I had my Accord tinted at Pro Tint a few years back. This place was pricier than other places but I chose Pro Tint because it had a lifetime warranty and I felt as long as this place stays in business, I should be good. The tint held up looking good up until 3 months ago and it started bubbling. Today I brought my car in and told them I got my tint done there and they said I needed my receipt. I told them to look into their computer system and they said it deletes all old transactions after 2 years. That did not sound right to me. It sounded like they did not want to honor their warranty. So I asked them how much would they charge for them to remove and replace the back tint and the worker there told me a little over $300. That's just ridiculous. It was my fault for not having my receipt but for their computer system to lose all their transactions after 2 years does not sound right. I call bullshit. I guess as long as you keep your receipt you should be okay if they don't come up with other excuses. I just don't trust a company that does not back up their work. read more

I really tried to make this a 5 star review.... I've had to go back quite a few times for bubbles in the windshield film. I understand shit happen.... But it's been noting short of inconvenient and costly. They replaced the windshield film because there was some adhesive or something that was creating some small bubbles. They stood behind their work and replaced it. Now two problems. There are even more bubbles in another place. Worst problem is they lost the temporary dealer registration that was on my windshield... Now I'm driving 3-4 hours round trip to Marin to get a replacement, praying I don't get stopped by the police. So I'm out several hours if not a day in total of my life, a decent chunk of money wasted, and need to find another place to remove this film and apply new film. Only reason it's 2 stars and not 1 star for the side/back window being really good. I'm sure I'm just the fluke.... But it's just been a terrible experience. read more

Going to Pro Tint is like reaching into my tool box and finding my good old trusty tools. These guys are always reliable and trustworthy. When taking a look at the car for the initial inspection, they tried to save me money by exercising other options (metallic tint versus the carbon based). Unfortunately for me, the Prius has the antenna integrated into the rear window so I had to stick with the carbon. When getting back to the store, they reminded me about the 10% online discount for materials. The job was done in a swift and professional manner. Also, don't forget that their high end tint is guaranteed not to fade, peel, or bubble. This covers both the material AND the labor. Don't be fooled by others out there. I had my new 2018 Accord tinted Pro Tint. Looks great. One thing that makes this place better for window tinting is that they use a computer to cut out the tint to the exact fit to the windows. Don't need to trace cutout on the window itself. You won't get cut marks on your glass. I hadn't post an earlier event when i had a bubble problem on another vehicle which tinted in 2004. This was my fourth car I brought here. The first three cars I had them tinted were great but this last one was not good. I brought it back cuz there seemed to be a huge cut on the film and they told me it was a manufacture defect on my glass window. They said to bring it back to the dealership since it's a brand new car that the dealer should replace it. The dealer won't do anything and says to bring it back to the tint shop and have them do the right thing because they tinted it. Either way I'm screwed. read more

Got a recommendation to go here from word of mouth to a friend. It was everything it claimed to be. Superior service and great quality work. Checked surrounding places on yelp first and stuck with my gut on this one. I had my CR-V tinted and alarm put in and am very pleased with the work. The alarm work was quick and complete, and the tint takes a little longer due to the quality of the work. Chuck and Tony walked me through the stages of tint and kind of tints, so even a novice like me could understand. The tint was put on and before I even got it back it was double checked for quality. Staff was up front with me that it was taking an extra little bit (of time) because the first application on the back window was creased and rather than try to pass the crease off to me to save time and money, their staff took the initiative to peel it off and use a new piece of film rather than give me a creased product. That's true professionalism. Also they stand behind their work. If it ever purples or bubbles, they'll replace both parts and labor for the life of the film, which is why they're not $99. You get what you pay for. You want $99 purple bubble tint, this is not the place for you. Here you get good quality product, and excellent communication, knowledge and competence in the staff. Only tint place in Stockton with a dedicated clean room, so no dust is on your tint in between film and glass. Room is completely sealed. Also, the film is all machine cut to size and then hand cut on a glass board before going on the car. No blades touch the car. No etching on the glass. Call for appointment, they're super booked (like 7 days out). We'll be bringing all our cars here for electronics / tint after market. (They also do dealer/group tints/installs.) I shopped around and researched like crazy before going with Pro Tint. I have a brand new car, so I was really nervous. Chuck is super nice and helpful - he answered the millions of questions I had and more. I decided to go with them because of all the great reviews and I also called all the auto dealerships on West Lane and found out that they take their cars to Pro Tint. They did an awesome job on my car! I went with the carbon-based tint, which is a little more expensive than dye-based, but will not fade and has a lifetime warranty. The only thing I have to say that is negative is they didn't tell me that the inside of my truck would get wet during the process, luckily I didn't have anything in there! After reading so many great reviews on Yelp, I knew I could bring my car to this shop and it would be in good hands. I set up an appointment to have my car tinted for the following week since they were all booked for the next few days. I had a day off so I decided to call the following day and see if they had any openings. Luckily, someone cancelled so they were able to fit my car in right away! The estimate was about 3 hours but it was done in about 1 1/2 hours. When I got home, I found a rather large particle stuck between the film and my front window. I took it back and they fixed it right away in about 30 mins. I was told there would be streaking, condensation, and bubbling during the drying process (about 2 days) but it would all go away. I never got the streaking or condensation, but there was a big bubble and some dust particles on the window they had just fixed, so after the weekend, I brought it back again. Every other window in that car turned out perfectly fine.. just that one in the front was being troublesome. The tech pushed the bubble down, but there was still kind of an outline of where the bubble had been. It was beneath the molding of the window but was still visible from the inside. The owner, Chuck, felt that I was unhappy with the result and offered to have the window be redone again. This time, he made sure it was perfect before handing the car back to me, and it was! Thank you, Pro Tint for your time, energy and patience! Although there were a couple hitches along the way, I *cannot* stress enough how great these guys are at customer service and customer satisfaction.
