Tomahawk grazing board
Mylinh V.

This trendy restaurant is located along the highway. We decided to stop here for dinner after a long day at Banff and it was so worth it. The interior is very upscale and everyone was dressed to the T. Our service was great. Our server was very apologetic for the delay due to the backup in the kitchen but overall made it a great experience. We tried some cocktails and they were all perfectly created. The duck drummettes were very flavorful and so crispy. The duck meat was not too dry for it being such a lean leg. The main dish of the show was the Tomahawk Grazing Board ($350CAD Not a very cheap item but a fun experience). The steak was cooked medium rare which was hard for me to eat. I really wished they would have asked us if we wanted it cooked more because I was disgusted after awhile from eating it at that cook. The sides of the board was great. The vegetables were all a good compliment to the meat. Overall this is a great place to go for a celebration or a special event. Not really affordable for a normal dinner.

Tomahawk dinner for 2!

Flores and Pine! Flores and Pine did not come to disappoint. If you are looking for a high-end restaurant to go to in Canada. ! Look no further Flores and pine has got it in the hat. First, I want to say to our amazing server, Jessica you are a saint and a sweetheart and thank you for making my last day in Canada so welcoming I cannot wait to come back and visit. I really don't know where to start. The beautiful decor in this restaurant made me feel that I was on top of the world. The service was top-tier. The food was even better and I could not think of a better place to end my vacation. I ordered the tomahawk dinner for two and it was worth every single penny. The whipped mashed potatoes tasted like butter. They were so smooth you wouldn't be able to believe it was actually mashed potatoes. The french fries and the mac & cheese was just literal melt worthy in your mouth. The only way you would know is if you have to try it it's just fantastic. and of course the steak itself was and flavorful and to add the mushrooms on the side was really good. You were able to taste all the ingredients and all the dishes that were served that night, and the wine was out of this world. I also just adored how this place was able to fit us in last minute for a dinner reservation and accommodated to our needs and that was really special. Again Jessica, you are amazing and you guys go check this place out!

Honey Cake (the original draw)

One of my hobbies is trying to think of reasons for throwing a party here. F & P is by far one of the MOST beautiful event spaces in our city. I can't even decide which of the many spaces is the most amazing. The "outside" room was a life-saver when it was smoky this summer. The screens kept the smoke out but it still felt totally like being outside. The food is soooo good! Sunday prime rib nights with Yorkshire pudding are great and the dinner special including chicken is a good option for those with kiddo's. I love that you can order for pick-up or delivery too. I'm still trying to figure out what precisely is in the brussels sprouts. The burrata and bread are crave-worthy. Ironically, it was a picture of the honey cake that first drew me out to Bearspaw to visit. Ironic because I didn't love the cake at all. I think deserts are the one weakness of the restaurant. What I have sampled so far, hasn't been up to the impeccably high quality of the food, beverages, ambiance and service. However, the first courses are so delicious I usually don't even care if I have desert so I'm not taking away any stars.

I recently had my engagement dinner here and it was really great. The service was excellent! Our server brought us some special extras to celebrate our engagement and went above and beyond to make sure we felt special. She also made some great recommendations on menu options. We ended up getting the Tomahawk Steak board and everything was extremely delicious. Others in our party had the chicken and duck and both were really great tasting as well. The restaurant is private, intimate, and tastefully decorated. There is a giant screened-in patio and a couple of wood-burning fireplaces. I would definitely recommend for special occasions. They also do Sunday brunch - YUM!

Incredible. The decor, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the service, the drinks, the food; incredible. This is by far one of my favorite places to go. The special touches and tributes to Calgary heritage and strong individuals makes this wonderful place so special. Starting with a great cocktail list that offers traditional options and adventurous treats, you won't be disappointed. On to The great selection of Canadian appetizers and main courses, which are all full of flavor combined with beautiful presentation. Dessert options are again delicious and with great portion sizes amazing for sharing! The wine cellar is beautiful, the bridal suite a dream and if you're looking for a venue to host an amazing event or a romantic night this is your place!

