I was told that the module I had installed was incorrect and that the issue could not be resolved without replacing it, and I was quoted approximately $2,300 for the repair. The truck is now functioning properly with the same module that the dealership told me was incorrect.

After receiving a text about the needed repairs, I tried calling the service department 5 times to confirm they had the parts in stock and could finish today. Every call went straight to voicemail. I worked with Amy Davis on the acquisition. She was professional, pleasant, and got back to me timely. They had two guys show up at my house with paperwork, a check, one guy drove my car back to their dealership. It's a class act dealership, and I'll consider driving out there to buy a new vehicle next time I need one. I like dealing with good people. Things I wish I knew. I had a loan with Honda on the vehicle that they paid off directly and just under a $1000 over that they wrote me a check from their dealership for. Both cleared :) . I sold them the vehicle on 9/8/2026, my outstanding balance at Honda was just cancelled this morning, 9/17/2026. The physical check cleared the next day. They have you sign quite a few documents, two of which were power of attorney documents specifically regarding the vehicle. It gives the dealership the right to act as you, so they can sell the vehicle before they have the physical title. After a quick ChatGPT search, it turns out this is normal in PA, but my heart skipped few beats when I saw it, so I'm hoping to save you some heartache. I hope this helps!

As a customer for the last five years, I'm surprised by the some of the bad reviews for this…read morebusiness. I have had nothing but good experiences with Liberty. It is a family owned and run business. They must be doing something right when there is a two week waiting period for work to be done. I have had them perform brake replacements, oil changes and inspections. The work has always been top notch with no issues. There was only one time I had a minor issue with an oil change. After the oil change, I noticed there was a small amount of oil leaking from my oil pan. I brought the car back to them and they found that the oil drain plug washer had a split in it. They promptly replaced the washer and any lost oil at no charge. They stood behind their work and admitted the mistake. That's the kind of service and company I want to do business with. While their prices may not be the cheapest, they certainly are not the highest. I have found their prices to be fair and reasonable. The work and parts are of excellent quality. I recently purchased a gift card from Liberty for my son because he needed new tires for his pick up truck. He told me that Liberty's tire prices were hundreds of dollars cheaper than a shop he had been using previously. The shop has six car bays for repairs. They not only sell tires, but they perform many types of auto repais, including A/C repairs, engine repairs, brakes, exhaust, electrical/wiring, etc. Their is a samall waiting area if you want to wait for your vehicle. They have a large parking lot to hold plenty of vehicles. They also offer to loan you a car when available if needed, to allow customers to use it if needed to get to work or home. I don't know of other repair shops that offer that kind of service. If you can't bring the car to the shop the day of repairs, you can drop if off the evening/night before and drop your key into an envelope and key box with instructions of what needs to be done. I wholeheartedly and easily recommend this business.

Sometimes, despite our best efforts to believe the best in people, we encounter situations where…read moreopportunities for communication and doing the right thing simply aren't embraced. Back in October, I purchased a car at a dealership that came highly recommended. My daughter is friends with the owner's son, and I have a mutual friend with the owner. The initial experience was excellent--I received reassuring messages like "let me know if you need anything" and "call me if you don't think you're getting a good deal." BUT... I drove off the lot in my cute little whip and IMMEDIATELY noticed my gas gauge fluctuating between empty and full. I texted my sales guy right away--I mean, I had JUST pulled off the lot. I stayed in communication over the next several weeks. Around Thanksgiving, I took my car to their recommended shop, which confirmed my fuel pump needed replaced. I double-checked that the dealership would handle the bill, and they ordered the part. December: I'm back in town for Christmas. Wrong fuel pump was sent. January: Trip canceled due to PA winter weather. February: Finally back. Fuel pump replaced, but surprise--I'm told I owe $288 for a "deductible and taxes" I never anticipated. I called my sales guy. No answer. I called the dealership and got Chad, the owner. And this is where it goes downhill fast. I have no idea if someone pissed in his Cheerios that morning or if this is standard behavior. And I rarely play this card, but I genuinely believe had I not been a woman, this conversation would have gone differently. I wish I could accurately convey the condescending tone of this man's voice. He was rude, talked down to me, and was inexplicably angry. Chad claims: "If it was the fuel pump, you wouldn't have been able to drive it off the lot." Reality: This was precisely the diagnosed problem according to THE SHOP HE SENT ME TO. Then he goes: "I don't know what you people expect. It's only a hundred dollars. Some people are never happy." Then he HUNG UP ON ME. Like a child who can't regulate his emotions. My not-so-happy self drove straight to Final Drive to address this in person. Guess who wasn't there? Chad. Guess who was? Justin, who spent the next ten minutes trying to manipulate the conversation by listing everything he'd done for me--fixing the backup camera, calling the warranty company repeatedly. I asked Justin directly: "If we'd noticed the gas gauge wasn't working before I drove off the lot, would you have fixed it?" "Yes," he admitted. "According to Chad, it's 'only $100'--bottom line, are you going to cover that?" "No." LESSONS LEARNED 1. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. I should have texted Justin to document his response that there would be no out-of-pocket costs. 2. ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS ABOUT COSTS. Even when someone says they'll "handle it," clarify exactly what that means and what potential costs might still fall to you. 3. DEALERSHIP OWNERS AREN'T ALWAYS ACCOUNTABLE. Chad had an opportunity to listen and communicate effectively. Instead, he chose disrespect. Kindness goes a long way in business, but some people only care about the initial sale. Don't let this happen to you. Document everything, ask detailed questions about costs, and research dealership reviews thoroughly--especially regarding their after-sale service. Not that I did any of those things prior to my purchase. I assumed that my second degree of separation through friends who had personally communicated to the owner and his son would have sufficed. It didn't. #ConsumerAlert #CarDealershipWarning #CustomerService
