I just had to walk out of my appointment today being called a thief. I took no prescription from them so what am I exactly stealing? They said their time as if their time is any more important than anyone else else's time. They think they're better than everyone else and can take everyone's money. They tried to charge me over $1000 for a year supply of contacts. When I asked why so much Mike said they are $120 a 90 pack box, which equals $960. I looked up the price of the contacts I wanted. Bausch and Lomb Bio True and they are $60 a 90 pack box which is $480 for the year. Which is exactly how much I paid last year before I got the rebate with Dr. Modesto. They tried to charge me double. When I called Mike out on it he said you can just do the contact lens exam which will be $300, I've never had to pay that price with Dr. Modesto because it was included since I bought the lens from the provider. I even used my last pair of contacts for their exam, they couldn't even provide a fitting without using my property. I explained that to them as it was on the piece of paper from my insurance company that they gave me. They made up a baloney price after I didn't want to buy the contact lens through them. So Mike called his coworker over and they both said that's what the website says, so I asked them what CPT codes are you billing and they both said they are not sure. Upon further investigating, they found out that they were charging me $80 for a regular glasses lens exam even though it's 100% covered under my insurance, even if I didn't get framed lens from them unlike contact lenses, which the exam is covered if I buy them from the provider, which is on the paperwork, they gave me from my insurance as I explained to them. So I walked out saying I don't need anything from you guys and they called me a thief for stealing I said what exactly am I stealing. I have no prescription from you and they said their time as if their time is any more valuable than the rest of societies. Also if anyone has fallen victim to their scam, I'm sorry but you got robbed because this place steals as they are the thieves.

    I went here for blepheritis - Dr told me to use baby shampoo on my eyelid w/a q-tip - that lasted 2…read moreweeks. I went back to cleaning my lids really well & continued using visine. I guess there's no medicine to clear it up. But, my score is as a spectator of the following, who may/may not return: I drove someone here for dilation. I was told to inquire about an upgraded procedure that costs $30 extra-well worth it. I asked the front-desk staff, she told me to ask the treating staff. I told her I was asking her, so we could find out the fees & pay for it. She was useless & made no attempt to find out. Registration - all pts are sent to the kiosk. I did it for the patient. We waited about 20 minutes then were called in. I stayed in the lobby for the show! In walks a patient (most were elderly); she was w/someone, who helped her at the kiosk. Had they bit their tongue, I might've offered to help - but I didn't want their smoke . This woman let them have it so well - the fact that they wouldn't bill her the copayment, she couldn't register at the kiosk w/o help, she said she's there because she can't see! I mean, the front desk was useless & the lead or mgr justified their laziness. She showed no care for the patient. Hopefully they fix their issues. You should be extra gentle with the elder community. And more helpful when it comes to using the advanced technology. The staff at the front desk should be ashamed.

I understand that Dr's offices are busy, but to wait for months to get an appt, and then to finally get in and feel rushed and uncared for was very upsetting. go someplace else where people care. That's what I'm going to do.
