I have been missing Tourists the minute I got back home... it was such an amazing experience Loved snow shoeing the day after a big snow storm Loved the cozy room and the big window that I can sit aside to stare at nature. for hours and hours Loved Tourist's very own music list Loved breakfast & great coffee at bed Loved the friendly 24/7 service So many things I loved... Can't wait for another visit

    A great reading nook/daybed.

Our stay at the Tourists was spectacular. We loved the design and the features of the buildings, the bunk beds in our room were a big hit with our children and the curated 'Tourists Radio' piped into our rooms made us feel like we had a cool DJ MCing our stay with classy, mellow, and inspired songs. The pool was cool. The hiking trails with incredible arts installations and a suspension bridge made for relaxing morning and evening walks as well as musical adventures. The hotel's restaurant was not open for dinner during our stay (Th-Sat) but we thought the snacks and breakfast we ordered was divine. The last night of our stay we were serenaded by Clem Snide in a private performance. So many elements of Tourists are thoughtful and creative. Throughout my stay I was in a mellow space - but my wife and I really enjoyed spending time out on our deck in the evening sipping one of the cocktails served by the staff. The staff, let me just say, top notch. Great folks who made us feel at home. Tourists is a great bit of happiness which we look forward to returning!

One of the best new spots in town, and the grounds are so interesting and relaxing. Can't wait to see what they keep doing here!

Stopped by for a quick snack/drink after "free day" at the Mass MOCA and it's was just what I was in the mood for.

Our room was cozy and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. We didn't take advantage of the heated outdoor pool and sauna but were delighted to discover a blues concert happening in Studio9 on the property. Looking forward to returning soon.

I have wanted to visit this inn since it opened. I remember reading all about it…read more It was fine. I feel it was expensive for what it offered. The breakfast that was included in it, though repetitive was fabulous and thoughtful. Bagels, cream cheese, lox, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, fresh juices, coffees and teas. We had 2 breakfasts and took the same things. Bagels, lox and cream cheese, OJ, coffee, eggs. There are a couple. of baked goods that were very disappointing. They should upgrade those definitely. The rooms were fine. We were automatically upgraded to a suite because we paid in advance and went mid-week. The bathroom was lovely, nothing to change. The hallways and rooms were a bit dated. Fresh paint, cool colors, but old. The room AC units were loud too. Was ok but wouldn't return. In the hallways there is great unusual art. Like what you would put into your own home which is cool and unusual. The colors they chose to decorate with were wonderful. But, for example, we had a painted old wooden floor with throw rugs. A bit uneven. Not something I'd ever put into our home. The grounds were very nice. It was nice weather when we were there, and we brought bathing suits but the pool was covered with leaves. They are expanding which is cool. Mass Moca is right there which is nice, and this was very centrally located which is also nice.

The lobby is stunning, with beautiful windows and views, but unfortunately I think that's where the renovation stopped. Our room felt dated, particularly the loud air conditioning unit that kept me up for most of the night (my bad for having forgotten to bring earplugs) and the fake wooden flooring gave the room a particularly sterile feel (though I suppose also makes it easier to clean than carpet flooring?). Oddly enough, the room did have a microwave, which I don't usually see in anything other than long-term stays with a kitchenette. The bathroom was an exercise in cramped, poor design. After standing up to turn on the water for the shower, I immediately banged my head against the metal rack for the towels. The toilet was very low and way too close to the door, so, if you wanted to open or shut the door, you had to stand right up against the sink. The cherry on top was the dark water stains along the bottom of the shower curtain. Amenities: Just the basics with hand soap, lotion, body wash, S&C. We forgot toothpaste but the front desk had us covered. The lady who checked us in and gave me bandaids for my uncomfortable heels at the end of the night was super sweet! Parking lot was free overnight.
