If you're having a bad day a happy day if you sick and need something hot you need to stop here and get you a big bowl of beef pho to tickles your fancy you will not be disappointed. Now there are other things on the menu too and I definitely will tell you to try to grill pork chops. Oh my goodness the grilled lemongrass pork chops to be exact. The rice is flavorful! I was just out done with this dish. I had the shrimp spring rolls the bai me sandwiches all were yummy. I keep coming back to Saigon consistency and the taste of the broth, Goodness, It is something about it. I still have not put my finger on it yet. I don't need to cause I keep coming back generous portions dining in or carrying out. The customer service is excellent.!!Sunny is a treat and a delight! He's always willing to give you suggestions if you're indecisive or just wanna try something new I would have never tried Taro smoothie it is delicious. If you are a regular, you are always acknowledge and if you're new to them, you will feel welcomed. Go check them out and yes, they are closed on Mondays because I made a mistake of going one day but came back on Tuesday and Thursday. They sometimes are not open at 11:30 so call remember people this is a family owned business they too-need a break! If you wanna try something authentic, you'll come back. Definitely one of my favorite places to go!

We went to blueberry hill next door which was very mid, and after we got out Saigon was open. We had plans today and wasted time waiting for it to open only for Saigon to open after we had the most mid meal at the place next door, sucks that we could've saved time by going to a much better place that was actually open during their advertised hours. A sign on the door or an update to their Facebook page that they haven't posted to since 2013 would've been nice. I'd give 0/5 stars if I could.

I ordered the imperial egg rolls for the table since I had seen them mentioned in several reviews. TLDR: they did not disappoint, I could have easily eaten the entire plate myself. For my entree I went with the Filet Mignon PHO, and it was nothing short of delicious . The broth was tasty, and the portion size was great, especially since I showed up HUNGRY. I love noodles so, on my next visit I will as for extra, as mine seem to always disappear quickly. The Thai tea is also tasty, if you're in to that sort of thing.

Lotus Banh Mi completely changed my opinion of bánh mì…read more I had a pretty forgettable first experience with bánh mì years ago and honestly avoided it after that, but the Veggiecado here was excellent -- fresh bread, crisp veggies, plenty of tofu, and just really well balanced. We also tried the Garden Spring Rolls, which were fresh and especially good with their housemade spicy sauce. The soy-glazed tofu bowl leaned a little sweet for my taste, but adding some hot sauce balanced it out nicely. The biggest surprise might have been the Vietnamese coffee. Rich, bold, not overly sweet, and easily one of the best things we had. Overall, a really solid casual Vietnamese spot in Oak Brook with plenty of flavor and some great meat-free options. I'd absolutely come back for the Veggiecado and coffee alone.

Today we ordered two Korean bbq beef banh mi combos and it comes with a milk tea boba or smoothie of your choice, we opted for a Thai green milk tea with tapioca at 25% sweetness and my husband got a strawberry smoothie with blueberry popping boba. We also ordered the pho dac biet and spicy beef bun bo hue to pair up with our banh mi combos. If I had to give a little feedback I'd say that the banh mi was cold. I'm from Edgewater and we have a lot of banh mi places and I guess I'm just use to the bread being more crisp and having a lot of Vietnamese Mayo. The food is insanely delicious and the portion was very generous. Service was incredible because each employee was very attentive and kind! 10/10 all the way through! Thank you. The restaurant itself is more spacious than I originally expected, but the brown/ tan tones and overall atmosphere of the place was very warm and refreshing. The seating was also very comfortable! The people I had gone with have had Vietnamese food before, but I had never, so I was a bit nervous. The owner/staff were so kind, and one of them had even kindly explained the menu to us. I ended up being a bit basic and got a tofu Bánh mì, but I am nonetheless grateful. The Bánh mì was so refreshing. The vegetables, crispy tofu, and crunchy sandwich bread all complimented each other nicely, and it was truly a one of a kind type of sandwich. Additionally, they had this type of salsa/spread that was super spicy but really delicious. We also got two of their specialty drinks (taro smoothie and banana split smoothie), which were also very tasty. Overall, this was such a wonderful experience, and I am definitely going to come back soon. I recommend this place for everyone, for the menu is simple, the staff is amazing, and the food is divine.
