I wanted to leave a better review because the owner was very kind when we checked in and gave us a lot of suggestions for places to go. However the place left us wanting more. The bathroom was redone was very pretty with a round shower and mirror. The room was clean with some weathered furniture (a bit chipped and scuffed), but functional. Coffee in the morning was weak and breakfast left much to be desired, but at least it is offered. The door knob levers on the front of the doors were loose and the doors were not flush to the doorframe so it never felt fully closed. But that is a 4 star review for me. The 3 stars came when I got a follow up charge on my card a day later without warning, and when I called, the owner told me that I had been charged for a missing glass. I told him I did not have the glass and told him where to locate it (in fridge where I left it). He wasn't very nice about it and treated me like I did something wrong. He said he'd call me back and never did. Needless to say, I will not be back. I hope they find that glass. read more

We stayed at the Cozy Corner on our way home from Vermont after reading positive reviews on various travel sites and those reviewers were spot on! The hotel was cute, convenient, comfortable, and super clean. Everything about our stay was perfect -- the room was nicely appointed, the bed was comfy, the shower had great water pressure (that's important to me!), the price was reasonable, there were drinks available in the office, and a nice complimentary continental breakfast with waffles was available in the morning until 10am. The room had both a small microwave and a mini-fridge. The best of all was the innkeepers; they were extremely welcoming and they went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. It made me very happy to support a small family-owned business, too. If you are traveling up in the Berkshires/Williamstown/North Adams area, you will be very happy with the Cozy Corner. This is a terrific place to stay near Williams college. It's inexpensive but it's clean and the bathrooms are great. Really good shower. The gentleman who runs it is kind and helpful and caring. His lovely wife sets up breakfast in the morning - which is free for guests. Honestly this place is a great deal and exactly what we needed. Would definitely return. read more

This is a fantastic location as a starting point to explore MA, VT and NY. I was a bit nervous as I've had some bad experiences at motels, however, the reviews reassured me and I have to agree with them. Very pleasant surprise at how nice the Cozy Corner was. We were there on a Thursday (totally empty) and Friday (started filling up for the weekend) but even when more people were around there was no noise. Sleeping was lovely. The bed was nice, although they didn't give us a blanket and I wasn't quite sure why although the friendly woman checking us in did sort of explain. That's fine for the summer as it was quite warm. The AC worked wonderfully. The room had a hidden fridge (we thought it didn't have one until we randomly opened what we thought was a drawer and there it was) and it worked great. There was a microwave that wasn't super powerful but worked okay once we figured out we had to add extra time. The television was good and they had a list of channels which sadly had been missing in my last few hotel stays. The room was clean but not serviced due to COVID-19 restrictions which was understandable. My only complaint was the bathroom. The sink and shower had a very old faucet system that either went on too fast or was hard to turn off. The shower was a bit of a hassle with how long it took to get to a good temperature due to the two handles. It would also randomly go hot and cold so it really didn't matter if you waited to get the right temperature. I also didn't find it super clean, unlike the rest of the motel room. All in all, we were really pleased with our stay. I would recommend this motel for anyone staying in the area as it was clean, had a great price and was a fantastic starting point for exploring the area. read more

Large room with a comfortable bed, sitting area, microwave and mini fridge. Bathroom small and retro but clean. A hidden gem in the beautiful Berkshire mountains of Williamstown ma. My room was 203 and had a very nice view of the distant mountains. my room was extra clean and the staff (family) was very friendly. They were quick to recommend places to eat and shop. Really old, small motel in Williamstown. You have to remember this is a motel not a hotel. So very dated rooms with slightly dingy accommodations. But for the price and service it was great. Staff was very friendly and even held our bags for us for the morning while we ran out for breakfast since we were on motorcycles. read more

I give this a 5 in Williamstown in this price category -- and I did check out a few of the other local motels that were priced a little higher. The more expensive Fairway Inn or the Williams Inn are new and more luxurious, of course, but for a lot more money (2 or 3 times the price). If you need cleanliness, comfort, and, especially -- a good bed! -- Cozy Corner gets the job done. The bed was unusually conformable, so much so that I inquired about the brand to Sonal, the manager. She said they were testing 3 types: soft, medium, and firm, and that mine was in the middle. She told me the process was taking months, and at checkout she was asking each client for an opinion. How careful and patient. This place is modest but it comes through where it really counts -- the bed you will sleep in. Carpets were new, grouting in bathroom was fresh. The AC was excellent. They take care of the place, in short, and put the money into important things. They try hard and it shows!! A humble and very decent place. More than good -- especially good enough if you want the money to stay in your pocket. Also right near the town border to VT so convenient to Manchester -- an equally interesting place. read more

