My appointment was scheduled for today Monday at 10 AM, Joshua was punctual, in fact, he arrived ahead of the designated time. This is something I greatly appreciate, as I'm sure you can understand how companies give you that 4 hour window to arrive. Joshua was able to complete the job and provide all the documentation for my HOA . I highly recommend his services for any electrical work, whether it's a small task or a large project; he is the right person for the job.

I hired Bryton Electric because I had used them in the past and trusted them. I contacted them to…read moreinstall an outlet in my garage for charging our electric vehicle. I was initially quoted $400. When the electrician arrived, he explained that because of the distance from the electrical panel, the cost would be $500 instead. We agreed to the new price, and the installation was completed. They knew from the beginning that this outlet was specifically for charging an electric vehicle. About a month later, our EV charger began displaying overheating warnings and stopped charging. When my husband checked the outlet, it was extremely hot to the touch and had gray residue around it that looked like electrical smoke. Concerned for our safety, we researched the issue and contacted another licensed electrician for a second opinion. We were told the outlet that Bryton Electric installed was not the correct type for continuous EV charging and should not have been used for that application because it posed a potential fire hazard. We contacted Bryton Electric, and they agreed to come back and replace the outlet. While they did install the correct EV-rated outlet, they also charged us an additional $175 to correct their own installation mistake. What upsets me most isn't just the extra charge--it's that my family and home were put at risk because the wrong equipment was installed in the first place. I hired a licensed electrical contractor because I expected them to know the proper materials and installation requirements for an EV charging outlet. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bryton Electric. If you're hiring an electrician for an EV charger installation, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about the outlet and components being installed and to verify they are using equipment specifically rated for continuous EV charging. The proper outlet will be marked EV as in photos.

This is to reply to CoHarbor Electric. Your "facts" are incorrect. We did not "change the entire…read moreKitchen design." We decided not to move the stove after all & not install the 2 plug in strips under the cabinets. That is not "changing the entire kitchen design". I have the notice that "Kari Ashford/Owner" sent to Tyler telling him that the permit application was submitted on 9/2 (over 30 days after you received my deposit) but that she was informed by the City that the Signature Affidavit was missing. That signature affidavit requires our Notarized signature as well as the contractor's & we never received it nor signed it. So therefore you could not possibly have the permit from the city, so why am I being charged for it? I also have the refund invoice from CoHarbor which states clearly the Permit fee was $138 Material Restocking $25 (NOT 25%) You are an electrical company so the materials could be reused on another of your commercial or residential job couldn't they? Project preparation & Coordination $530, total= $693.00. You said the $693 only covers 2 things; the permit fee & a 25% restocking fee. So how do you explain the $530 "Project Preparation & Coordination" when NO WORK WAS PERFORMED. The only work was Tyler's initial visit & preparation of an estimate. Isn't this what you do for any job, without charging for it? You also stated that you "met with me in person to review the new design." NO ONE EVER MET WITH ME TO REVIEW THE NEW DESIGN, because there was no new design. Again factually incorrect. You also state that personal technician cell phones are not a channel for project updates. Well then you should tell your technicians not to give out their personal cell phones & not tell customers to call them if they have any questions or concerns. I am disputing the $693.00 you retained.
