or Jason for a quote. They will educate you in person and through their website. Please don't fall for those door knocking companies that try to sell you low interest loans and other items you may not want or need. I met with many companies over a few years before I choose them. We agreed on the system size and price and I asked Dom what they needed for a deposit? I almost fell over when he said "we don't take deposits, just pay us AFTER we finish and you're satisfied". My installation took a day and was completed in December 2024. FPL changed the meter 30 days later and we started sending excess power back to FPl on those sunny days. Dom always stressed using a local company because you will get better and faster service if you have a problem. He was so right! Looking at the ENPHASE App about 10 days ago I noticed one of the panels was producing less than the others and notified Jason. Two days later the crew replaced the faulty panel. Who knows how long it would take if I used a company from another city or state? Go to their website, read their advice, educate yourself about the process and equipment going on roof and meet them in person. You'll be glad you did! Thanks again Florida Solar Design Group! The attached photo is a screen shot showing how much electricity my system generated on an almost perfectly sunny day. It was a cool enough day that my AC didn't run very much, but I did a couple of loads of laundry and i still almost generated more electricity than I used with my solar panels! They did a great job, my system is generating almost the exact amount of electricity that they told me it would generate before I placed my order, and my electric bills are lower than all of my friends' electric bills are. I can't recommend them highly enough.

LAST WORK ON MY ROOF AUG 2025. Tear off started Jan 29, 2025 ... day one started as a disaster from using wrong materials, wrong thickness plywood on decking 15/32" not 5/8", damaging my house to the crew falling through the ceiling 8x and not reporting it to the owner. Failed multiple inspections. Failed to properly lay underlayment, metal roof, prevent leaking from day one, caused extensive damage to my house inside and outside, including many cracked trusses. Refused to repair any damages, hire an engineer per FL building code but is capable of hiring Attys to defend himself. Complaints filed with Collier County, DBPR, and claim with his insurance. If you cannot find any complaints its because they are all covered up ... its amazing how the law protects what the public should be able to find. When hiring a roofer ... do not believe the 5 star reviews, the fact you cannot find any complaints in any county or on the states website ... dig deep and do your research. Just because a roofer has been in business for a long time does not mean they are reputable or do good work. Make sure you are getting the materials that you paid for. Hire an independent inspector, do not rely on the county to do a proper inspection for you. Most counties these days DO NOT get on a ladder. Its impossible to inspect a roof properly if they do not. The ONLY reason we caught everything we did is because I had to tear out my entire ceiling and my house is now gutted. Due to the ongoing leaking issues and Roman Roofing failed to tarp my roof, anything I was trying to save must now come out per the environmental testing report. I do not know how people like this sleep at night, knowing they have taken tens of thousands of dollars to repair a roof, have added hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional damages and just walk away thinking they do not have any responsibility to fix their damages. Do your research ...

We found him and his partner pleasant to work with and have been pleased with the results. We are saving about $100 per month off of what our electric bills would be from FPL without the solar panels, as well as feeling good about taking care of the environment. I also like the way the panels look on the roof. I would not hesitate to use Green City Solar again or to recommend them to others. I know they also do solar heating, though we used them for electricity generating panels. We went with 33 SolarWorld panels, 290 watts each for a 9.5 kW system, with a Solar Edge inverter. The Solar Edge inverters connects to your router and you can monitor the system performance over the Internet. It's been up and running for a few months now and there have been no problems.
