This place is a dive. Aside from a very nice deck out front the place is beat. Dirty and dated. Took FOREVER to get our food on a Friday night that didn't seem slammed. Had to have been near an hour. I had a Buffalo chicken pizza which was mystifying. Somehow they had cooked it so that the edge of the crust was the hardest piece of bread I ever put in my mouth- no seriously this thing was rock solid. The rest of the pizza? Soggy as a wet napkin. Mystifying I say. It definitely tasted like Buffalo sauce so there's that. My partner had a burger- she said "it was mid". This restaurant was recommended by a local. We arrived about 6ish and were seated at an outside table as requested. The outside tables were full and the waitresses were busy. It was a beautiful night so it was a pleasure to enjoy it. The waitress took our order for drinks and we ordered immediately after our drinks arrived. I had the fish sandwich with coleslaw and French fries. It was hot and crispy! The fries were not so hot however. Coleslaw was as expected and tasty. My husband had soup, salad and an Italian panini. The soup was delicious and the salad was fresh and crispy. His panini was filled with Italian meats and cheese. Overall, the food was good and prices were reasonable. Service was great and the food was outstanding. I was actually here last night for taking out takeout brought a Ruben home for Peggy. The staff was great. The vibe of the place was great! The one star experience is because the owner was there. He walked around telling everyone he was the owner. There were three tables with kids. All three tables got scolded and the owner watched them like a hawk. The kids were being kids but not being disruptive in any way. I laughed when he started scolding my two-year-old for crying (briefly and not very loudly). I thought he was joking so I started laughing and he looked at me and said "I'm the owner of the place, I'm not joking". In town for a baseball tourney, walked in at 3pm and asked for reservation for 30 for dinner. Manager was so nice and accommodating, letting us know we could come back at 7pm that night. My father in law got the wings and was disappointed that they are serving 8 wings instead of 12 because of the shortage. Weird because we've had wings a few times since being in the area and no one else is doing that. Also, it's weird that they are giving less food and not reducing the price. My father in law got the Caesar salad and it was good, but it wasn't Caesar dressing. He said it was some time of vinaigrette with Parmesan cheese. I had the tuna steak. It was a good size and the Mayo on it was good, but the tuna lacked flavor. The drinks were decent but a little on the small side. First off, I want to mention how impressed I was by the service. I went around lunch on a Sunday during a major local NFL game. It was a bit confusing since we didn't know if we need to seat ourselves, or be seated. After just a few minutes standing looking around, we were helped. Our server was great and returned regularly to check on us, even if the restaurant was hectic. We were able to be seated quickly and the wait for the food wasn't very long. I got the pulled pork nachos and a triple jam cider. While the nachos were delicious, I'd have preferred significantly less coleslaw. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would go back again. read more

Stopped for lunch after a fishing charter. Easy parking, and was seated quickly. Our server was in no hurry and really not very friendly, like she wanted to be somewhere else. There were plenty of waitstaff. Food took a little longer than desired, but not a horrible waitstaff. Food comes out and the server is slinging food on the table, not really paying attention and spills a soup right on me. She brings a cloth, apologizes and offers to bring more water. She didn't offer another soup, we had to ask. She checked back once more and vanished. Had to hunt her down to pay the bill, no discount for the spill at all. Pretty good place right by Lake Ontario. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant seemed like it was starting to get busy, but we managed to grab one of the high tops amongst the windows right away. Within 5 minutes or so, our server came over to take a drink order. They have around 17 beers on tap, all very mainstream and no drink menu that we could see. Our order was taken for drinks and an appetizer, then we waited.. and waited, which makes sense since it was a fairly busy Saturday. The Buffalo chicken nachos were delicious! Whoever made them is an Angel for layering the cheese between EVERY chip :) I got the banana burger and it was delicious! My only qualm with it was that the bun was cold to the touch and there wasn't any tomato or anything on it. Since our server was running around like a madman (we didn't see her the rest of the meal), I was an adult about it and just enjoyed my time there. We all got burgers they brought out all of them except for 1 (a plain cheeseburger) we were told it would be out in a minute. The fries were cold so we asked for new ones. 20 minutes later the burger came out. The fries never came. We asked for the late burger to be comped due to everyone being done eating. Press Box will always hold a special place in my heart. Great bar to come to in the fall for football, great bar to come to in the summer for outdoor seating with a view. It's got a comfortable feel not your typical bar/pub it's never really loud and wild. The food: Burgers-Usually decent but never spectacular. They're often bland, and overall really just nothing great. However..the bacon and blue cheese is by far the best in my opinion because the flavor in those ingredients make up for the blandness of the burger. Buffalo chicken dip- 5/5 this is great if you're a buffalo chicken fan like myself. You get a nice serving of chips and the flavor in the dip is amazing. Buffalo chicken nachos- 100/5 these are essentially the reason for the 4 star review. I've been out of OZ for a while and have had nothing that compares to these. It's become my go-to meal every time I come here. They're absolutely amazing. If an orgasm could be made into something tangible this is what it'd look like. Buffalo chicken fan, not a buffalo chicken fan these are the answer...and probably the cure for a lot of the worlds problems. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I love this place. If you're into sports, the PB has both several large flat screens playing Live games and even individual table flat screens that you can choose your own games from a variety of channels. Full service bar for those wanting more than beer. The food is tasty. The buffalo chicken nachos are awesome (I get them with grilled chicken breast vs fried chicken tenders to make it gluten free). Speaking of which, they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for fries! There's several menu turns that are gluten free or can be made GF. My fave is the baked haddock sandwich (no bun) with GF fries. It's awesome! Theres also several hard ciders (naturally GF) available. I hear the pizza is excellent, but since it's not GF I can't personally comment. There's several copious salad options for those wanting lighter fare. The atmosphere is cozy. Warm propane fireplaces really keep it toasty on cold winter nights. You can sit outside in the summer on the patio. The servers are friendly and efficient. They do a great job for office holiday parties too (think quesadillas, shrimp cocktail, nachos, pizza-if it's on the menu, they'll do it). Was so excited to come here for dinner as my husband and I attended SUNY Oswego in the 90's and were in town to show our son the campus. We were greeted by a very friendly server and seated promptly outside, which was great on a busy Friday night. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was subpar. Our server was very friendly and sweet but service was so slow. We had nachos, a burger, and a fish sandwich. We ordered a refill on drinks when our food came but were done by the time we were served. Bill took a long time too. Food was fine, nothing great. My husband couldn't get another drink until he went up to the bar and asked for it. He went up and paid for it at the bar. No check ins no "is everything ok". Maybe they are understaffed. The menu and decor has a cute baseball/athletic theme, small tvs at every booth table,the food choices have simple and delicious ingredients, and the prices are pretty reasonable! Don't expect dirt cheap but for the quality it is exceptional. My boyfriend and I had a grilled chicken pesto panini on wheat and a classic bacon burger. Both were delicious, and we spent around 25 bucks. TIP- most sandwiches and burgers come with a pickle and potato chips, if you want French fries be prepared to pay a little extra!
