    Mexi bowl with jackfruit

We came here this afternoon and had a great time! It was pretty crowded but we still had quick service. It's a super tiny place though and the tables are all very close together so if you're in a wheelchair or something, it's not very accessible at all. We ordered a couple of the bowls and they were SO good! We've only been in here a few times but the food is awesome. It's got a really cute atmosphere also, and lots of books and toys for the little kids to keep them entertained before the food comes. I had a gift card that I'd been given a while ago that I never got around to using, but when I went to pay with it, the waitress told me that they no longer used those cards and that their system couldn't accept them, which was totally fine and understandable. Instead, she gave me a $5 discount off the bill. She said herself that she thought the restaurant should have posted about it somewhere that they were no longer accepting them so that people were aware of it. I felt that since I had no way of knowing they couldn't take it (since they had nothing saying so online or anywhere) that the full amount of the gift card should have at least been honoured. Instead, it was just wasted money for the person who gave it to me. I think it would only be fair to at least honour it still. Otherwise, we loved our visit and will still always be back! One thing I think would be great though is if there was some sort of nutrition menu too, with like calorie amounts and nutritional value info. It would be super super helpful!

BCLT DELUXE MACK DADDIES with yogurt granola side OMG

I'm copying the opening suggestion for review because it is exactly how I feel about this place!! Very rarely do I find a place where food is created so expertly and most of the decor is hand made, and 1/2 of the bar is an old farm find!! My first bite into my BCLT Mack daddies was heavenly so much flavour on a small English muffin, and it was enough of a breakfast with a side of honey granola yogurt to fill me! My husband had the classic breakfast, hash browns flavoured perfectly, bacon glazed with honey so lightly that it's not overly sweet, sausage was excellent!! Mocha latte was my husbands favourite coffee! What can I say about the decor and ambiance?? I love it, hand made wood tables and lighting! A little smaller and sometimes 45 min wait times, but owner is very personable and welcoming! They have drive through if you are in a hurry and take out too! All in all this is the best place Ove eaten for breakfast! Gonna try dinner soon and they support local charities and have charitable events once a month! Come see for yourself!!

Really enjoyed my turkey/egg breakfast sandwich!

Sorso Coffee is a newer coffee shop in Airdrie, and I really enjoyed my breakfast here! The vibe is great, and I'm always for a coffee shop that turns into a bar in the evenings. It seems like a quality, quiet coffee shop that is a great place to hang. For food, I got one of their turkey/egg sandwich on an English muffin. It was a good size and very tasty. It came with a little garnish of orange, which was a nice touch. I wouldn't have minded if it were a little larger, but the taste was spot on. For coffee, I ordered a French press (perfect for a group). It made about 4 cups, which was great for our group. Not only was it practical, but the coffee was great too! Since I haven't spent much time in Airdrie, I'm not sure if there are many other coffee shops around. Sorso seems to be top notch though, so if you're passing through and wondering if it's worth a stop, I'd say give it a shot!

    Best kombuchca in town!!!

I do love this place! I find it to be a great addition to the city of Airdrie! No longer do we need to head into Calgary to grab a great cup of coffee. I love to meet my clients here and introduce them to the great pockets of independent businesses we have here in Airdrie. My only draw back is customer service, but it still has my heart for coffee, food and of course my favorite kombuchca! xo Sorso we all love you xo

    Great local and premium selections!

I've been to Sorso a few times now, despite living in Calgary this coffee shop keeps me coming back every time I find myself north of the city for business. The Café is warm and inviting with a modern-rustic atmosphere; highlights are the restored bar taken from a barn and some of the coolest light fixtures I have ever seen! Their coffee is locally sourced from Rosso and they also offer premium guest batches from across Canada, both are great for those who appreciate more than your standard Tim's or Starbuck's brew. This theme extends to their beer selection, yup beer in a coffee shop; it doesn't get better than that! On my most recent visit they had an in-house beer sourced from a local brewery and beer sourced from Grizzly Paw in Canmore (Beaver Tail Raspberry on my last visit). They also had Guinness and Kronenbourg for people looking for a familiar premium beer. This "locally sourced" + "international bests" is a winning approach in my eyes. I also noticed they had a ton of teas from Calgary's own Tea House, although I haven't gotten around to trying any yet I do like the clear effort to partner with local businesses. The food menu is constantly changing, with a good variety of sandwiches, wraps and desserts. I typically go with one of their feature sandwiches and the daily soup which has not disappointed on any occasion. The staff is always happy to take my order and answer any of my questions. I would definitely recommend stopping by next time you're in the area! P.S. They have a cozy meeting room in the back that can sit 10-12 comfortably, great hidden secret for students and professionals who want to make their next group or team meeting a memorable one.

