Best root canals I've ever had, and I've had many. NO PAIN, and the good doc talked me through the whole process! This Doc and his assistant are the best. Three roots, and no pain!

I went to get a rout canal today and I was in very much pain to where I was shaking , weak and crying witch means a lot because I don't cry I received a paper that said to take ibuprofen and Tylenol and I followed those directions when I finally couldn't take any more I called the office where they straight up told me that they wouldn't prescribe me any medicine even though on my papers they said I could get them upon request it was the worst experience of my life and I will not be back for now on if I need something done I will be asking my main dentist to refer me somewhere else who actually cares for there patients and there pains

Swelling day after my root canal

Fraudulent billing practices!!!!. Stay clear of the doctor's office!! Here are the details:…read more * On 4/14/2023 at 1:45 PM, I had a root canal performed by Yvette Burns, at Southeastern Endodontics Office in Hamilton Place. * I presented to Southeastern Endodontics 2 dental insurance cards (enclosed Blue Cross and Blue Shield of TN (a private plan) and Blue Cross Blue Shield Network S (an Allstate Employer Plan) for the billing of that service. * I asked the billing receptionist if I owed anything at checkout. She told me I did not, and I was entitled to a credit and she would credit my insurance cards once I had the extraction. All I needed to do was call them once I had it done. * On 7/17/2023, I returned to Southeastern Endodontics or Yvette Burns's office for a 3-month checkup, and it was determined that the root canal was unsuccessful. I had an abscessed tooth that needed to be extracted. They had two active insurances, and I presented them with a 3rd insurance (employer from Go Health, which is UHC Dental insurance (copy enclosed). All three insurances were active. I asked the billing receptionist again if I needed to pay anything. She advised me that I had a credit from them billing my three insurances, and all I needed to do was to inform them when I got the tooth extracted. They would send a credit to the dental office because of overpayment from my insurance companies. * On 8/24/2023, I received an extraction and a temporary bridge from Grater Brainerd Dental. * On 8/24/2023, I called Southeastern Endodontics and informed them that I received an extraction from East Brainerd Dental and that Southeastern Endodontics needed to tell them so they could be sent the credit on my bill. The billing receptionist stated I needed to call them, and I reminded her that her instructions were that after I received the extraction, I was to contact Southeast Endodontics. They would inform the provider, not me. It's the billing job to get the provider, not mine. * On 9/1/2023, I received a bill from Southeastern Endodontics, Yvette Burns office requesting $203.50 from me concerning an extraction on 8/7/2023 (Discount 1/2 due to extraction). I have contacted all my insurance companies, and the Yvettes give different excuses for billing. One office stated that Yvette's office said the process was medical, not dental (but of course, it's dental because the extraction was done at another dentist's office and paid under my dental insurance). I also contacted an attorney who sent this dental office response with this statement as of November 20, 2023. "There are still pending insurance payments that we are awaiting, Any finance charges that had auto populated to the account for non-activity have since been removed. Our office only treats endodontic services and we refer back to the general dentist to coordinate extractions with their office or an oral surgeon if needed. The only notation made of an extraction was listed in the ledger note as an "extraction discount" for our records and possibly misleading to the patient. We have not and do not intend to charge Mr. Henderson for an extraction, only for the services rendered in Dr. Burn's attempt to save tooth #3 by retreatment of a previous root canal. However, on 12/8/2023, I got another bill with charges of $206.55, in which the excess amounts still need to be removed. This fraudulent billing has been going on since August 2023, yet they claim they are still awaiting payment. Stay clear of these crooks!!!!

I had my first root canal recently with Dr. Burns. She and her staff made me feel very comfortable…read morewith their thorough examination and considerate communication every step of the way. I never felt pressured, or rushed into a decision. Nor was I ever left without answers to any of my questions. The staff was very friendly, honest, professional, and accommodating. I highly recommend!
