Negotiations were easy-going, fair and straightforward. I was shopping for a Honda Ridgeline for a little over a month, but most places were either very rigid in their negotiations or it felt like they were running a playbook on me. I didn't have to deal with any of that here, and it didn't feel like they were just trying to squeeze as much juice out of me as they could... I understand that everyone has to make a living, and life in sales is not easy, so I don't necessarily hold it against the other Dealerships, but Bergey's is different. The whole vibe here is easy-going and straightforward and that is as good as it gets in the world of car shopping. It makes sense after we came to find out Bergey's has been in business for a little over 100 years. Their motto is to simply treat others as you would like to be treated. It's that simple and that's how a business earns trust and grows for 100 years. From what I've seen they adhere to that motto. They're a bit of a throwback to simpler times. I had been working all day with the nicest Salesman ever, Owen but when I called back right around 5pm to set up my test drive the next morning he had left for the day. I ended up speaking with the Sales Manager, Joe and I told him that we had gotten to a place where I was ready to take a day off of work to swing up there for a test drive the next day. Then he said "great, I'll put the keys on Owen's desk"... And I chimed in with "Okay, but don't you need me to put a $500-$1,000 hold on the vehicle with my Credit Card to reserve it and ensure nobody else can swipe it out from under me?..." Joe replied "Not at all, I put the keys on his desk and we'll see you tomorrow". It was that simple and that is not the case everywhere else. His word was his bond, simpler times indeed. Jordan was our guy that ran us through all of the paperwork and he made the process a breeze with no pressure to add on this or that, which again is not the norm. Other staff we talked to throughout the day were very pleasant as well and everyone has a good sense of humor too. We got the car that we wanted at a price we could agree on through an essentially painless process, not bad. Ultimately, I think they have set the bar for us in all of our future car buying endeavors. There is a good chance we will see them again down the road.

Steve was the salesman we dealt with, and he was very knowledgeable about the vehicles. he had an engaging personality and we felt like he was a friend who came along as a resource and advocate, not some pushy salesman. The car selection was good quality, including a few vintage cars that would be a collectors dream. After a few stressful days of car shopping in other areas, our trip to Deans was a nice country drive and we arrived impressed with the lot and building. The prices were reasonable, the cars were good quality with low mileage and they are definitely customer centered. Because of his business model of honesty and transparency, it was a pleasure to support this business by buying our car there. To top it off, they filled the tank before we drove off the lot! I looked into it and all it was they were going to pour a $15 bottle of fuel system cleaner into the gas tank. So basically an extra $85 for something a toddler can do. Mugsy's isn't like this. Whatever they suggest and any work they've done, they're very thorough in explaining what needs done and what has been done. Staff is friendly. Overall a great shop if you need anything done

Lehman Volvo of York got our business not only because they had the car we wanted, but because we found that their sales practices centered OUR needs (not theirs!). Our sales consultant Bob Baker worked until late in the night getting things set up for our visit, and did a great job demonstrating all the features of our new Volvo. Sales Manager Wayne Staib also played a big role in getting all our paperwork in order during our visit, and was really great about communicating important information to us via email. Maxine at the front desk was so helpful and pleasant, both over the phone and in person -- she has such a calming and personable energy, and is an excellent public-facing presence for this business. Over the course of a good many years and now 5 Volvos, we have had experience with quite a few of the dealerships in the eastern and central Pennsylvania regions, as well as south and central New Jersey. Among them all, our experience at Lehman Volvo of York was hands-down the very best. I used to be a big fan of this dealership, especially when my car was under warranty however now…read morethat it is not, it seems that things are always wrong with my car when it comes to inspection time. This past August, I took my S-60 to get an oil change and an alignment to Lehman. They came back to me and said I needed almost $3000 dollars in repairs, much of it was required to pass state inspection. It seemed very fishy to me so I resisted getting the service done at that point. I decided I wanted a second opinion on what needed done with my car, especially what was supposed to be necessary in order to pass inspection. I took my car to Apple Ford in York and had them do an inspection on the car. I get service done on my other cars at Apple and I have bought 2 cars from them. I trust Apple. I am glad I took the car there for the inspection because Apple came back with "the car passed inspection with flying colors!". Imagine my surprise when I got that little bit of info when the Volvo dealer was trying to get me to get urgent repairs done to pass inspection. I have paperwork from the Volvo dealer stating what "must be done to pass inspection" and the paperwork from Apple Ford providing it passed inspection with no issues. This review is only on the service department at the York, PA Lehman's Volvo and is not representative of any other departments at the dealership.

I was hesitating whether I should put more budget in a used car or finance a new car. I have been thinking a lot over this issue since I have a limited budget. Fortunately, my colleague introduced me to Aaron who is very knowledgable on car financial. The phycal building has been remodeled and greatly enlarged, however they maintain their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. I took my Tundra for periodic maintenance and an ail change but had to take it back the following day, a Saturday, for a minor issue which was promptly fixed. We'll be getting vehicles from there for however much longer we are around. I hope that Hanover Toyota keeps doing what it's doing!

I was going to just have them do it but no way labor rate was outrageous. So I picked up vehicle did repairs and took back 2 weeks later to just check repairs and put sticker on? So they call I try to say now it needs other parts? They were only supposed to be checking the parts I replaced other inspection was done. Was trying to get more money and got very rude on the phone with me. Picked up vehicle took to other garage and its inspected now no issues. I would second guess these people on repairs very dishonest!
