I stopped by Sorelle for some breakfast pastries at 22 & Old McHenry. Wow! They really transformed the storefront into Little Sicily! Honestly, go there to see for yourself. I am really happy for the addition to the area. These dishes looked so mouthwatering I had to take photos and I want to go back to try them. read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. My parents have been telling me about it for awhile and I finally made it. Food is 10/10 - super authentic Italian food. Every single person who works there is kind and attentive. There is always a gentleman walking around asking how you're doing, how your food was. Nice to see someone really care & take pride in their business. And then the vibe...wow. I don't have any pictures but the ceiling is covered in faux lemon tree branches. It's so gorgeous you truly feel like you're in Italy. A must visit. read more

Ambiance is perfect very cute decor and looked very clean . After that they need to tweak a lot. It is cafeteria style. You have to wait in line. They do not explain anything and after you order your food they call out your number piece by piece. I ordered seven things and I had to walk back-and-forth four times to get my whole order and then I was asked to step aside while I was waiting . Also, they ask you for gratuity when you're serving yourself and clearing your own own tables. Perfect if you just want a cuppa coffee, I don't think I'd go back for food. It was expensive and very average. The tiramisu is very runny and there was not a lot of meat on the mortadella sandwich. read more

Fun concept, service excellent and food was great. Will most definitely make this a go-to. Look forward to warm weather to enjoy their patio, looks very nice. Not rating 5 star only because had to stand in line to order our food & I prefer table service but otherwise so good I can get by that with no problem now that I understand the system of the living menu. You have to try it! read more

We've been going to this place for many months and was loving it. As it's gaining popularity, this place is busier and busier. It's sometimes so busy that the staff isn't able to keep up with orders in a timely manner. We recently started doing take out and have been waiting significant amounts of time for our food to be ready. I'm not sure if the quality is dipping or not, but after waiting a long time for our food to be ready - the pasta was overcooked and disappointing. It's sad because we have been loving this place for many months but after the long waits and lower quality of food, we aren't as happy as we once were with this place. read more

Angie (I hope I'm spelling this right..) she was great, she saw my friends and I needed water and there was no water left and IMMEDIETLY after she saw that she brought us all bottles of water. Great environment, it's so cute. The food was also great. Thank you Angie! read more

This place is a must! The food is delicious, very flavorful. We got 2 stuffed breakfast croissants, 2 pastry croissants, a drip, and a cold brew. Coffee was great as well, very strong. Service was very slow, seemed like the people behind the counter were flustered but I am sure that will get better with time. I am giving 3 stars because I asked for the plain croissant to be in a separate box due to my daughter having a pistachio allergy. She ended up not having a treat from here. Allergies should be taken seriously. read more

Sorelle - Plain croissant and pistachio croissant - Cafes Near Me - Long Grove, Illinois

Love a new place that's quaint and good value. Friendly staff. Wish they had some white sauce options in the menu, all are red. Order at the counter type place - One line for desserts, one line for savory. I see lots of people sharing stuff. I personally wasn't a fan of the "pizza" but the pasta, salad, desserts and arancini were great. My only other suggestion would be to have more detail on the menu when waiting in line ie - what's in the sauce or salad etc a bit hard to decipher. For family of 4 with dessert and coffee we did some sharing and spent about $80 read more

Sorelle is a fun addition to Long Grove! The ambiance is super cute with all the greenery and such. Food is great - good portions and good prices. It's an "order at the counter" type place, even if going for dinner. A little clunky for dinner IMO, but no big deal. We just prefer going for morning coffee or lunch. read more

I tried this place out and it was a horrible experience! Staff were rude, completely chaotic mixing up orders. After waiting for over 30 minutes for a to go order, no one apologized but instead were giving orders to people who came in after me and rolling their eyes at me any time I asked about my order. Will not go back, would give 0 stars if I could. Do better! read more

Love this place !!! Hard workers and it shows . Would love if they added some salads soon but overall top notch

Cute restaurant!! Nice seating area and ambiance. Coffee is really good. Food is ok!! Service is quick. read more

The food is Super expensive and definitely not worth the price. I Was there for breakfast.

What a fun place! The concept is really neat and the pastries were delicious. This was our first time here so we tried mostly the pastries since we had already eaten lunch. The pastries take a little extra time cuz they are all filled to order. The wait is definitely worth it. While waiting I was treated to some gelato samples. Pear? Pear! It was incredible. I also tried to chocolate and a the raspberry but the pear was my favorite. This restaurant is a welcome addition to the area. Stop by and show some love. read more

This restaurant is a Wow! We just love the homey atmosphere, the welcoming and kindness of all the employees from managers to waitstaff to the owner! It is a unique concept similar to what you see in Italy, Europe and some downtown restaurants; where you go up and order food based on the displays of entrees, desserts and appetizers, they then prepare it and bring it to your table. The prices are amazing and the food is great! We had the Mussels and the Spicy Shrimp pasta. They were delicious. We also loved the fact that they have a wine store with everyday liquor store pricing; you buy the bottle at retail, they open it for you and provide glasses and you get to enjoy a great bottle of wine without the typical 3-4X restaurant mark up. There are some new local restaurants popping up trying to create a downtown vibe with inflated prices, loud noise and stuffy attitude, but if you are looking for something different and love good honest food, good wine at a great value then Sorelle's is your place to dine. We just dined there Friday and can't wait to go back (we are bringing our daughter there on Wednesday). They have a fantastic outdoor dining area and they also have a schedule of live entertainment. What is not to like about this hidden gem in Long Grove? Is it perfect, no. Their dishware isn't fancy and their portions are very fair, but not overly large and the menu selection is limited. But this is a great place to dine, relax and enjoy with friends! Thank you for this wonderful restaurant concept in the suburbs. Special shout out to the owner on making dining affordable, delicious and fun! Oh by the way they serve Breakfast, and Lunch. Can't wait to try an espresso and an Italian pastry in the morning! read more

I love this little spot! I went twice in one week and the food was so yummy! The staff remembered my daughter too!

