I had a system installed in my Polaris Slingshot about a year and a half ago, and since then I've had to return to the shop at least 6 times for ongoing issues with the equipment. I don't live nearby, so every visit meant arranging and paying for an Uber after dropping off my vehicle, which has been extremely inconvenient. I also want to be clear--I spent a lot of money here. Not just a small amount, but a few thousand dollars. For that kind of investment, I expected quality and reliability. Instead, I'm now being told my equipment is basically no good anymore. So what does that mean--I'm supposed to spend thousands of dollars every year and a half just to keep a working system? That's unacceptable. The biggest issue is the quality of the equipment. I was told I was getting aqua/marine-grade products, but that clearly hasn't been the case. The system has not held up the way it should, especially for what was promised. Customer service was also disappointing. When I asked to speak with the owner/manager, I was given multiple excuses before I was finally able to speak with him in person--and even then, it was excuse after excuse. Instead of solutions, I got no real accountability. On top of that, the initial inspection and diagnosis were not thorough. I was told over the phone that they would "call me back again after doing a more thorough inspection," which raised concerns about how carefully things were being handled in the first place. Lastly, the warranty they promote doesn't seem to actually exist in practice. When issues came up, there was no real support or accountability. Overall, I'm very frustrated. What started as a good experience turned into repeated problems, wasted time, and added expenses. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.

Honest and Friendly Muffler Shop…read more I had a great experience at Topete Mufflers. They were very honest and helpful. They removed my catalytic converter and actually showed it to me so I could see how bad it was. I really appreciated that because it helped me understand the problem instead of just being told something needed to be replaced. They also showed me the computer and explained everything clearly so I knew exactly what was going on with my car and pricing explained why and well! Their customer service was excellent. It was a very hot day and they offered cold water bottles to my mom and I and turned on the AC so we could stay comfortable while we waited. The bathroom was very clean and the shop looked nice and organized. They have a mini soccer pool game inside which was a fun touch while waiting. Another great thing is that they speak both Spanish and English, which makes it easy to communicate and ask questions. Overall, they are honest people who treat customers well. I definitely recommend Topete Mufflers if you need work done at a trustworthy muffler shop. Oh and I forgot they don't try to get you to spend more than you have too and help you spend minimum for what you actually need!

I went on over and waited and observed that the job was taking quite a bit of time. When the work was finished, I was told that I would only have to pay the price that I was quoted over the phone. I was surprised and grateful. So, I told him that I saw that the job took quite a lot of work and the welder said that the job should have cost a lot more. I gave him an extra ten bucks to show my appreciation. I believe that Jerl's Muffler and Brake has honest and fair people working for them. Based on that experience and speaking with them over the phone, I recommend them to everyone who needs their vehicle serviced according to their abilities (mainly Muffler & Brakes). I am going to see if they can work on my current vehicle and do a job on it. It has a broken off lug bolt that I need taken out. They can attempt to do the job but because their price is uncertain and a bit more than I would like to pay, I will go with a different shop. Initially, they referred me to America's Tire but they don't do that kind of work. America's Tire referred me to Brake Masters. I called them and they sound more than fair. They in turn referred me back to America's Tire for mounting and balancing... Just goes to show you how a good reputation means a lot and is hard to come by, especially in the automotive industry.
