Very interesting southern Asian food. Everything we ordered is great! The size of the dish is bigger than I expected. Good interior decoration and option with table or bar. Service is great and I recommend do the reservation especially for the weekend. Parking can be find along the street or use the retail garage behind the building.

Great restaurant with amazing food! I hadn't had much Malaysian or Singaporean food before, so I was interested in trying this place out. It did not disappoint! The inside is really cute and aesthetic and the menu has a wide variety of Malaysian, Singaporean, and Thai dishes. I got the curry laksa which was delicious. The portions were very generous too! My fiancé got Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and his sister got the salmon. All were delicious and came out decently quickly. The rice on the Nasi Lemak had a nice coconut flavor. I'd definitely come here again-there were so many dishes on the menu that I want to try next.

I've been to south east impression multiple times but every time the food is so good ! The server was very kind and attentive. We got the tamarind shrimp, Haines chicken, pineapple fried rice, and the roti appetizer. It is a little pricey but it's a nice restaurant with beautiful interior !

I have been to Southeast Impression a handful of times and have loved every single experience. Most recently I went for a friend's bridal party get together; we were able to make a reservation via phone a few days prior for our table of 10 so that was nice! Food: (5 of 5) -Appetizer Platter: great to share with friends and great for you have a small taste of everything -Papaya Salad: was refreshing but could definitely use more heat/spice -Pad Thai: cant go wrong with a classic -Nasi Goreng: topped with a delicious fried egg -Pineapple Fried Rice: presentation was everything!! -Roasted Duck Curry: sweet, great with rice -Pandan Creme Brulee: best dessert on the menu -Mango Sticky Rice: refreshing mango, would order again -My cup of Kopi: their take on an espresso martini, it was amazing, i ended up having 2 that brunch. The service was fantastic, our server was nice and attentive and kept our water glasses filled, and kept asking if we wanted additional drink refills. The ambiance is nice, it has a cozy vibe to it; with some booths and mostly table/chairs. Theirs a full bar so you can order what you like. I would highly recommend for a date night or brunch with friends.

Amazing food, impeccable service from Sean, gorgeous interior. We loved the tom kha soup the best but all the dishes were great. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Very good Thai option! Would definitely return here. Creative and delicious cocktails, food is favorable, and a variety of dessert options. Would make a great celebratory restaurant for special occasions.

I can't wait to come back and try something else off this massive menu. Food was tasty (small negative, the fish was a tad overcooked). Good level of spicy on the duck. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pandan cake was excellent. Service was good. Ambiance was good. Cleanliness was good.

This is one of the places that I've been dying to visit for a while and got lucky that I was able to walk-in without a reservation on a Friday night during prime dinner hours. It was meant to be! Interior is fun, modern & trendy with lively atmosphere. Great for any occasion -- from a birthday celebration to dining solo and sitting at the bar (with a window view)! The parking situation is limited so have patience. Kudos to the bar staff who guided me where to park (Scout on the Circle Apartments or Giant). I originally parked my car at Dunkin Donuts and they warned me that I may want to relocate my vehicle so I don't risk getting towed. As for food, Southeast Impression has a lot of options on the menu and was feeling indecisive. The staff recommended I might try the soft shell crab as this is not a typical dish that you might find elsewhere. Great choice -- the perfect amount of food for someone with a big appetite and bursting with flavor. Below are the ingredients. +Signature Singapore stir-fry chili crab served with tomato, onion, ginger, shallot, garlic, egg -- comes with a side of fried buns and white rice The dish came with four soft shell crabs and although the menu suggests that this item is already spicy as noted by the green chili symbol, the bar staff asked if I liked spicy and brought out a spice rack with four compartments. I customized it by making it spicier by adding the Thai fish sauce with red chilis. There is also a Dungeness crab version though is meant to be shared between two people. I am looking forward to trying one of the cocktails, My Cup of Kopi, and the desserts for my next visit!

Southeast Impression is a really great concept, where you can get traditional dishes from multiple SE asian countries all in one spot! They have a diverse menu of different noodle dishes, curries, soups, rice, and so so many appetizers. Service here was amazing and food came out pretty quickly. For appetizers, we ordered their fried wontons, fried calamari, salmon ceviche, and roti canai. All of them were delicious, but I highly recommend the roti canai because of how buttery the roti was and the curry was absolutely delicious! For mains, we got their pad thai, their panang curry, crab fried rice, pad see eiw, and hokkien mee. Favorites of the night here were definitely their panang curry and crab fried rice! Wish we had room more dessert but everything was so good, I was stuffed by the end.

It was our first time at Southeast impressions and we were definitely impressed! We got a multitude of dishes for just two people because we were too excited and wanted to try everything. Starting up with service, our waiter was super friendly and nice. The food did take a little long, but I'm assuming it's because we got so many dishes. Our favorite dish had to be the Chilean Seabass, Char Kway Teow, a d Roti Canai. You can't skip out on dessert because the Panna cotta was an absolute hit. Definitely coming back to try their other dishes!

Started with the Roti Canai with the chicken curry dip. Significantly more chicken than i was expecting with an app, which is a great surprise. The Crispy Pork was slightly sweet with the peppers adding a nice level of spicy. The Nasi Goreng was a very earthy fried rice dish. The problem here is that there are too many good dishes to choose from. Love this place.

    Massaman Curry, KL Hokkien Mien
    Vincent M.

Yeah this place is gooooood! If you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, this is the spot. The massaman curry was pretty good and was my overall favorite during this visit. The hokkien mien was okay in my opinion, I was not a fan of the shrimp paste sauce with it. The appetizer platter was great to try once and amongst the options, I enjoyed the chicken satay the most especially because of that rich peanut sauce! Service was great and had no complaints! I did try one of their drinks during the night and it was the Rose (something) Milk Tea Cocktail? and it tasted like a rosé + lychee + milk tea. It was good and the foam made it creamy! Ambiance busy busy! So I would recommend securing a reservation ahead of time.

