I was in need of a new vehicle and I have always wanted the Ford Edge ever since my husband and I had test driven one several years ago. My husband had recently purchased a new Ford F-150 from a different Ford dealership that was closer to our house. As we were going through the Ford Certified Warranty and seeing the actual quality of the vehicles on the lot, I found myself wanting a Ford vehicle for the FIRST time in my adult life as I have always been a Nissan owner. We are relatively new to the PA area and the dealership my husband had purchased from was good, but they did not have the model and year I was looking for. I went to a non-Ford dealership just for the sake of convenience and wanting to test drive the newer model. My experience there was very sub-par. I was scheduled to meet with a certain salesperson, but he did not have "time" for us and dumped us on a coworker who had no idea what I was there for nor anything about the vehicle I was about to test drive. Upon initial inspection of the vehicle, not only was the vehicle damaged, but the price was very high with no certification or included warranty. I was feeling a little disheartened so I then searched on Google and found Gene Latta Ford with the 4.8/5 rating. I was skeptical at first as I know sometimes reviews can be fraudulent, but I took the leap and I went onto their website to see if they even had what I was looking for. I was in absolute luck. There was a fresh arrival so I immediately filled out a credit application and email about an inquiry for the vehicle I wanted. Mr. Ken Brittain responded to me promptly the next morning via text which showed me that he even read how I preferred to be contacted (that has never happened to me before - everyone ALWAYS just calls). My experience with him from the first text until I drove off the lot was by far THE BEST experience I have ever encountered at a car dealership. I was absolutely impressed. He took the time to explain every detail of the warranty to me, he actually poured my coffee which was extremely polite, he showed me where their service area was and explained the first oil change was complimentary and even offered to book my appointment if I let him know ahead of time, he showed me how to navigate the sync 3 in my vehicle and even synced my phone. I could tell that he takes great pride in his job and work ethic and it was nothing short of admirable. My husband and I agreed that we will never go to a different dealership and hope that Ken Brittain is there as long as we are in the market for purchasing and trading in vehicles. PHENOMENAL. Every step of my experience was met with responsiveness from the sales team. From Chris Topper responding to my questions via the Internet to Ken Brittain's patience showing me a number of vehicles to meet my needs, I thoroughly enjoyed working with this team. Ken is a rockstar; he is knowledgeable about the vehicles and most importantly to me, he respected my time. He was able to ask a few questions about what I wanted and then to show and speak to me about a number of options and the benefits of each vehicle. Once I had a decision on the vehicle I wanted -- the 2016 Escape SE 2.0L -- he helped me select options and located the exact car I wanted. It was at a nearby dealership. Bait and switch rip off artist. Do your homework before you go!! I received an email on a Saturday stating they had Rangers for 189 a month on a lease. This same email claimed 125% Kelly blue book value for your trade. So like a fool i went down the very next Monday, only 1 business day later to be told we don't have any of those rangers the cheapest they had was 239. OK maybe they sold the one they had on the lot on Saturday. So still was OK with that. while I test drove their truck they valued my jeep. Having checked Kelly before going down there my jeeps trade in value was $36,000 so 125% of that would be $45,000. Well they told me the most they could give me was $34,000. That 2,000 below blue book value. Keep in mind this jeep only had 6,000 miles on it and was brand new. Talk about a rip off. This is not the first time they have tried to low ball me on my vehicle value. I had an F150 they only wanted to give me $20,000 for a trade. I went to apple jeep and they offered me $25,500 for the very same truck before we even talked about a vehicle from them. I have bought 4 vehicles from Gene Latta over the last 10 years and I used to recommend them to everyone but not any more. The past 2 times I've been there this year they have tried to rip me off every chance they get. Watch them close or they will rip you off too! read more

I had recently lost my previous car in an accident and was looking for a car that would fit me and fill the space. I started my day at a dealer that treated me like absolute crap, forgot my name, insulted my knowledge of my own credit. On top of that they tried to sell me a car way above market value. Me and my fiancé left disgusted at the way we were treated and she recommended coming to Gene Latta. Her grandfather had purchased a car here before and suggested giving it a visit. The second we came in we were greeted and found a salesperson, who happened to be Tom. Tom treated us with respect, shook our hands and especially made sure he always knew our names. On top of that he discussed our budget and instead of trying to get the most money from us, he found the best deal and fit. We took a test drive in the focus and Tom made sure to detail all the features of the car. I fell in love with it. When it came down to crunching numbers and paperwork, Tom made sure everything was outlined and understood. From the second I came in to the second I left I felt fully in control and fully informed of my decision. I am very happy with the service I received and the car I got, especially the price. I cannot say enough about Gene Latta Ford, and Ken (our salesperson). After spending several days looking at cars at other dealerships in Doylestown, PA and Vienna, VA, and thinking that car shopping was a nightmare, we took one last stab and drove to Hanover. What a terrific experience. The car that we had called about was awaiting our arrival (unlike the Ford Dealer in Doylestown!), it was meticulously detailed, and everything about the car was explained to us by Ken. There was no rush, no high tactic sales pitches, no "give us your money up front" if you want to buy the car. The experience was pleasant, right down to the final paperwork. Recently, I had some issues with an invoice I received for services at Gene Latta Ford. I contacted management regarding these concerns and was directed to Service Director, Troy Groft. He invited me to the dealership and allowed me to explain the problems I encountered. He took the time to discuss each issue and even had a service mechanic place my vehicle on a lift to view one of the work services that I questioned. Mr. Groft indicated a desire to work with me to resolve all issues, including a credit for a tire rotation expense, since I had originally purchased tires from the dealership and this should have been free. read more
