Bagels, sticky buns, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt... so many things - not like super high end stuff, just lots of options. Fruit and take away stuff. It's cozy. The rooms are dated, could use a new comforter. Built in air conditioning units. Shower curtains were leopard, which made me laugh a bit. Free wifi. Felt safe. Clean. Easy parking. Beds were comfy and clean. Desk in the room. TV. Easy access to route 7. Lots near by - food and coffee etc. Overall, Max - you made everything wonderful and I'm telling my friends.

Peace Be Still served our purposes, providing two nights' comfortable and restful sleep. Easy to find and locate. Nothing fancy, it's an older roadside motel. Blue tarp covering a sizable portion of the roof doesn't inspire confidence upon pulling up to the place, but that didn't cause any problems. As for our room, the plumbing worked, the electricity worked, the AC worked (warm summer season stay), the mini refrigerator worked, and the staff was friendly, personable, and professional. No bugs, no insects, no creepy-crawlies, no smells, no odors, no mold, no mildew. No problems or issues! Rates were reasonable. It's not a five-star facility, or even a four-star, but it is what it is and makes no pretenses about it. If we wanted to be picky and overly critical, there was no microwave in the room, my wife thought the beds were a little too soft (they were okay with me), and she also found the water not to her liking either in taste or smell (it's well water; geeez, remember, you're out in the country! she's a city girl). Overall, we were happy and satisfied with our stay at the Peace Be Still Motor Inn. Thank you for your hospitality!

I tried to explain that I wasn't complaining about the noise (car radios blaring and racing motorcycles), but was just asking about a room facing the back of the house. She escalated to banging on our door, and aggressively suggesting that we leave. Not sure what "normal" might look like to her, but that wasn't it. We left, and were able to quickly find lodging outside the area. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

Despite the area this place satisfies my needs of a cozy place to sleep with the added bonus of a fully stocked breakfast home made by the innkeeper, Tina. It was quite a mansion and filled with items that almost reminded There are five rooms and a nice fenced off-street parking lot with assigned parking for each room. The front door is a keyless entry that uses a code provided by Tina before arriving. I stayed at the more inexpensive Oatman room on the second floor which requires sharing a full bath and a half bathroom on the first floor with the Dunphy room. A bit of an inconvenience but definitely manageable and both bathrooms were immaculate and had clean towels and a soap dispenser. For $60 a night, I can't complain. The Oatman room had two twin beds, a desk, dresser and a bit dated TV with VCR. Didn't really mind since the place included free wifi for me to connect my tablet. Also the closet had plenty of hangers and also bathrobes. One thing I should've brought were slippers and perhaps shower shoes. Morning breakfast was great and I got to meet the few other guests as Tina took our orders and made a delicious over easy eggs with ham and blueberry pancakes. There was also the continental breakfast variety of coffee, pastries, and juice but with the more personal touch. I look forward to booking a room again!

It was not perfect, but 4 of us stayed comfortably and we easily could have hosted 4 others although maybe less comfortably. Check-in and service we received were great. We called twice before coming, one call was better (a middle aged male I think) and one was less than optimistic (younger female) but the person did seem to warn us that they would try to get is to our unit by the 4pm check in time. Honestly, I don't fault someone setting expectations correctly so I didn't hold this against them-I prefer truth and by being a little concerned maybe that made me pleasantly surprised when they were prepared to let us in before 4pm (but we did arrive later than we would have had the lady not warned us). Also noteworthy - every conversation we had with guest services were very pleasant and there was ALWAYS someone or multiple people at the desk. This was in early to mid May just to give you context. The unit itself was well appointed if a little tired in some places (couch was a bit dated as were some of the dinning room chairs) but the kitch and baths seemed good, save low water pressure and hot water taking a bit to come up as someone else mentioned. Heating unit was good, never tried the A/C. All the locks, cable/TV, stoves, etc. worked flawlessly (minus a crack in a carafe that must have been there prior to our arrival), we were even able to hook up a streaming stick in one of the units (not the other because of the model of the TV) which helped us enjoy the unit a lot in the evenings. The Pool and Jacuzzi were fantastic. The temp of the Jacuzzi was warm-like it should be-so I do recommend either getting out as advised after 20-30 mins or going into the pool to cool off a bit before going back. I'm sure the timing of our visit was key but our party used the facilities several times before anyone else were using them-I wouldn't expect this but we tried to go at dinner time to have some time to ourselves and we got lucky every time...and that worked well as we are late eaters. The location we are use to because we have stayed down the road at the now closed Bentley Brook (which we loved) and love the location of the resort in Hancock. Due note, for almost anything you have a 15-30 minute drive to Pittsfield, Williamstown, etc. on the East Side of the mountain the place is nesteld or Stephenstown and New Lebanon to the West/Southwest. We have stayed in the Berkshires a lot over the years and really like this quiet area. We tend to take road trips on nice weather days and have been virtually every direction in a circe about 1.5 hours. Other than the obvious close towns of Williamstown, North Adams, Pittsfield, Lenox and New Lebanon (which has a few close decent/good restauants) we recommend day trips to Albany, Great Barrington, Bennington VT and Hudson/Catskill NY. Saratoga and Lake George are a little farther and would require a long day but are doable from there if you are ambitious. Def would stay here again in a few years...but we have been to the Berkshires in most seasons and are good on it now for a bit. Hope this helps someone make the decision.
