D&V has a great outdoor space and the indoors is intimate and friendly. I love that they carry Trillium (Boston), Phase Three (No. IL) and other standouts from out of state, to amplify the hefty Wisconsin craft beer menu. If you don't know what you want the bar service will ask what you like and recommend a beer, or give you a sample. I've never had a bad time at Draft & Vessel in Shorewood, and the Milwaukee area is all the better for this great bar!

It's great that they offer a few non-beer alternatives for those who prefer our alcohol sans hops. Service was good when I visited. The bartender seemed pretty involved with the patrons already seated inside, but he did what needed to be done efficiently. And yes, it is dog friendly, which is great if you're a dog looking for night out at the bar. I find myself getting a little tired of never finding an animal free patio space anymore - don't get your pitchforks - I love them, but I'm allergic. Also, my cats and I appreciate some "me time" so they're just as glad that I leave then alone when I go out and don't force them to come with me to the bar. I think so dogs might feel the same.

But parking is paid parking on the street, with spots hard to find. Once the parking situation is resolved, things are great. The vibes inside was awesome - very open, with lots of seating. There seems to be tons of seating options, and outdoor seating as well for when the days are warmer. And for a brewery, the most important thing? The beer, of course! And it was good. We've had their beer before and have always like them. It was great getting some more on draft. Agro pop IPA Yummy!! Panther pale ale OK, but not my fave. I wouldn't get it again. Cheese curds $14 These were delicious, but it did get salty after munching through the plate. We were limiting ourselves to just one drink, and needed more drinks or another food item to mediate our tastebuds. I'd order again with a proper meal or with more booze. Service was super nice, though not quite polished, which I don't mind at all. Points for a nice smilze!

My chicken pesto melt was super flavorful and felt light since the chicken was grilled and the focaccia bun was nice and soft. Fries were average bar fries. David's chicken sandwich was huge! He didn't like the pickles that were on it, or the garlic aioli but chicken and bun were good. I wasn't a fan of my sour (Punch Kissed Parasol) but David enjoyed his beer (Falk Bock). Service was great!

I Met the owners mark and paul on the grand opening who had a concept of not making the same beer twice. I struggled with this idea since it goes against the typical nano brewery rules. It's a gamble that has worked well and each time I've went. Except on a rare occasion of getting a beer on its first tapping I had the same beer twice within the week. It's similar to visiting a familiar new location with brand new beers on tap every time. The brewmaster Mark looks the part, read ..work boots, ironic glasses, hipster facial hair and the over worked and worked over look. Proof that brewing/cleaning is not glamorous at all. I've certainly been able to find 3-4 of 10 beers that fit my needs each and every time. Dogs are welcome on the back beer garden. Where you will find cornhole boards and occasionally lumpia city food truck. The other options are cosmos across the street along with Cranky Als pizza, Chinese food from next door and Hawaiian from Ono Kine Grinds. Representing 2021 in alphabet series, I is for Indeed Brewing. In September 2021, my friend & I…read morewere on vacation in Chicago & Milwaukee. On that Friday, we drove up from Chicago, checked into hotel, & went to the Brewers game. The next day I was trying to find out Millers brew tours (even though I don't like their beer, but it's an iconic large American brand), but they didn't do the tours anymore. I think they may have stopped them when Covid happened, never brought them back or at least at that point. I was searching online & calling around as I thought it'd be cool to do some brewing tour, and places said no. Finally, Indeed Brewing said come on down, we will give you a tour. Speaking of I is for Indeed, I was at I for an Industrial museum, well various art about people at work called Grohmann Museum, and I had dropped my friend off at the Science Museum. I called him and said I found a brew tour. We both enthusiastically went over to Indeed. The owner gave us a tour of the various. He told us to wait as he was busy, pretty busy on that Saturday afternoon, go get yourself a beer. Wow, great beer! The tour was informative. My friend got a 2nd beer. I'm a bit slower of a drinker. After his 2nd beer, he was buzzed and said I know it's going to sound crazy and that I would probably say no, but wanna go to the Brewers game again? I'd say the baseball game again was the beer talking, but he loves baseball, so I'm sure he would've said that anyway. I said Brewers were my favorite between going to White Sox on Wednesday, Cubs on Thursday, & Brewers on Friday, but I don't wanna go to baseball game for the 4th night in a row, and there was more I wanted to explore in Milwaukee. We were going to be leaving the next morning to take a side trip to Madison and then leave from O'Hare later in the afternoon. Incidentally, while I enjoyed Milwaukee on my own that night, I missed a great game as Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser threw a complete game-shutout! No way of knowing. And the night before Cardinals slaughtered Brewers 15-4. So, I went to the wrong game, but I had a lot of fun. In summary, Indeed Brewing was a great memory of the tour, great beer, nice owner, & nice crew. If I'm ever in Milwaukee again, I'd revisit Indeed.