    Beautiful!

Wow, there's a vast array of reviews for this coffee shop! I had a great experience. I was heading back to Edmonton from Calgary and wanted a good latte. The decor is great, there is plenty of seating, and the staff were friendly enough. The latte was made perfectly, and I even enjoyed one of the treats. I don't know what some people are expecting when they come here, but I got exactly what I expected! Happy customer!

However、please do not ask serving or bartending staff if you don't want genuine feedback. The owner will act against you. We requested one time that Blaine (the owner) does not come on floor if he's had more than two drinks and if he's not dressed in proper uniform. As an owner, sure, to some extent that's fine. We dine out a lot so this was not a case of not having comparables. Service was very pleasant and attentive. 3 out of 4 meals were fine. All salmon based dishes that were enjoyed. The fourth was the Alberta Lamb Top Sirloin. I wish I would have taken a picture of the meal. The price was $62 for the entree which I find is in line with mid to higher end restaurants in Calgary and expected. What was surprising was that the entree consisted of two pieces of lamb that each would be slightly above the size of a golf ball. I actually cut it into small pieces just so that it would last longer. There were a couple of slices of potatoes and a small amount of seasonal vegetables. In my head I was saying, "seriously" or "that's it". I would say that since Covid occurred, prices at restaurants have risen about 40% higher and given that we still dine out quite a bit, I have been accustomed to this new pricing but I simply would not return to Flores and Pine given the complete lack of value. It is a shame because the room and ambience was nice and this restaurant had been on our list to try since it has opened. I don't believe I have ever written a review of a restaurant and I have certainly have had worse meals at a restaurant but these were likely at a pub or chain restaurant where I have few expectations. Anyway, as mentioned the other 3 in our party enjoyed their meals and it was only I that had an issue.

I hope, fingers crossed, they are just finding their footing right now and are interested in improving their already characteristic business which could be on it's way up after 5 months of being open. (July 20, 2020). I KNOW you guys got this and I believe you have a gold mine on your hands, if you so choose. In the beginning... We had never heard of Wild Card until I happened to pop on the City of Airdrie's website looking at 'new businesses'. 'Wild Card Shack' struck me as a place we should know and like, so I Googled it. Website- Half built, only the menu available, no business hours, no promo's advertised. Facebook- Decent information available, no promo's, no business hours. Google- Leads to incomplete website, hours displayed wrong. Restaurant/ Pub- lots of unadvertised specials displayed, decent menu, hours displayed wrong (out front). Come on guys! Consistency among all your platforms please. 101! Where is your PR? It was a quiet Sunday at 12:30pm that we popped in for lunch. Service started well with our Server wearing a lower, plastic face mask. One table of 2 was already seated before us and another table of 2 came in about 30 min after us. Total= 3 tables (6 people). Drinks, great. Time to place order, decent. Wait to receive our order? Fifty five (55) minutes. I totally get the wait if the kitchen is busy, but this was not the case. The table behind us (who were there before we arrived) had to ask where their food was. Our Server had ditched her mask well before she delivered our food and didn't wear one for the rest of our visit. Lucky we didn't walk out in this day and age of CoVid. Food was both a blessing and a curse. The steak was done beautifully, the Monster burger, cooked to a perfect 'medium' (not sure if this was the cooks intention, some Canadians would have called the burger 'rare or underdone' and sent it back, but not us!) and the burger was dripping with bbq sauce (each patty seemed to be dipped in sauce). After 2 bites Hubs had to take a knife and fork to it. Not complaining about the size, it was just sloppily put together, without care. The fries, raw and flaccid. Sent back one order (I wasn't going to bother sending mine back even though I should have) and the second order came out the exact same way. We didn't eat any of the 3 orders of fries. Our Server gave us a 'staff discount' off the burger which was $2.85. SMH. Also, why are you serving chicken gravy with the steak sandwich or the aforementioned beef burger? Tons of character, great music, friendly-ish staff, tons of specials (can't really keep track) and the bathrooms were NOT pretty. Looking forward to when you get more established. With a little attention to detail you WILL be the best burger in the city. We will be back another time soon and hopefully with an updated review. It's 5:00 somewhere!
