Outside table, my lovely wife and our panini and cup of soup

Located right on the street as you head to the market from the south you can enjoy lunch awhile looking up at the Belfort tower. There are tables indoors as well as several on the street. Serrano Panini - Decent panini but there was a need for some acidity to break up the monotony Mixed vegetables soup - Leek, tomato, onion, eggplant, zucchini - This was an amazing soup. Yes it is summer, but I could eat this soup every day. The fruit and bread that came with it was a nice surprise 14 Euro for a sandwich and a cup of soup, but you can't beat the location. I highly recommend this as a good stop while walking around Brugge!

What a fantastic place! Yes it is very small but I would call it quaint! There are usually 2 or 3 soups available that are made from SCRATCH and they definitely deliver on taste. You get a large bowl with a cup of shredded cheese , crouton crackers, slice of bread with butter and some fruit for about 9 euro. They have combo with sandwich but the sandwich was huge so I just went for the soup only. Definitely a must stop when in the beautiful city of Brugges.

The leek soup was creamy, delicious, and just like your Belgian grandmother used to make! And the accompanying 1/2 panini was no less delightful, as was the bread and butter. A lovely quiet spot just off the Grote Markt!

After a long night of Belgian beer tasting, I wanted something easy on the stomach, but delicious. Soup was perfect! I went with the lunch special: Mushroom Soup with a panini. Everything was delicious! **Note: They are closed on Wednesday. Update: Returned for another visit and it was just as excellent!

Soup is a great spot to grab a quick, cheap, and tasty lunch near the Belfry Tower. My husband, sister and I ordered the lunch special which included a bowl of soup of our choice with cheese and crouton garnishes, 1/2 of a panini sandwich of our choice, bread and butter, and a small cup of strawberries. The lunch special is a great deal at only 8.5€. There are about half a dozen paninis and three or four soups on the menu. I selected the tomato soup and a goat cheese panini for the lunch special and loved the soup and sandwich. We almost ate here again, but we had scheduled a beer tour on the other side of town so we didn't get the chance to have lunch here a second time. Would highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a cheap and delicious lunch near Market Square and the Belfry.

Great place to grab a quick meal under 10 euro. It's nothing fancy, but it was tasty and served fast. Expect options like ham and cheese or caprese for sandwiches, and potato-leek or chicken noodle for soups. It was also served with free bread and shredded cheese, making it extra filling for the value. We were all quite happy with our soups and sandwiches. It's located down a picturesque little alley close to the major sights, and there's outdoor seating if the weather's nice. It's a smaller place so I wouldn't roll in with a whole tour group, and I would go on the earlier side if you can.

What a great spot to grab a warm bowl of soup on a cold day! Made fresh. It was delicious. The sandwich was really good too. Small space, nice people working the front, good food made within minutes. LOVED the pumpkin soup.

This is a teeny tiny place, but huge on quality & value. I mean, it is really small. Feels like you're eating at someone's kitchen table. You order at the counter, grab a seat and they bring the food out to you. We each had a combo for about 9€ each. The beer is cheap too. The combo comes with a large bowl of soup, 1/2 a panini, bread , butter, croutons, parm cheese, and a banana. The soup without the panini is enough, but we are fatties. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. We had both the tomato & the leek soup, fantastic! The paninis were awesome as well. Their bread is the bomb! I could eat that bread all day, every day. They are only open for lunch, so don't hesitate.

If you want quick and easy lunch in Bruges, come here. It's a soup and sandwich joint. The food comes fast (unlike most Belgian meals that take two hours). The soup is a generous portion and comes with bread, butter, and strawberries. I had the tomato and it was great (came with some Parmesan and little croutons too). They offer a half panini and soup option too, but make note that this is an entire portion of soup with half a panini (not 1/2 and 1/2). This was a much needed break in the Belgian food tour - a meal without frites!

Lovely soup with a panini and a few strawberries as dessert, while sitting in the sun in a quiet side street of the "grote markt" and sipping a good old "Brugse Zot" beer. Highly recommended, even if there is a little wait!

Small delightful spot with very fresh, delicately flavoured soups and sandwiches. Delicious! The owner herself took our order. I had the cauliflower soup and my husband had the tomato soup with 1/2 a Greca panini. Everything served with extremely fresh crusty bread, miniature homemade croutons, grated cheese and a sweet small serving of tiny strawberries dusted with powdered sugar. Highly recommend this shop.

If it's cold and you want to eat well. Get a soup here. Pretty delicious. Service was nice and paninis were warm and delicious. Good lunch menu. There is a variety of soups and also ask for the soup of the day, that may not be listed. This will assure you get something fresh, special and on season.

Even though it's by the square, this place isn't a tourist trap. Highly recommend for cheap soup and paninis.

It checked all the boxes I was looking for - local Belgian cuisine, affordable, close by, and open late. Exactly what you want after a long day of drinking Belgian beers. I didn't realize ribs were such a big deal in Belgium, so I was genuinely excited when I ordered them... only to feel deep disappointment when the server returned to let me know they had just sold out. Luckily, I pivoted to the vol-au-vent and had absolutely no regrets. The chicken was moist and creamy, and the pastry was incredibly flaky and light. Naturally, I paired it with a Trappist ale, which felt mandatory. Cozy, satisfying, and quintessentially Belgian--this spot lived up to the recommendation and then some.

My son loved his beef stew and applesauce. My husband loved his salmon and I absolutely loved my salad! The tomatoes tasted like they were right out of a garden!! The waiters were very nice and helpful, making recommendations that proved to be amazing!

However do not let this deter you. They are highly efficient and have a system therefore the wait goes fast. Just be sure to be situationally aware. It's along a busy street where a lot of horse carriage rides transit, so don't hang out in the street. Also, be mindful to step aside once you place your order (probably to the left facing the order window, but do not block the walkway that allows the employees to deliver your order. They call out your number and it's hot and fresh. There was no room to sit on the steps/stoops so I stood and enjoyed my waffle. Personally, I feel like one Belgian waffle is sufficient to share between 2 people because it's rich and really sweet if you get the chocolate one. While I enjoyed it and the presentation was excellent, the waffle was very dense and really chewy. But I think that's how they are since it's made from yeast based dough. It's definitely worth the try, just too sweet and too chewy for my preference. Staff were very friendly and kind as well!!
