We have a second home in Murphy and we are always looking for a great place to eat. Our neighbors suggested So's Good and it was So Good! Now we go every time we are in town. Food is delicious! There is no Chinese in the area that compares. We drive 30 minutes to visit the restaurant. I'm giving this four stars because I was so disappointed last time we went. Why did you change your house fried rice recipe?!?!? Our server said you stopped using MSG, but it was a totally different recipe from our previous visits. When we talked to our server a bit more she mentioned there was also a new chef. We have been known to have one order while dining and then place a second order of HFR to go just so we'll have extras when we get home, it was THAT GOOD! I was also not a fan of the pad Thai, but it's not a Thai restaurant. It tasted like the chef opened a bottle of Thai chili sauce and dumped it on the noodles. Not at all on the level of your other dishes. Mongolian beef is our favorite, along with the hot and sour and wonton soups - delicious. Good Chinese food in the North Georgia / Western NC area. Go for lunch - good prices and entrees' are served with an Eggroll. I've tried most of the lunch offerings and they all are pretty good, but the Chicken Chow Mein is my goto. My kids lot their fried rice. I was very disappointed with their costumer service tonight. I called them and I was asking questions on a few of their dishes and how spicy they were or if it had curry in one of the dishes... ordered a few items and than she put me on hold, but I can still hear what she was saying to the cook or whoever was in the restaurant. She complained and said things that should have not have been said about me. I was shocked! When she came back on the phone, I told her that's not the way you treat a costumer.. and I don't need her food anymore. And I hung up. She was shocked that I heard everything she said. I can't believe how rude some people can be... if you want to have a good name for your business, treat people with respect. As a business owner myself, I was shocked that someone would be rude like that when they are there to serve you. :( read more

So's Good Kitchen was so good! We had the Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken with Fried Rice. The food was excellent. It was hot, fresh, and better than any Chinese food in Murphy or the surrounding area. We were served by a smiling, kind, and attentive staff. When they first opened, it was quick and easy - choose your entrée and rice or noodles, sit down and you are good to go. Large portions and tasty. However, they have recently changed their way of ordering and it takes forever, and the food is just so-so. I placed order for takeout veggie egg foo young and shrimp chop suey (my favorites). The shrimp were HUGE ... the biggest I've ever seen. However it had broccoli, yellow & zuchiñni squash ...no Chinese veggies. I like all those veggies...I just want Chinese veggies (beansprouts, bamboo shoots, & water chestnuts) when I eat at a Chinese restaurant. This place was so delicious! We ordered take out and to our surprise the food was so good. I had the vegetable lo mein (actually had a good amount of vegetables and fresh zucchini) and two spring rolls. My husband had the chicken lo mein and pork rolls (wasn't crazy about the pork rolls). Yum! It was our last night staying in Murphy so we were looking for a spot that had good food that we could take back to our Airbnb. We ordered the Miso soup, dumplings, and an order of the chicken and garlic sauce with veggies to split. Great portions, there was still food left after we'd finished eating and everything tasted great. The sauce for the dumplings was a little on the salty side but it tasted good. On top of that, after I'd paid and gotten everything we needed the gentleman who assisted me also opened the door for me when I was leaving. read more

The menu is extensive. Restaurant is very clean and well-run. The food is cooked with fresh ingredients and served piping hot. Tonight, I ordered Chow Fun with shrimp. It was excellent. The restaurant was very busy when I was leaving and every table was occupied. I watched dish after dish served within a short time after the order was placed. First dining out experience since Covid. Had outside seating which was great (only thing we were willing to do) but only come here if you want your waitress to defiantly and mask -free stand directly at your shoulder talking.
