Man I came here because of the reviews. I had a stereo installed this last Christmas 2025. It worked for a whole week and all of a sudden it stopped working. I came back to have them take a quick look at it but it was like they didn't even want to help me. I spent like $340 for just the install. The guys was like I have another for $700.. man who has that kind of money. All I wanted them to do was take a quick look to see if they could fix but no they had no time. No one was even there. I bet if I had the $700 they would have helped me then.. please don't get taken by this place. I will take the L n find a better spot.. I should have known better . Stockton. Ugh. Signed a Disgruntled customer..... Oh n get this the latin kid who was there had a marijuana vape pen fall out of his pocket. Lol maybe that's why they had no time. Lesson learned. This location isn't in the worst area of town, but it also isn't oh so glam like a lot of stereo shops I've been to. The outside is a little rough, but it fits in with the other line of stores in the area. Inside is a tight fit, and with two or three customers in there you're really fighting to get a good look at all the items they have about the room. The positive is just that, they seem to have tons of items throughout the place. Its nothing out of the ordinary, and this is one of those stereo shops where you don't see anything out of the ordinary or a system set up so nicely you just have to have it. Stereo systems, amps, subwoofers line the store. Speakers are ample here as well. They have chords and headunits wires, etc. Plain Jane normal speaker shop. They do have a back where I was able to peek at some installation going on. Other than that, I was only there for business in regards to a bit of customer service with an employee. Can't comment on their installation skills nor their productivity, but I will say not much caught my eye here. All in all, they're worth a visit. Friendliness was basic, didn't feel a warm welcoming vibe upon entrance. Quality stereo shops are hard to come by, and I'd go in and give them a full assessment before conducting business. read more

I was having problems with my audio & I came here. Oscar helped me out & he was so helpful & explained everything to me. They took their time to figure out what was wrong & fixed it for me. There prices are understandable. On top of that, I got my windows tinted here and they did a great job. All I am going to say is that if you can't be patient then don't come here or go somewhere in the meantime they are working on your car. They do take a while but you have to understand that they have other cars to work on & can't rush if you want it to come out good. I'm so pleased with my experience at Sound Image! Shawn, the owner, was extremely helpful. The products were of the highest quality but really affordable. My factory installed stereo amplifier malfunctioned and caused my older stereo to malfunction. But, they replaced the amp, rewired the entire system, and installed the Pioneer Mixtrax Media Player for $225. What a great deal! I'll definitely return when I replace the speakers. A big shout out to these guys for there help and the alarm install. I have A 2011 Ford F-150 with a commercial camper. I wanted to have sensors on all the doors to the truck shell. I work with my truck so my tools are valuable! The install looks good and the alarm works as it should. They even helped me reprogram my extra FOB for the alarm.. great service and good work. THIEVES. HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. Long story short, I went to get my 2 12's installed here and one of the installers stole a personal item of mine that can't be replaced. I told the owners and we even had the police come to the shop. They also sold me two refurbished subwoofers that did not work that literally blew twice. I had to go to this shop a total of 6+ times for them to finally adjust my setup right. I paid a total of $600 in equipment and they still wanted to make me pay more after they stole my belongings. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. I will NEVER come here again!! read more

I went on 9/17/18 to get 2 speakers for my 2003 Envoy and I got a great deal for the speakers and installation, today 9/18 I noticed that the door panel started to come off so I called the shop, the owner answered and told me to come in to the shop and that he would take care of it and indeed he did. They are the cheapest in town but I would not recommend going to them. It's a you get what you pay for kind of place. I purchased a camera from them it had horrible quality and they didn't place the camera correctly. I went back to take the camera off and I found a camera that was cheaper and a better quality for them to put on since I had already paid for the labor and couldn't get my money back. I also ended up getting a remote start out in which was kind of pointless because before they put it in they did not tell me that the car will shut off when I open the door if I put it on my original key. Also I was quoted 250 out the door with a credit for their camera I was returning. The guy who rung me up added taxes to my total because i got credit for the camera I returned and he wanted me to pay the full price. One of the guys also tried to take credit for making the volume buttons work on my wheel. He did not do that because I had paid $70 at Best Buy to get that to work with my new radio that Best Buy put in. They also didn't put my dashboard back on properly so I had to wait for them to fix it and even now it's not how it was when I gave it to them. Next time I want something done to my car I will stick with Best Buy. read more

My first experience was great. I went in to get a sub box and they had an extensive amount of sub boxes to choose from compared to other car audio places. The counter person was very helpful and nice. He worked on the price for me and was very informative. I asked him if they carried amp wiring kits and he suggested me a few. I was going to get them elsewhere, but he gave me a price I couldn't refuse. After my purchase, I asked him for a quote for an alarm 2-way pager install without remote start, he asked me a few questions (year, make, model of car, auto/manual doors/transmission...) and then he quoted me 75. I was surprised about the low price, so I had to ask if he was sure he said yes, so I told him i'll be back to get my alarm installed next time. I went home to install my sub and amp, I noticed the wiring wasn't really true to gauge I didn't mind the power wire and ground, but the remote wire and speaker wire were flimsy, so I used some leftover wires as my speaker wire and made use of the remote wire. All in all, it did it's job. A week later (04/10/13) I went back to get my alarm installed, it was a different guy at the counter this time. I asked him for a quote for the install again because I always have a feeling that if the price is not written down, different people may initiate different prices. He asked me a few questions as well (year, make, model of car, manual/automatic transmission...) and he quoted me 95. I told him the other guy quoted me 75, why 95 this time? And he said because my car was manual... I didn't get why there was a difference, I just thought it mattered if the door locks were manual/automatic... but, I agreed with the price anyways because I was quoted more at other car audio places. I sat down and watched tv for under 2 hrs and was called over to the counter to be told that my car was done. I paid the 95, headed around the corner to the alley to see my keys on top of my car waiting for me. I was surprised that there were no quick run arounds so I quickly disarmed my car and looked around my car to do a quick check up. I noticed my seats had dirt dust on them, i wasn't very happy about that, they're recaro seats approx. 800 plus a seat AND my hood popper was on the floor not bolted to the appropriate place. I didn't see my box and manuals, just my remote start wiring and diagram paper on my passenger side seat, didn't think much of it, thought they probably put the box in my trunk or the back of my seat. I went over to the garage and called a guy over to bolt my hood popper back down and he asked me if it was like that before I got my install. Are you serious? I told him no, so he went ahead and bolted it back on for me. I just patted the dirt off my seats and headed out because I was in a hurry, I let it go... dirt off my shoulders. I headed up to northside and parked at a spot, then noticed the plastic surround piece of my trunk popper was on the floor next my seat... AND my box full of manuals and viper stickers were not in my car. However, I have a lifetime warranty on the alarm. Didn't have time to call them back. Installation is mediocre, but counter people seem nice. Now i'm not sure if I want to go back to get my tint and alarm add-ons done. Just not very happy with the sloppy job. read more

What I like most about Sound Image, was surprisingly the customer service. The guy was super cool. I wasn't goin in to buy a high dollar item, just a $10 plate for my component set. He asked to see what I had and saw that it was high end gear. He complemented me on it and didnt try to sell me a thing! Usually other shops would say you have shitty stuff, so they can sell you what they want. I asked about some future upgrades and was quoted great prices. They are nice guys but if you research what they are trying to sell you, you would find out they are charging 150-250 for an 80 dollar stereo, i understand that they need to make a dollar but charging double what you can get from the next store then why pay that much for it?
