The inside was clean however upon walking in I smelled no pho which should have been a clue not to order it. The portion of the pho was large but it was very bland and did not taste like any beef pho I've had ever. I frequent many Vietnamese restaurants and unfortunately this one was my least favorite. Three stars are for cleanliness and decent iced coffee.

Looking forward on returning. Kind of hidden in the corner, but convenient parking in the lot. The space is open and inviting, although some music might help it not feel sterile. There is convenient kiosk to order from, with the option to have someone order for you. The drink ordering was not clear, since there is not a selection for all the beverage options. The food came out fast and was brought to our table. It was all prepared beautifully and all fresh ingredients. I appreciated that the tofu Pho was explained to have bone broth and not vegetarian. The food all had wonderful flavor, the only thing I struggled with was the veggie-cado being borderline too salty for me.

The food was delicious and flavorful, the restaurant very clean and the music pleasant. I ordered the ginger chicken pho and shrimp spring rolls. The Pho was a great amount of noodles and chicken for me but someone may require extra chicken. I also added an egg. I love to capture protein in many ways. The shrimp spring rolls were fresh and good. I have been to a lotus bahn mi in Chicago area previously but it has been years. The employees were kind, helpful, and the service fast.

I have been eating at Lotus for years but mainly in their Chicago location. Thai is the first time I ate at this location which has a very nice ambiance with the earthy vibe of wood and plants. It's still a restaurant for a quick meal. You can order on their touch screen which is nice but still leaves room for human error. Now the food is always flavorful which is obviously the most important part of a restaurant. However, for today's bahn mi I ordered jalapeños but sadly they were not on my sandwich which made it less than ideal. The wings were delish and the iced coffee was rich in flavor. But it is highly recommended for Vietnamese food or food that has good flavor in general. Finally, I think the service can be improved a bit.

First time and for me, it was just oaky. Perhaps if the prices were lower I would give a higher rating. I suppose it's Oak Brook so the prices were not surprising but the value in my opinion did not match up. The food was a B. The service was a C. The decor was a B-. If I could give half stars I'd give them a 3.5 (C+/B-). I went with 3 stars coz customer service is huge to me and the lady behind the counter barely cracked a smile. I ordered a bowl of beef pho and a Vietnamese coffee. My friends and I also shared an order of shrimp spring rolls and wings. The Pho was $18+ and the coffee was $6+. This did not include tip which I suppose is optional as you order at the counter. They do bring the food out to you. The Pho flavor was good but mild. And the beef quality was not worth the money. The fried chicken was delicious but the rolls tasted like they had been sitting out for a while (not fresh). The menu was limited, Decor upfront was cute, spacious and clean. But you could see all the big boxes of supplies behind the counter. Would look nicer if they concealed it somewhat. Bathrooms were unisex and needed a cleaning.

Delicious vietnamese food near oak brook mall!!! Came here for lunch, it is order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. They also have vietnamese iced coffee, which is always a plus. The pork house noodle salad came with a lot of pork, good value!

Nice looking place in a busy upscale strip mall. Great service, reasonable prices. Had the chicken pho and really enjoyed it. Ordered at the counter and only a few minutes later the dish was brought to my table. Would definitely go back.

Happy to see a pho place open in the area! We tried their spring roll and the beef pho. Now the pho is simple so don't expect all the different types of meat like the meatball, tripe, etc. Perfect lunch spot for something quick. Really good, super clean aka not greasy and everything is fresh. Ambiance is very chill almost like a spa vibe.

I was excited to try this spot with a group of friends to get some authentic Vietnamese food in a nicely decorated setting. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and clean, with lots of tables for casual seating, quick service, and easy ordering. Prices are a bit on the higher side for Vietnamese food but not overly so and the usual bun, pho, rice bowl, and banh mi options were available, though with a bit less choice than the typical full Vietnamese restaurant. For me, the food here was fresh, but a disappointment -- as in it was quite mild and tempered down from what I'd normally expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. The noodle salads were maybe too much salad and not enough herbs and meat for me. It had all the different components that you'd expect to find in the dish, but maybe if there was more acid in the pickled daikon and carrot, extra cilantro, more basil, additional fish sauce, and the meat were a bit more fatty (I tried both beef and pork), it would've made for a better combination. Instead it felt like an Asian themed salad underneath with some meat on top that felt like more of an afterthought. The pho for me was incredibly mild. The broth barely flavored the noodles for me and had a thin consistency, where I expect a super flavorful, dark, and rich broth that really draws out the flavor of beef meat and an assortment of spices. The cilantro also had its delicate oils completely cooked inside the broth and there was hardly any basil provided. The beef itself was too lean and became a bit overcooked when put inside the broth. Overall, this option is good if you're looking for fast casual Vietnamese food that's a bit more approachable for those newer to the cuisine. But if you're looking for something closer to what you find on Argyle St, this would not meet your needs.

