I worked with Amy Davis on the acquisition. She was professional, pleasant, and got back to me timely. They had two guys show up at my house with paperwork, a check, one guy drove my car back to their dealership. It's a class act dealership, and I'll consider driving out there to buy a new vehicle next time I need one. I like dealing with good people. Things I wish I knew. I had a loan with Honda on the vehicle that they paid off directly and just under a $1000 over that they wrote me a check from their dealership for. Both cleared :) . I sold them the vehicle on 9/8/2026, my outstanding balance at Honda was just cancelled this morning, 9/17/2026. The physical check cleared the next day. They have you sign quite a few documents, two of which were power of attorney documents specifically regarding the vehicle. It gives the dealership the right to act as you, so they can sell the vehicle before they have the physical title. After a quick ChatGPT search, it turns out this is normal in PA, but my heart skipped few beats when I saw it, so I'm hoping to save you some heartache. I hope this helps! read more

I recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership on August 28, 2026. Unfortunately, I left very disappointed with how the financing process was handled and my overall buying experience. From the beginning, I clearly explained that my goal was to reduce my vehicle debt and monthly payments. My existing Kia loan was under $21,000, and the initial worksheet I signed showed an amount financed of $21,067.45 I did agree to the warranty and GAP/insurance products offered. However, they were primarily presented in terms of their impact on my monthly payment, with the monthly amount t being written in pen on the initial worksheet. I was not clearly shown their total cost or how they would change the overall amount financed. After the purchase, I discovered that my actual bank loan was $23,835.06 in addition to my $2,500 down payment - meaning I committed $26,335.06 toward the vehicle before interest. This was significantly more than I intended to finance and directly contradicted the financial goal I had communicated to each individual I interacted with in the process. What concerns me most is the closing process. The dealership was nearing closing, and when we entered the finance office, we were told, "this will go very quick" We were then given a stack of documents to review and sign. The increase from $21,067.45 to $23,835.06, not including the down payment, was not specifically pointed out or explained, nor was the total cost of the additional products clearly reviewed with us. Had I been made aware of the increase, I would have stopped the transaction immediately. I am disappointed because I entered this purchase in good faith, clearly outlined my financial objectives, and trusted the finance team and advisors to clearly explain the final numbers. This dealership states they take pride in transparency and fair pricing, but unfortunately my experience was the exact opposite of these values. DO NOT buy any car from this dealership you will regret it! I bought a Jeep Cherokee from here and had it for about 6 months before they had to replace the engine. Not rotators, spark plugs, something small but a whole engine. It was there just about 2 months so I was without a car and they only gave me a rental for 10 days. You can't make this stuff up. And to make it better I had to pay for them to fix the LEMON they sold me. If they did this to me they will definitely do it to you go somewhere else! Was looking at a used 2025 Buick encore gx for my daughter. Stopped by and talked to Barry (salesman) on Thursday 5/15/25. Made an appointment for Saturday 5/17/25 at noon for my daughter to look at car. On Friday I received numerous text messages and two phone calls asking me to fill out a credit application and application for trade in for my daughter's car. I spoke to Barry Friday afternoon and he offered to hold car until we got there Saturday. Saturday morning at 11am, I received several texts asking if I was coming to look at car. When we showed up Barry wasn't available but another salesman -Jessie offered to help. I thought it was strange that the salesmen were all dressed in very UNPROFESSIONAL jeans and t-shirts but wanted to look at the car.The car was filthy but we still took it for a test drive. After the test drive we were asked to come inside and fill out a trade in questionnaire (even though I already filled one out on friday). After about 10 minutes some guy named Taxis Dowlahan who claimed to be a sales manager told us the car was already sold this morning. I explained that we were told the car was going to be held for us and I received several texts messages asking about our appointment at noon. He claimed it was a "system error " and offered us a 2019 Mazda with 50,000 miles on it for the same price!! I(My daughter was in tears and couldn't understand how a business could be so unscrupulous!!) I explained to Taxis that's not acceptable and he needs to go on his computer and find us something comparable with less than 5000 miles like the Buick we were looking at. He claimed he "wasn't authorized" to do that. We Thanked him for wasting our time and proceeded to buy a brand new 2025 Buick at Fred Beans Buick!! Pros: Jason , my salesman, was great! Made the process very easy and was comfortable to work with during the purchase process. Cons: I had to fight tooth and nail for a spare key, which I presumed came with the vehicle. I've bought five cars in my life and every single one came with a spare. When I asked about it, after the sale, they initially wanted to charge me $100 (at cost to them). After going around in circles for a few days, I finally got them to agree to provide one to me at no cost. My 19 year old niece bought a car from them a few weeks later and she's in the process of fighting it out with them too, though they wanted to charge her $200. It's such a weird hill for them to die on, just poor customer service to people who just made a major purchase. My family has bought six cars from them in the last two years and we have always highly recommended them to other people, but it's questionable if we will still do this in the future pending on the outcome of my niece's request for a key. Do not go here!!!!!!!!!! I wish I never came here! I bought a car and not even a week later, it has brakes problem and noises that is not normal for a 'newly' inspected car. I guarantee it if these things didn't go wrong the first week I bought it, they would've told me it's normal 'wear and tear' usage and I would have to pay out of pocket. I'm sure there are other 'shortcuts' they took to pass inspection and make a sale. I was contacted about buying my car through a post I had on facebook marketplace. Bob Ruth ford offered me a substantially higher price than I was getting offered through other companies. They drove 5 hours to come get my car and drove it back. I received my equity check and bill of sale when they came to take it. And they handed the payoff with my bank afterwards. Their specialist John Herbston walked me through everything over the phone, and was great to work with. I was not haggled on anything whatsoever. It was the the easiest process you could ever imagine compared to other places. I didn't even have to leave my house once for the whole transaction, and it was all very professional. I even received a helping hand afterwards from Matt Freeman; regarding my payoff information. I know it can sound sketchy selling your car that way but these people are the pros. The purchase of the vehicle was smooth, my salesman was easy to deal with. No complaints there. However, my problem comes when I had my mechanic look it over. He reported that the brakes were at the point that they would be recommended to be replaced. It had been inspected by Bob Ruth and passed state inspection before I purchased it. Within the first 60 days and with less than 1500 miles of owning the vehicle I brought it back to Bob Ruth. They acknowledged that they would recommend replacing the pads, however due to other work they put in and the fact that it met minimum standards from the state, it passed, and they would not replace the pads. Essentially, they felt they had already put enough money into it. To me, while it meets PA standards, this is not the right way to do business. If you are going to recommend to a customer that the brakes need replaced, but are unwilling to do it before you sell a vehicle, you should be willing to get it up to the standard you'd recommend a customer have it. I will not purchase another vehicle from them again nor will I take my vehicle to them for service. Incredibly disappointed. read more