I will never stop going here - I've eaten here more than 5 times and it's consistently delicious so I decided to come here for my birthday dinner this year and the servers were so sweet! Their Christmas decorations also added to the charm. I've never had a bad dish here so you can't go wrong, but I do love their appetizer platter and will quite literally order every single dessert on the menu. Enjoy!

The space is very small, maybe 10 tables. There's some parking that might be available in a small lot across the street and a half block away. I ordered Tom Ka Gai soup with Chicken, and Drunken Noodles with beef. Seems simple enough. And yet, there were three issues with these two dishes. I was really hopeful when they brought out my bowl of soup, mostly because it was a BOWL of soup and not the more typical cup-sized serving. The bad news was that the soup was tasteless. It consisted of a watery broth, some chunks of chicken, and a few mushrooms. (Issue #1). The six of us were two or three spoonfuls into our soups when the waiter brought our entrees. I don't know about you, but I like to finish one course before the next one is brought to my table, and I'm faced with having to decide which dish I want to let get cold. (Issue #2) In this case, the choice seemed obvious. I pushed the bowl of soup away and dug into my Drunken Noodles. Like many people, I typically order Drunken Noodles at Thai restaurants. I've had it dozens of times without any problems. I say "Drunken Noodles," they bring it (usually after I've finished my soup or appetizer), and I enjoy it. That's not what happened this time. This time, it was almost too spicy to eat. It was MUCH spicier than any other Drunken Noodles-es I've had. And I wasn't alone; another one of us could only handle a few bites of her food before giving up. (Issue #3) I may give this place another try, and if I do, my visit will include the advice that I just shared with you at the top of this review.

I had the lunch special here on a Friday and it was pretty darn good. Tastes were authentic but the "spicy" dishes could have used more spice. The lunch special offers 2 sides from among 3 choices: fried spring roll, papaya salad, or tom yum chicken soup. Since I had dining companions, I tried all three. The fried spring roll was average. It was not a fried stick of tasteless goo like at some other places. It had decent structure inside and good flavor, but it was rather plain. The sweet chili sauce on it was average and also had somewhat of an artificial pinkish hue to it. The tom yum chicken soup was similarly average but tasty enough to be satisfying. In my opinion, the papaya salad was the best of these three. It was crisp and fresh tasting, and had a good hint of chili spice to it. For entrees, we had the garlic tofu, drunken noodles, and chicken pad krapow. The garlic tofu came in a ring of undercooked broccoli. It could have been steamed longer or integrated with the cooking of the tofu and sauce. The flavor profile was lighter and less intense than at other Thai restaurants. Both the drunken noodles and the pad krapow delivered with familiar flavors, but underperformed on spice level. They were both denoted on the menu with 2 chili symbols but really came out weak (1 or less on the Universal Thai Spice Scale - UTSS). I'd come back here for the lunch special, or just to try anything else off the full menu, but I'd want to ask the kitchen to up their seasoning to match UTSS standards.

But the place was pretty empty, and I think I can understand why. The food here in my opinion is below average. I ordered a medium spice level Drunken Noodles with Chicken but I swear this was Extra Spicy--this is coming from a person that has a pretty high spice tolerance. Not only that, but it had a very tangy flavor to it as well. I've never had drunken noodles be this tangy. It did not taste right at all. This is one of my go to Thai dishes that I have ordered at many many restaurants. My husband got the Kob Kun Fried Rice. His dish was okay, but sort of strange. They kind of just plopped some crab on top (see pic) and didn't actually mix it into the fried rice. The crab they put on top was kind of cold, while the rest of the dish was hot. I thought that was odd. Even then it was better than my dish. So my husband, who has an higher spice tolerance than me, offered to swap dishes with me but even he could not handle it. It was spicy in a truly unenjoyable way. This sucks because I ordered a medium and they did not take that into account at all when making it. I had to do what I very rarely do--I asked if I could kindly send the dish back and I explained my issue. They were nice enough to let me order something different. I got the green curry with chicken. Sad thing is I got this mild in an effort to not have the spice issue again. However this time, my curry was completely sweet. I do actually like some spice in my thai food so this whole experience really sucked. I feel like I've made better thai curry at home, I will not be going back.

A sign of a good Thai restaurant is their Drunken Noodle & Thai Fried rice. We ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodle medium spicy & Thai Crabmeat fried rice. Let's see if it has wok hei? After 15 mins, our food arrived. The portions for both plates were above average. First the crabmeat fried rice. See the picture. Very colorful. There were large lumps of crabmeat as well as flakes/strands throughout the fried rice. I smell some wok hei. There was a side of spicy Thai lime juice sauce. It was good but odd that it came with the rice. The fried rice was very crabby in flavor and smell. But the taste was missing a little more salt. Here is were you order the Spice Tray. Throw some fish sauce with red Thai chilis. Or, what I did was mix some sweet soy sauce to elevate the flavor profile. Salty and sweet with the fried rice. The star of the show was the Chicken Drunken Noodle. So many flavors of spicy, sweet, salty & herby from the basil. Add some vinegar & chilis along with fish sauce & chilis to give the sour & umami flavors. The noodles were very soft and piping hot, even after 10 mins. Some wok hei too! This is probably one of the best Drunken Noodles in the area. Even my son said it was full of flavor & best he has ever had. Service was good. Our glasses of water were refilled multiple times. It's a little one higher end of moderate but the quality was very good. We found a gem! Definitely recommend & we will be back!