We finally came here for dinner, it was delicious and affordable. The restaurant is decorated so cut lots of greenery makes you feel like you are outside. The Osso Buco is so good, so is the cheese ravioli in vodka sauce..mmmmmm. We met one of the owners he was very nice. The staff greeted us and informed us to grab a table and then go pick out our food, then you pay and they bring it to your table. All the people that work here are super friendly. We will be back ...a lot read more

Small place but food is fresh and creative. Their pastries are also fresh. Hoping when the weather gets warmer to sit outside. I usually go to that parking lot for sunsets. read more

Cute atmosphere with good variety of food and drinks. My negative review is the music playlist. Music selection was from pop to Spanish and everything in between (too much variety) and volume was loud. We were hoping some soft traditional music in the background that would highlight the ambience and experience. Honestly, that was the downfall for us. read more

Wow!! My mom and I had no idea this place even opened until we drove by and stopped in. We got an iced latte and cappuccino - both delicious. I am very picky about espresso and have very few places I actually really like, espresso wise, the drinks were 10/10. We got tiramisu with the coffees and it was excellent. For our lunch to go I got arancini, a meatball sub (comes with seasoned fries that are great), and the Calabrese pizza. All were very good! The layout, seating, customer service, and ambiance was great. Great for a meal with family, working on your computer with a coffee, or catching up with a friend. I will be back (probably tomorrow ;)) !!! read more

Come on sorelle. Food is good. There was a line out the door. Is that a good thing? Not when you cant get people thru the cash register, and you have 14 tables open in the dining room. Buy a 2nd cash register and figure out your traffic flow. read more

A friend suggested we try this newly opened place. Wow! It exceeded all our expectations. It is self-serve, but they have so many different choices to pick from. I ended up sharing a Caprese salad and a slice of margarita pizza with a friend. You could taste that the mozzarella was homemade, margarita pizza was wonderful. I also had to save room for dessert and had a cannol. I truly like that. They don't fill the cannoli until you order it. Other friends had an arugula salad, meatball sandwich, and some type of a cheese sandwich. The prices are extremely reasonable. All the food is freshly made. My friends all ordered lemon cello drinks and said they were wonderful. They truly keep on top of cleaning off tables and making it a pleasant environment. Everyone here is so friendly. Plus, it is a nice place to have lunch. Someone said they're thinking of opening for dinner. I can see the dinner crowd jamming in. Will definitely return here read more

It is superb! Can't say enough! Lots of love is put into the space and food! Wishing all great success to the family!

Was really excited to try this spot but it was just not good... the pastries are definitely made from a frozen dough, the bread is very sad, and they skimped out on the ingredients for the sandwiches I had. The flavors are unfortunately quite muted although they sound great in the descriptions on the menu. For people who know Italian food, this just doesn't do it. But the place itself is cozy and family-friendly if you don't mind sub-par tasting food. read more

Super cute place! I have nothing bad to say about it. The food is wonderful and so is the staff. Everything is reasonably priced as well. The inside and decor is awesome you would never guess you're in the Midwest suburbs. I am glad I live close by, I will definitely be a repeat customer. Hopefully they add a happy hour or stay a bit open later come the summer time as they have wine and few cocktails available! read more

Worst dining experience. We were gifted a gift card to this place, so i stopped by for lunch with my son while running some errands. We ordered, and the cashier didn't know how to use the gift card, but said he would bring it back out to us and gave us our table name. We sat down on a very busy sunday, and 15-20 mins went by when i noticed others who came in way after us getting their drinks and food. Then a waiter came by asking if they could take the one extra chair at our table, i almost felt like we were getting kicked out at that point. I felt so bad, and left my young son at the table by himself while i went to ask about getting our gift card back since we didnt have any of our food or drinks which took another 10-20 mins. At that point, the manager forced us to take our food home which didnt include my son's meal. He didnt charge us for it, but i couldnt take the food without my son's meal so the manager had the spaghetti made and gave it to us which was burning hot. Don't get a gift card here, and if you're looking to relax go somewhere, anywhere else. You'll have a better experience at mcdonalds, chipotle, or panera where they wont forget your kid's meals or make you leave your child alone for a mistake the restaurant made during the holidays and winter break. read more

Unfortunately this our second try and the food remained disappointing, Food temperature needs attention. Soup was room temperature not hot. When sent back to heat up, never received it back. Finished dinner and had to ask for soup to be removed from bill. Server comment was "oh you never received"? Tried the margarita pizza, also not heated enough to even melt the cheese, nor did it taste fresh. Very disappointing. This was our second visit as sometimes a restaurant has a bad day, however equally disappointing. I really want to like Sorelle but at this point would only get a cappacino, which was really good, if I ever stop in again. A positive to note, is the decor is cute and restaurant clean. read more
