I usually go elsewhere, but this place was covered by my insurance--only for me to end up paying $700 for lenses I was quoted $250 for, and another $600 for contacts. The environment is unprofessional and rude. On Wednesdays, there's an older gentleman doctor who is excellent--he's efficient and respectful of your time. But on other days, the younger doctor is completely unprofessional. I waited over an hour and a half after my appointment while he stood around watching a patient try on glasses. He didn't introduce himself, was cold, and made the entire experience uncomfortable. If you want to feel uncomfortable, go here. If you want to feel valued--go somewhere else.

My sales rep told me she'd talk to a manager and see what she could do. Later that evening I received a phonecall that they will cover my frame and that they were actively looking to find the ones I had and if not, they'd select something similar and to give them a day or two. One day later I have my glasses back and pretty awesome Ralph Lauren frames. Honestly, some of the best customer service I've been provided in a long time!! I have never been so disregarded by a health "professional" in my life. He seems to have his "skit" memorized and he quickly spits it out without any friendliness or respect for the patient in front of him. The bifocal is only a tiny little thing on the glasses, which is another problem and they will do nothing to help me other than charging me more money. I will never use them again

Every step was delayed because staff had to "look up" basic insurance information that should've been verified before the appointment. What's worse, you can't even schedule an appointment without providing your insurance details in advance -- so why isn't it ready when you arrive? It's beyond frustrating. Sadly, many of us are stuck coming here because it's the only provider our companies contract with -- chosen for cost, not quality. The result? Slow, disorganized, and subpar service. Patients deserve better than this.

He eventually suggested that I go to their sister store in Holbrook because they had a better variety of frames to choose from, which I did. Dr Cardone is. My family and I have been in Dr Cardones care for nearly 5 yrs now. Shes extremely professional, gives a very thorough exam with the latest equipment. Everything is ALWAYS clean and she has access to all the latest and greatest lens and glasses. She is FIVE STARS. People leaving this practice a 1 star should be ashamed of themselves. This is an optometry office not a vacation resort. Next they'll be saying they're upset there are no refreshments served.