I don't leave reviews often, but the uncomfortable experience I had here warrants one. The motel itself is decent and I was even allowed to check out an hour late. I initially thought the man working (possibly the owner/manager?) was quite nice, very conversational and understanding. My girlfriend and I had a fine experience staying overnight, but the following morning really soured any good impressions of the place. I went down to get breakfast for both me and my girlfriend as she was still in bed and had been feeling unwell. The options were pretty standard for hotel breakfast. I was setting out a few plates and cups when the man working the night before came in the room, presumably just to see if I needed anything. Instead, he began interrogating me for several minutes about why I had so many cups (4 to be exact), to which I started putting a few away because maybe he didn't want me to waste any? He then told me not to lie to him, and accused me of keeping more people in our room than the two I'd told him (hinting toward children, which I don't have). He even threatened that they have cameras they can check to see if I'm telling the truth. I tried to explain the situation, even saying what I was going to use each cup for, that I was just getting some extra hot water for tea for my sick partner. I told him to please feel free to check any cameras he wanted since I was telling the truth. He said he just wanted me and other customers to be honest with him, since apparently the motel had been seeing some people try to sneak their kids in for a lower price. He eventually apologized and said they'd just been dealing with a lot so he had to make sure of things. While I understand that especially as a small business they don't want to get screwed over, accusing customers of hiding people in their room just because they have a few cups is pretty ridiculous. I felt wildly uncomfortable by the end of all this, like I was somehow unwelcome at a place I was paying to stay at, and left soon after. I hate to leave this review since overall the motel wasn't bad for the price, but I just don't appreciate being made to feel like I'm on trial for a problem I had no part in causing. read more

I booked this motel for a weekend to see my daughter. I cancelled my reservation 5 days before my trip. Through Booking.com I received a confirmation email saying I would not incur a cancellation fee. I checked my bank statement 4 days later to find the Motel had charged me. When I called to ask them to credit me back they informed me they always charge 1 night whether I stay or not, unless I cancelled due to a medical emergency. I reported them to Booking.com and got my bank to dispute the charge. I have stayed here before but I will NEVER stay here again. I'll pay the extra money and stay elsewhere. read more

My friends and I visited williamstown and decided to stay at this lodge/motel during our visit. I have traveled cross country and stayed at different motels but the customer service and cleanliness made our stay enjoyable at this particular location. The bedding is new and clean with a decent breakfast. There are Picnic tables and outdoor furniture. The owner was awesome...even carry our lougage inside. How nice to find an excellent well-maintained motel that is actually run by a sweet, hardworking family and not a corporation! That is what Cozy Corner Motel is in Williamstown, Massachusetts. I stayed here two nights and I am very pleased I chose this place. Not only is the motel run by a family, it is a genuine labor of love and respect. I stayed here in early August, 2022, and outside the rooms there are outdoor chairs for the guests and flower planters all up and down. What a sweet touch! That tells you the attention to detail and respect for their guests at Cozy Corner, a name that suits the place very well. And there's a nice patio under beautiful trees beside a brook. Inside, everything's clean and and comfortable and nicely appointed and well maintained. And very quiet for a good night's sleep. Nice breakfast too - sweet rolls, coffee tea, eggs cereal. We stayed here for a couple nights visiting Williamstown for a friend's wedding. The rooms are not fancy and somewhat dated, but clean and perfectly comfortable, a decent value for the price. The location is next to a very pleasant stream, about a mile outside of town -- not the most convenient though walkable if need be. By itself, I'd rate this a four-star experience. However, what made it really special was the friendliness and hospitality of the (I assume) family that runs the motel. We were greeted warmly at check-in, and felt genuinely welcomed. When checking out we were in a bit of a hurry, and accidentally left a few items in the room including a $200 Kindle; they were very helpful and had it in the mail back to me the very next day. This turned what could have been a stressful and expensive mistake into just a minor hiccup, and was definitely above and beyond what I'd expect of a relatively cheap motel. So for that, Cozy Corner gets five stars and my enthusiastic recommendation. read more

