Today I visited this lovely eatery as a nice dinner spot before attending a show at the Met Philly. For appetizer, I got the Cappnata Sicilinia. Such enriching flavor of the eggplant! However, I didn't expect the bread to be cold, but maybe the dish was designed to be a cold appetizer. For drink, I enjoyed sipping on a Contessa Negroni. The drink was beautifully garnished, well balanced between London dry gin, vermouth, and aperol. I would highly recommend the drink to wind down and take in the atmosphere. For main course, I got the Porta a Porta. This dish is perfect for people who love stuffed crust with ricotta cheese. The tomatoes were cooked well, and wow the peppers *chef kiss* I think I would have preferred more peppers and less arugula on the pizza. Parking was rather easy with a couple of street parking options, but there are also some parking garages in the area. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and welcomed warmly, they made me feel special for traveling all the way from Baltimore to Philly. I look forward coming again, I would love to try the Capricciosa without prosciutto! I would also love to bring my fiancé because I heard this place makes vegan pizzas! ¡Ciao!

I'm a huge fan of neapolitan pizza. What I didn't realize until now is that I live right next to a place where I could get my cravings fulfilled: Sorellina. After passing by this cute spot on a daily basis, I finally got the chance to check them out during their happy hour today. Upon entering, I was wowed by their ambience. Their interior design has a mix of urban modern chic look with the exposed brick wall in combination with the casual elegance of the candlelit table tops and crystal chandelier adorning in the middle section. What I didn't particularly like was their chairs, since the lack of cushions left a lot to be desired in terms of tushy comfort. For food, I ended up trying their margherita pizza and nduja fritta. The crispy nduja's breading was nice and crunchy, but the filling was a bit too salty for my liking. The margherita pizza, on the other hand, was cheesy and the saucy. Since I prefer my pizza on the soggier side, this worked out well for me. If anything could be improved, however, it would be that their sauce wasn't seasoned enough. I tried mixing nduja fritta's filling with the pizza, but the combination didn't go as well as I thought it would. Something's missing from the taste profile, but maybe it's because I'm more used to meaty toppings.

Came back to try the Stella and it did not disappoint. I've been dreaming of coming back to sorellina for pizza because it's still my favorite place in the city! The crust quality and the quality of the ingredients are just excellent. We just don't live close so it takes us awhile to drive in. The Stella was so unique and delicious! The crust just folds around the ricotta in a really chewy yet crunchy way, and the ricotta is so soft! So so yummy. I would get this again!! Highly recommend it.

Really beautiful cool spot. Small but cozy. The bar seats are incredibly uncomfortable but the bartender was very attentive and friendly. The pizza is delicious! Love seeing the pizza over right there. Pretty small menu with limited food/ drink options.

The food and the drinks are incredible and the staff is attentive and helpful. The ambience is warm and inviting and the bar area is a great focal point. The arugula salad was fresh and tasty, and the margarita pizza was perfect!

I'm very skeptical of hotel-adjacent restaurants but this spot really should not be put in that category. It's new and maybe has some growing pains but really is worth the try. Have to start with the service. Alexander was so pleasant and answered every question I had with a thoughtful and educated answer-for example: what is DOP tomato (plz ask). You can tell that the staff enjoy what they do and believe in the spirit of the restaurant. Turning to the food, this was good-not great but eventually will be great. We weren't super inspired by the list of appetizers and ultimately went with the bomba calabrese (tuna-stuffed Calabrese cherry bomb peppers). This was a nice bite...it was worth trying. We were really torn about the pizzas as there is a good amount of options but not a ton of variety. Ultimately, we went with the bronte, our favorite of the night (pesto, mozzarella, mortadella, buratta, pistachios-what can go wrong?), and the night special of a fennel and lamb sausage combination. I'm not so used to having so much crust and so little base layer to substantiate the ingredients, but I realize this may be what makes a Neapolitan pizza? It just made it feel like the crust and breading was a skosh dry, so we ended up dipping into a side of olive oil. In terms of growth, I think the layout of the restaurant needs reworking. The center bar is gorgeous, as are the window seats. The remaining tables seem a bit like an afterthought and need to be arranged differently because the space isn't being used as effectively as it can be. And I know this is nit-picky, but the dishware didn't seem to match the theme and could be improved upon. Overall, I think this place has a ton of potential.

As locals to fairmount for about a year and half, this was our first time trying sorellina!!!! Safe to say we will DEFINITELY be back!!! Not only was the ambience and food amazing but the bartenders were impeccable!!! We were extremely catered too with excellent drinks and conversation learning more about this restaurant and the Divine Loraine. I would recommend this place to anyone and my boyfriend and I will definitely be back to see the bartenders!!!!

This is the casual restaurant from the chef/owners of the fine dining restaurant in the same hotel. Once it's fully open, it'll be a nice new addition to N Broad Street. The dining room is simple, but very light and airy. It also had some really fun art, which definitely gave off a vibe. I had a pizza that I think is called the "Stella," which has a ricotta-stuffed crust. It was delicious. I'll plan to come back a couple of months after their firm opening, so that I can get the "everything has been worked out" experience.

Some of the best pizza I've had in Philly (or anywhere!). The Stella was a showstopper. We also loved the tuna-stuffed peppers. A beautiful space!

Top fluffy doughs in the city - definitely well worth it. Drinks are fairly average. Space is interesting and airy

Excellent experience overall. The pizza is the closest to genuine Neapolitan in the city. We'll definitely be back!

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I thought this place was very cute. Outdoor limited seating…read moreand indoor area as well. The appeal was to get a quick read in amd have my pup with me. I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
