I moved to a home with a septic system a few years ago. The home was vacant for a while so we starting having issues almost immediately. Pat was one of the first people who answered my initial questions and was able to come out quickly to inspect. He was fair, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I've had a few problems over the years and he's the only company I'd work with. When we had an issue that was outside his scope, he referred me to someone who was able to come out the next day and diagnose. It's difficult to find good people to work with, but when you do they often know of other good companies as well. I'll only use SOS septic and Pat for all my future needs. read more

I have used SOS Septic Pumping for almost 20 years - Pat is the very best - a goodhearted guy who is extremely conscientious - usually one day service - make an appointment in the morning - he shows up in the afternoon - one caveat - make sure you write down the name of the operator who answers your phone call - this phone answering service (Answering Specialists) has quite a few holes in it - especially on weekends - it doesn't hurt to write down the name of the operator who answers your call - and to call SOS Septic back during regular business hours - to make sure Pat got your message - other than that - you couldn't hire a more ethical, punctual, respectful, responsible, reasonably priced company - go SOS Septic - hope you're around for another 20 years!! read more

Super friendly, down to earth, reasonably priced and knowledgeable. We called a lot of companies and this was the only one who could come out on such short notice on a Saturday. Last Friday I set up an appointment to have my septic tank emptied. I confirmed that I was in their service area and they could pump my tank so I set up an appointment for the first pump of the day the following Tuesday, at 9AM. This pumping was essential because after the tank was pumped, I immediately planned to switch my system from septic to sewer, a 25K job. I scheduled my contractor for that same day who then rented a digger, coordinated an electrician, four workers and all the supplies necessary, including a honey bucket. At 8:30 on the day of the project to begin the electrician, contractor, workers and honey bucket sat ready, as the job couldn't start until the tank was empty. At 8:37AM, again, the same day the project was to begin, I received a call from dispatch at SOS saying I was out of their service area and they couldn't help me. When I called the main office they told me that I was still still scheduled and should be expecting then to arrive any minute. When I asked if they could check with dispatch, I was told they didn't have that ability. SO there I was with a whole work force that couldn't do anything because my septic tank was full. Because they didn't check their map and my location, and because the office is unable to communicate with dispatch, I am out thousands of dollars. These guys suck. Poor service, poor management and poor coordination. read more

Called this morning to make an appointment and got a window set for 3-5pm. We waited until after 5pm to call and ask what was going on and we were told that someone would check into it and call us back. Waited 20 minutes and hadn't received a call back so I called again. I had them confirm that my appointment was in the system (it was) and again said I still wanted to have someone come tonight as our system is backing up and we need the pump. I was told that a message would be sent to the owner and I would receive a call back. I waited another 20 minutes and still didn't hear back. I called again and was told that someone would call me tomorrow. Admittedly, I lost my temper. This is unacceptable. My husband set an appointment, the company failed to show up at all and didn't bother to call and then all I get is a "someone will call you tomorrow." I told the person that answers the phone that if I didn't hear back from someone tonight with either a pump in my driveway or a phone call and very good explanation then I would be leaving a review. I gave fair warning and time for the company to make it right. read more

I used them when we purchased our home for pump and inspection. Appeared to be knowledgeable and he spoke highly of the importance of return customers. Most recently I made two calls to inquire about another pumping and system diagnostic just to make sure everything is running smoothly. I was told that the Pat had some free time around lunch and he would give me a call back. I called back to follow up after 2 as I received no call back yet. I was put on hold for 7:42 before a different person came back on the line and I had to explain all over again. This person set another expectation about a call back. The business day came to a close and no call back AT ALL. The next morning still no call! I don't see how they have alot of repeat customers if this is what I experienced. Using google now to find someone else. UPDATE If they had no stars this company and owner would warrant it. Reaching the administration staff is sort of like calling the center of a black hole. The calls go in, but no one returns the calls. I had to use google and went with someone else because it was time for another pumping. This of course was a surprise considering how much he spent talking about taking care of repeat customers. I called early in the AM and by the afternoon I still had not received a call back. Despite the person who answered the call setting the expectation that I would receive a call back by lunchtime. When I called later in the afternoon a different person answered and said that he would call the owner personally and ensure I received a call right back. No call came, not even the next morning so I went with someone else. This is where is becomes very concerning. At the time of the original pumping inspection the owner of this company completed a septic tank service report and indicated that "septic tank and pump chamber in good working order". This assessment is completely wrong. It turns out that the drain pipe from the foundation to the spetic tank is severely bowed and the lowest point lays between the house and the tank. Another words there is always waste laying in the drain pipe. Which explains slow drains and odors. Just to ensure that this wasn't an oversight I called 2 independent companies. Both confirmed the same thing. There was no significant settling and the original drain pipe at the foundation was to low. Both agreed that even an inexperienced technician should have immediately noted that the drain pipe was bowed and the low point was between the tank and the house. At the very least it should have been noted on the septic report. This is an huge miss and will cost money to repair and should have never been missed a fact that I confirmed with two different companies and the Snohomish county health district. Don't use this company unless you don't mind that they miss obvious issues that will need repairing. read more

Every time you call, you have to leave a voicemail (no one ever answers the phone). Terrible way to represent your business. After 3 messages, I finally got a phone call back. Made an appointment for a Friday. On Friday AM, the lady calls to say the driver's daughter is sick and could he come out on Saturday. I said we wouldn't be home but he could come anyways. Gave her my credit card to charge for the job. Got home on Sunday and could not tell if he had been out or not and no charge to my card. Called Monday & Tuesday and left messages. She finally called me back a few days later to say she hadn't been able to get in touch with her employee to ask if he'd done the job or not. Really, what employer can't get a hold of an employee after a week to ask the status of a job?? Super frustrated since obviously I need the job done, but do I call someone else to come out not knowing if my tank is full or empty? Lakeside Septic is coming out today - I absolutely do not recommend SOS Septic since their customer service sucks!!! read more