We live in Tuscany so we decided to give it a try. Beautiful large, and open dinning room. Although it was full, you didn't feel crowded in. Menu had a great selection of fire grilled items, pasta, and seafood. I had the soup (which could have been warmer but is my only criticism), and then the scallop main which was amazing. I cleaned my plate, and was tempted to lick it. My husband had the strip loin and it was one of the best steaks I've ever tried. They do a great char grill that you can taste. Presentation was lovely too. Desert was yum. Overall highly recommended, and so nice not to have to go into downtown to have a delicious meal! Next we are going to try their brunch!

First experience at Flores and Pine, highly recommended to us. Celebrated our 10th anniversary. Our server (Mathew) made it very special, including a card from the restaurant. He was very personable and professional. Service was without a doubt 5 Star. Food was out of this world good. One of the best steak dinners I've ever had. Whole family loved the appies, dinner and dessert. Cocktails were also made very well, including a very experienced mixologist. Great ambience. Beautiful location. Had absolutely 0 issues or complaints with dinner. Need to try it!

Aloha Modern Kitchen - A Taste of the Islands Right Here in Calgary!…read more I've been meaning to check out Aloha Modern Kitchen for quite some time, and I finally had the chance to visit this past Sunday evening. Let me just say--it was well worth the wait! We ordered the Maui Ribs, Loco Moco, Charred Broccolini, and a few cocktails to round out the evening. As someone who's had my fair share of Loco Moco in Hawaii (it's my go-to breakfast item whenever I visit the islands), I was extremely excited to try it here in Calgary. To my amazement, Aloha's version did not disappoint--the Loco Moco and Maui Ribs were absolutely incredible! Packed with flavor, perfectly juicy, and cooked to perfection. I couldn't stop raving about it, and my guest was equally impressed. If you're looking for an authentic taste of the islands without hopping on a plane, I highly recommend dining at Aloha Modern Kitchen. It's a little slice of Hawaii right in the city.

The owner says he prides himself after training under the chef of Tin Roof Maui. I've been to Tin…read moreRoof Maui many times over the years. So here we go: We came for Lunch at The Aloha Modern Kitchen for all the raving reviews on line. Aloha Modern Kitchen food has a different flavour in food by far, not in a bad way at all it's not what we are use to in Hawaii. I know we are land locked as well as we can't get most of the Hawaiian spices as well as Aloha Soy. I wanted to so try the poke, but we have been spoiled with fresh fish in Hawaii. I didn't want to be let down with not fresh or frozen fish. Instead ordered appetizer of one Spam Musubi and the main was Mochiko Chicken plate lunch comes with 2 scoops rice and a small spoon of Mac salad and a Mochiko Chicken sandwich with fresh cut fries. Let's start with the Musubi with spam. Was very sweet and didn't taste anything like in Hawaii. Understand Aloha soy is not available in Canada, still tasted good was over priced for the small size at $6.00 for one cut at an angle. The two cheapest ingredients rice sprinkled with Nori and spam put together with soy and dried seaweed. It was small compared to what we get in Hawaii. Now the plate lunch, the Mochiko chicken was crispy and tender with just enough spice, rice beautifully cooked Hawaiian Mac Salad no flavour.$18.00 Mochiko Chicken sandwich was nicely presented with home cut fries chicken crispy and tenter very flavourful $21.00 Ordered one drink Lava Flow over priced for a martini glass that it came in at $15.00. Where we are use to a good size glass again in Hawaii. (I know I say this a lot) I'm not complaining by any means we are so use to the food in Hawaii and to try Hawaiian food in Canada just isn't the same. Still it's a nice treat!! I gave this place 5 star because it made it with ingredients they were able to get and worked with what they were given to give a close taste of Hawaiian food. All in all the food tasted good. -The service was wonderful -inside very clean and had the Hawaiian vibe -washroom very clean with a Hawaiian vibe. -parking is pay parking very limited first hour free. Will at some point go here for dinner.
