    Sloppy Joe sliders

Great atmosphere, great food, and great drinks. The chicken sandwich was delicious, but the Parmesan fries were even better. They had a special for $3 sloppy joe sliders that were good also. The stuffed pepper appetizer was delicious, especially if you like pickled things. Highly recommend.

We decided to get together for a nice place to go and eat dinner. We tried Southern Fare located on 1st St in Oswego. We started out by ordering some drinks. We ordered a drink called the Pear Necessities along with another drink called Yes You Cran. The drinks were nothing short of amazing & incredibly refreshing. Our server, Gabrielle G also was fantastic. She gave great insight as to the items on the menu along with the drink, as well as, desserts. We ordered the pan fried cod along with the fried chicken & chicken sandwiches respectively. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries on top. Last but not least, the ambiance was also just right. Our table was just off the main bar but adequate enough to carry on a nice conversation as well as take in the surrounding area visible through the large windows. If you get the chance, please check out Southern Fare (see pictures). Fantastic place for a night out to eat in Oswego, NY. Enjoy!!

    Smash burger and fries.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, when they offer a limited menu. I got a smash burger and swapped out the chips and got fries instead. There was a white spread on the burger that was delish! service was friendly and attentive. Will try it another time when they have a full menu available.

We were warmly greeted the moment we cleared the door and given our choice of the sprinkling of vacant tables. The area was brightly lit by the afternoon sun and the clean white interior, modernly adorned in what could be described as a comfortable industrial setting. We were provided menus, although we had checked them out online prior to coming. It didn't take us long to settle on going direct for entrees: Shrimp and Grits and an order of the Denver Steak and Fries, medium rare. We found the hosts, Seth and Emily to be fun, smart, and very welcoming. They were excited to recommend dishes and talk about their offerings. Both were very comfortable in their roles, and quick with suggestions of where to visit in Oswego. The Denver steak was good; just what I had wanted. The arugula salad that came with it was simple but awesome with a light Italian style dressing that just exploded with fresh herb flavor. The seasoned fries were excellent and generously sprinkled with grated parmesan. Across the table from me was the Shrimp and Grits. My memory of grits was blown away by this wonderfully cheesy concoction that stood as an island in the most amazing creamy roasted fennel sauce surrounding the plump pink shrimp. I mean this sauce was awesome! This place was a great change of pace and we will surely be back! It was well worth the ninety minute drive to get there. And then we followed Emily's advice to catch the sunset at Breitbeck Park! Just an excellent trip and excellent meal. Thanks to Steph and Emily!!

Wow. All I can say is the food and service was amazing. Stopped in as we were in the area and had no idea what we were in for. We had a few apps/snacks. Frickles, stuffed peppers, and blue point oysters. Moved to the main course. Fried chicken with the sweet jalapeño sauce, strawberry salad with chicken, BLTA, and Brunswick stew. The food was just simply amazing. The server was awesome. I can't recall his name but knew the menu well and the drinks. Asked for what to do in the area and gave us many things to consider. He has an awesome personality. If I ever get back to Oswego this for sure will be a stop at the top of my list. Didn't get all photos of our food.

Cool spot, big on drinks, very small food menu, but the food we had was tasty. Nice crew working that afternoon.

Main Street was my Grandfathers home- Seitz family - this is now part of the Catholic Church) before my Grandfather became a Marine and ended up in Quantico , VA. Lock 1 was a perfect location to pop on in, right by the bridge, to grab a drink and snacks. The appetizers were delicious - we ordered the pretzel, loaded salt potatoes, and tacos. All were impressively good and so filling! We had a great server, very attentive, young guy, sadly I can't recall his name but he was wonderful! We also bought two bottles of Ryze Vodka to bring back home in memory of the location (Phoenix) that started a love affair of two young adults and ultimately created a storybook of family memories from New York to Virginia! Thanks, Lock 1, for being part of my adventure! I hope to return soon.

Once inside, the distillery is to the right, and the bar and dining area is to the left. You seat yourself, then a server will come to your table. We told the girl that we were in a bit of a hurry, and she and her bartender did everything they could to get us our order and make sure we didn't miss any of the concert. There's two huge chalkboards behind the bar, full of specialty drinks they offer. Their food menu is a pretty short list, but everything we ordered was great. I had a cheeseburger, my wife had fish tacos, and our daughter had the chicken sandwich. The two sandwiches came with fries (which were a wee bit on the salty side, but good). We all enjoyed our food, and it was reasonably priced. We will definitely go back there. The concert venue across the driveway was spacious, and had great acoustics. They also have a mini bar inside the venue, but the line moves VERY slowly.

Coming in on a Tuesday night, the place was busy and the wait was about 30 minutes -- but there was free seating at the bar. Fair enough, not many restaurants were even open in Geneva on a Tuesday. The food was solid -- nothing extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either, and the presentation on those big plates is genuinely fun. The lady bartender had her hands full preparing drinks while also serving everyone seated at the bar, including food orders. It was sometimes hard to catch her attention, but overall she did a great job juggling it all. What really bothered me: the owner (CB) is one of the few Master Sommeliers in the world and a big promoter of the FLX wine region (which I love), so can anyone explain why a glass of FLX wine costs about 40% more than a glass of California or even Australian wine? That's not exactly "Think NY, Drink NY" -- despite those charming stickers around the restaurant (which I do love).

The van was comfortable, clean, and roomy, and we had a blast during our jumps between wineries playing DJ and singing along to the glory of the early 200s. Our group had a couple hiccups when the day got started that Zach went above and beyond handling--like our Airbnb door not closing (bizarre, I know!), and Zach was kind enough to help us fix it so we could get on our way. All around wonderful experience; I would not hesitate to book again if (hopefully, when!) I am back in the area. Thank you again, Zach! (Also posted on Google reviews by me).

We knew it was going to be a great trip when we got in and Zak simply asked where do you want to go? We said you are from here take us where you would go. He asked white or red? We said red.. We asked him to pick some cool music and he started with Bob Seger Roll Me Away and we were hooked. And so it began, he took us to smaller wineries with excellent products, good pricing, customer oriented and less crowded. Not a single tourist trap. Zak even put up with me pestering him about the bus, the motor, the restoration - I'm a bike and car nut. He even showed me his friend's beautiful european sports car at one winery.. nice! :) This classic VW Westfalia bus has complete charm, a few rattles, old school seat belts, a few bumps on the stone road and cool tunes; she showed us girls old school cool. This ride was exactly what we hoped for, we loved that we could visit, not sit there listening to some over the top driver bugging us with a bunch of chit chat stories, bragging tales of the area or taking over our day; he just let us have fun and relax. In some of the other reviews they wanted more chit chatty tour guide, not us, we want laid back and not trying to struggle talking to each other over a tour guide. We preferred that the wineries give us the tour we wanted and information at each stop. Zak was so polite, very responsive to answered to winery, sites and local questions we had. We enjoyed that he opened the door for us and took us into the wineries and introduced us to the folks there. The folks at the wineries treated us wonderfully and they seemed to be friends with Zak we felt they went out of the way to take care of us. Overall, I have told everyone I meet that this is the way to tour if you are into laid back, peaceful rides with great places to visit. All 4 of us ladies agree, this was the highlight of our trip; Zak and the the Winewagen exceeded ALL expectations. Thanks again! Kris Atwater Oak Harbor, OH