My new favorite bargain motel room in williamstown! Brand new mattress, bed spread and sheets! Carpet too! big room w 2 double beds, a table and chairs, microwave and small fridge. Complimentary bottles of water, snacks and candy kisses! Outside each room has 2 nice Adirondack chairs and a table. The motel is right next to the green river w picnic tables. There is a restaurant right in front of the motel but we didn't get a chance to try it. the willow and the williamstown inn are both near by and their rooms are tiny! Great hotel to lodge during the summer. Regardless if you are visiting friends at a nearby college, or visiting a museum. Cozy corner is in the midst of it all. The hotel is now under new ownership. Revisions are being made accordingly to accommodate the clientele. There is a stream located on the property. Picnic tables and other outdoor furniture were readily available. Grab a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning. Listen to the stream, and ease into the day. Breakfast has a nice selection. Including a waffle maker, and all of the regulars that would come with a continental breakfast. Coffee was nice and strong. Not watered down. Obvious amenities are flatscreen screen tvs, free WiFi ( please change the password. It's way too long ) a comfy mattress. Coffee maker.. With a small fridge to chill your brew. The owners were very polite, and were accommodating to our needs. I'm sure they are open all season. It might be a bit too cold to become acquainted with the stream come winter. Ha!! For the price. We support small businesses and I wanted to like this place and give it a good review as this is our nephew's freshman year so we will be needing a place to stay over the next 4 years. But we won't be booking a stay at the Cozy Corners, even as a last resort. The motel exterior and office seemed cute though dated but we hoped that it was just part of the "cozy" appeal. We got our room key - yes, they still use actual keys! - and entered our room. It was a nice early fall day and they had left the windows open allowing a nice breeze and it made it seem welcoming. The room was about as clean as any other motel room, I wouldn't give it the white glove test, but it would do. The bathroom, shower, sink, tile, etc., haven't been updated in years but if you don't look too close it could be considered retro. The mattress seemed like it was newer, but on the cheap where the coils are obvious, and it felt like the bed tilted slightly towards the head. The head of the bed was against the outlet where the light on the nightstand was plugged in and every time you sat on the bed or moved the light flickered since the outlet was hanging off the wall. Most motels provide convenient places for plugging in chargers - I didn't want to use that outlet for fear of getting shocked. The hotel is lit up at night and very quiet. In the morning, my nephew and I wanted to get some breakfast since it is provided with the room and we had a busy move-in day ahead of us. We went to the office looking forward to it, but we were again disappointed. It was only an hour into their serving time and everything was picked over and messy. There was enough batter for just one waffle so my nephew had that while I looked to see what else I could have. There were a few tiny hard looking danishes, a couple slices of bread, some hard boiled eggs that were already peeled that were sitting in water. I chose a banana, that seemed safe, and poured what was left of the coffee. My nephew tried to get some orange juice and it looked like water more than juice. The counters were a mess - whoever was there before us must have been hungry and in a hurry. The manager/owner (?) that had checked us in the day before came into the breakfast area and looked around, asked if we needed anything - I explained that there wasn't anymore waffle batter or coffee and that the juice looked watery. He opened up a couple machines and looked at them but didn't replenish anything and he didn't seem to be coming back. I feel bad for anyone else that came later than us since there wasn't anything left at that point. We packed up and checked out, disappointed in our experience. But unfortunately it doesn't end there - 2 days later we got a call from the manager/owner and he accused us of making a mess of our room, putting "poop" on the walls. He said he tried to rent the room out but they left so he lost revenue and he wanted to blame us for it and to charge us to make up for it. We said we do not authorize any additional charges as we were not responsible for any such mess. He charged our card an additional $40 despite us not authorizing it (which is illegal). We took further steps and disputed the charge with our bank and cancelled our card so he couldn't continue to charge us for things at his whim. Our future trips to Williamstown will not include a "cozy" stay. read more

Cozy Corner Motel is very affordable with an excellent customer service and very clean room. Our family of four spent a couple of nights there in July. We called to inform about our late check in and the owner asked us to try to be there before 11:00pm. We arrived right before 11:00pm and got greeted warmly at the reception desk. The person also offered to help us bring our luggage to our room. This place is very cute. We stayed at the second floor, the room is large enough to make four of us feel comfortable. The picnic area is very charming. Overall, it is a very nice place to stay with a reasonable rate if you visit Williamstown. And the location is very convenient too. read more