Sunny-side Beef Banh Mi $13.45 (my fav)

Hands down this place has the best banh mi that I dream about coming back to. They're generous on their meats portion, and the bread is soft and fresh. It's just something you have to taste for yourself. Their banh mi are special and as a Viet, I fully approve. The price is bit more than some others but it's fully worth it. No doubt the Banh Mi to get here is Sunny Side Beef $13.45 (must have) which includes a runny egg and THE most amazing soy sauce. I think it might be the same sauce in the Soy Glazed Wings as well $11 (for 6) and always leaving us craving for more. The Honey Grilled Pork banh mi is fully loaded with meat and also delicious $10.45. It has lesser sauce but you can taste the flavor. We love coming here with the fam for some quick eats and plan to come back again to try the rest of the menu. The service is friendly and the food comes out fast. We saw Max on both visit and he really made us feel at home. Did we mention that we really love it here? Overall, this modern Viet cafe is a gem of a place in Oakbrook! (And they also do catering too!)

This is a wonderful place to enjoy Vietnamese food in Oakbrook. The dishes are very flavorful, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they even serve tea, which I really enjoyed. The pho is especially delicious--I highly recommend giving it a try!

I saw this place after a friend of mine wanted to try a new place. This place has great ratings, so I was ready for a great experience. Unfortunately, other than the service, I can't recommend this place over others such as Viet Taste. You order and pay for your food at the counter, and then they bring it to your table. This process was pretty fast, but there were not many people there on a Tuesday night. The food is rather lackluster compared to what the reviews have said. I ordered the chicken curry bowl, and this wasn't very good. They only give a small portion or curry sauce on the side. This wouldn't be too much of a problem except it lacked a strong flavor and resulted in much of the dish being tasteless. The chicken in the dish was pretty good, however, but still lacked the flavor that should have been delivered by the curry. The one thing I agree with compared to the other reviews is that the vegetables are very fresh. While that is true, I didn't order a curry dish for the only highlight to be the vegetables. The springs rolls once again tasted very fresh but barely had anything in them. A majority of the spring roll was a cucumber half, and compared to other places, it wasn't the best. We also received a pork egg roll, which was actually pretty good flavor and texture wise. The pho that my friend had looked very diluted, and after tasting it, my friend was reluctant to finish the bowl. Overall, try it once and see if it fits your taste, but I will look to other places at this point.

After doing some holiday shopping, had a taste for bahn mi and was happy to find this beautiful location. The place itself is super spacious, clean, and had very friendly staff - other reviews specified how kind they are as well which is always great! Anyways, the food itself was very good. The wings were full of flavor, juicy, and crispy. A near perfect combo for wings! The bahn mi was also great! It was huge and full of fresh/crispy veggies and well seasoned meat. The bahn mi baguette was also delicious, crunchy yet soft as expected from that bread. Overall, had a very nice time, I do hope more people can come here! It wasn't very packed when I went but it deserves to be. Lastly, the price was great! For me/my SO, we spent around 45$ for 2 entrees and two sides.

Delicious food. Fresh and flavorful. The ginger chicken banh-mi sandwich was amazing and it was the best Vietnamese iced coffee I've had.

Absolutely delighted that this is now a plant-based restaurant. I had been recommended to go before…read morebut hadn't yet gone. I'm glad I waited because my options expanded to the entire menu, not just a one-off veggie dish!! Everything me and my partner tried was delicious. The service was so welcoming, kind, and hospitable. The place was nearly empty when we arrived and got a couple more tables during our stay. There was music on and off. It didn't feel air conditioned. To meat eaters: I understand the letdown of the menu you once loved changing drastically, and I know, who are you to trust me... but please don't write Luong Loi off completely. Maybe for one of the times when you go out to eat or order food, you can try doing veggie and support this lovely place. :-) For the appetizer, we were recommended the Mushroom Pani Puri. It was savory, great textures, with a very tiny bit of spice. For my partner's entree, he got the Fresh Rice Noodle with Crispy Rolls & Vegan Ribs. He loved it. I tried the vegan rib and it was delicious! For my entree, I got the Half-Moon Tofu Fried Rice with Vegetables & Vegan Sausage. This was so yum, great combo of flavors, savory and smokey, and the eggy crispy tofu was really great! Drink: Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk, brewed at our table with a Vietnamese phin filter that's placed over the cup. Stirred and poured over ice for a cold drink. This was nearly identical to how I make/prefer coffee at home, so it was PERFECTION.

This long standing Vietnamese restaurant has been one of my go-tos for Pho. Recently they switched…read moremanagement (?) and went full on to a vegan menu. Since the change, I've been wanting to give it a try to see how it stacks up to the old place. We went and gave it a try with my wife and her family and i want to say we were all pleasantly surprised. The Pho was rich and filling, the fried rice was very tasty and the appetizers were delicious. Everything was well prepared/presented and fresh. Looking forward to going back and trying some different dishes. We were there on a Saturday for an early dinner and it was starting to get busy. There seemed to be only one waiter, with a couple of sporadic helpers - so wait times may take longer than average. There was a table of an older couple that sat down as we were finishing up. They were taken aback that there was no meat options and could not wrap their heads that it was all vegan. They ended up leaving in a huff. Don't be like these people - have an open mind and your tummy will be generously filled.
